Oyakhilome Divorce: Wife’s profile removed from Christ Embassy website

The profile of Anita Oyakhilome, the soon-to-be ex-wife of Chris Oyakilome, the founder of Believers Love World aka Christ Embassy, has been removed from the church website as the couple battles a divorce suit.

Starting from May, the couple was rumoured to be headed for a divorce with some members of the church setting up a Facebook page, “Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome?”

The members urged the two pastors to reconcile for the gospel, the church and their two daughters, Sharon and Charlyn.

The church, meanwhile, denied the reports of the divorce.

However, on August 29, The Cable new website reported that the divorce was a near done-deal with Mrs. Oyakhilome’s attorneys, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, filing a Suit No FD14D01650 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK on April 9.

The suit accused Pastor Chris of “adultery” and “unreasonable behaviour”.

Meanwhile at a Christ Embassy meeting with some UK pastors in Bermonsdey on May 16, Pastor Chris, who is the president of the Believers LoveWorld Incorporated while his wife is the Vice President, denied all the allegations by his wife.

He stated that the issues he has with his wife should not be analysed because it is not a political party. He claimed his wife was influenced by some bad friends who crave his downfall and described his wife as an angry and bitter woman.

He also said that most pastors’ wives who get married to pastors think they are equal to their husbands after they get married. He said his wife wanted to overpower the authorities of the elders she met when she joined the Christian ministry.
