Three contestants, including one of Nigeria’s representatives, Lilian Afegbai, were evicted on Sunday from Big Brother Africa Hotshots, the 9th season of the reality show.
The other evicted contestants were Uganda’s Esther and Kenya’s Sabina.
“I am happy for taking part in the Big Brother Africa show for 2014. It has been wonderful and I don’t pretend, I was actually myself throughout,” Ms. Afegbai said.
This is the first time in the history of the show that a Nigerian has been evicted so early, just two weeks in. Nigeria has won the show thrice.
Nine contestants were up for eviction, including Nigeria’s second representative, Tayo.
The other nominees were JJ – Zimbabwe, Frankie – Rwanda, and Permithias – Namibia, Lavenda from Tanzania, and Ella, the beauty queen from Uganda.
At the eviction show, the live audience were treated to a performance by Kenyan group, Maladi.
The remaining 22 contestants are competing to win $300,000 (about N49.5 million).
