Big Brother Hotshots: Past seasons housemates head to the house

In a bid to spice up the game, Big Brother told the housemates on Sunday that they had all been put up for nominations.

The show’s host also announced the introduction of ten housemates from past seasons into the house. The former housemates were chosen from the countries that still had contestants in the house. They include Miss P, Ghana’s Elikem, Natasha, Leonel, Nigeria’s Uti,  Tanzania’s Feza, Denzel, Zambia’s Sulu and South Africa’s Luclay and Vimbai.

The current housemates were told that they would have to compete with the ex-housemates from the countries to see who would remain in the house.

The ex-housemates are expected to enter the Hotshots house on Monday.

Meanwhile, Ik revealed to the audience that it was all a prank and there were no nominations this week and hopefully, no evictions.

Twelve contestants remain in the Big Brother Africa Hotshots house as Sunday’s eviction show saw the exit of South Africa’s Samantha and Malawi’s Mr. 265.

As part of the losing team of the upper week’s extravaganza Mr. 265, Idris, Goitse and Macky 2 were put up for eviction by their fellow housemates. However, going by the rules of the game, Samantha was added in by last week’s head of house, Sipe.

Sipe told Ik during the eviction show that her choice of Samantha was nothing personal but a strategy as the South African was a strong contender in the game. When Samantha and Mr. 265 were informed of their eviction, Sipe covered her eyes with her hands.

While in the house, Samantha was courted strongly by Zimbabwe’s JJ and not too seriously by Tanzania’s Idris.  However by Monday, Idris had swiftly moved on to Ugandan beauty queen, Ellah.  The two shared a kiss Sunday night.

Following the exit of mostly women in the first three weeks of the six-week old, a balance was struck in subsequent evictions as men were also how the door out.  With the last two evictions, the house is now evenly balanced between the men and women.

On Monday, Botswana’s Sheilla won the head of house challenge.

Zambian artise K Figo performed at the eviction show.
