Afrobeat king, Femi Kuti, on Tuesday said he signed a management deal with Chocolate City because the organisation has great ideas.

Mr. Kuti announced signing a management deal with the record label led by Audu Maikori.

Femi Kuti, said on twitter, “Signed a management deal with Chocolate city to manage me in Nigeria. Hopeful to do great things in Nigeria with CC.

“Yes I’ve been in business for a long time with a lot of international experience but what I love most about Chocolate City is that they are young and have great ideas too”.

Chocolate City is yet to say anything about the deal.

But in an earlier interview with PREMIUM TIMES, Mr. Maikori spoke about a big music artiste joining the label on a management deal.

Femi Kuti, a multiple Grammy award nominee, would be the first artiste to join the label on a management deal.
