Zeenat, played by Aisha Tsamiya, grew up pampered by her rich father.
Her father’s elder brother, Alhaji Lawal- Tanimu Akawu -is jealous that his younger brother is richer than him. Along with his wife, Larai -Aisha Kano – Lawal plots to make life miserable for Zeenat’s father, Alhaji Sani.
They criticise Alhaji Sani of been too subjective to his wife and not properly taking care of Alhaji Lawal.
Eventually, Zeenat’s father and her mother, Amina – Hadiza Mohammed – died. While Amina die of heart attack, Alhaji Sani could not bear the lost of his wife, he also fell terribly sick and later he died in the hospital, leaving their only daughter, Zeenat in the hands of her uncle.
Alhaji Lawal took over his brother’s wealth and turned Zeenat into his house help.
He also married her out to Ali -Adam Zango, who used to be the house’s gateman employed by late Alhaji Sani.
Unknown to Alhaji Lawal, Ali is a prince who ran away from his kingdom after his father died.
I can categorically say that this movie has all it takes to be a classic.
The cast was beautifully matched.
Kano and Akawu, known for their villainous roles, also gave their best in this movie.
Tsamiya was equally enchanting in the role.
The choice of location is commendable and continuity was well done.
I can safely say, at the moment, this is the best movie so far from Kannywood in 2014.
