Actors in Kannywood, the Hausa language film industry in Nigeria, have expressed their support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari.
In a TV jingle, the stars called on all Nigerians to vote for Mr. Buhari in the forthcoming elections.
Adam Zango, one of the actors, said there was no better time or way for them to express their support for the APC presidential candidate than now and by doing the jingle.
“We have confidence in him that he will bring succour to Nigerians at this time where virtually everybody is yearning for change in the country especially in the northern part of the country,” Mr. Zango said.
He wished the candidate success and promised Kannywood would continue to promote him.
Falau Dorayi, Nafisa Abdullahi, Jamila Nagudu, Suleiman Bosho, Ali Nuhu, Ibrahim Maishinku, Dauda Rara were some of the actors featured in the jingle.
