I will produce Kannywood’s first comedy series – Rikadawa

Comic actor, Rabiu Rikadawa, has announced his plans to bring the first comedy series to Kannywood.

He told PREMIUM TIMES last week that he has assembled his crew and was about to start shooting. The comedy series would be much like the British Mr. Bean series and would marketed on CDs and shown on television, the actor said.

“I have written my script and as you know, I’m known here as a very hilarious comedian.

“The only way I think I can give my best is to produce something like this to my people and fans. It is actually going to be a great and good one of its kind,” Rikadawa said.

Also popularly known as Dila, meaning squirrel, from his early days of acting, Rikadawa said through doing what he was good at, he planned on bringing his best to the Kannywood audience.

“Let me tell you, as far as I know, nothing like this have ever happened in the industry and this will throw out the challenge to others like me, to come out with creative movies like mine,” he said.

Rikadawa, who started out in the industry as an actor, recently produced his second movie, Ihsan.
