Nominees emerge for AMAA 2012

Nominees emerge for AMAA 2012

The race for honours at the 2012 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA kicks off with South-African movies leading the race by getting nominated in almost all categories.

The highest nomination earners, ‘Otello Burning’ and ‘How to Steal 2 Million’ with 13 and 11 nods each are also from the South-African movie industry.

Following closely is the Nigerian movie ‘Adesuwa’ with 10 nominations including in the Best Director and Best Actress in a Supporting Role categories.

The Best Actress in a lead Role race will be between Nse Ikpe Etim, Yvone Okolo, Ama Abebrese, Rita  Dominici and Uche Jumbo while Majid Micheal, Wale Ojo, Hakeem Kae kazim and Menzi Ngubawe will battle in the Best Actor in Leading Role category.

The awards will be handed out in Lagos on Sunday April 22, 2012.
