Ebola: Twitter users call for Jim Iyke to be quarantined

The actor was wearing a face mask and sitting in the first class lounge of the Monrovia airport.

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, on Wednesday posted on Twitter a picture of himself on a flight from Liberia.

The actor was wearing a face mask and sitting in the first class lounge of the Monrovia airport.

He captioned the picture: Not ashamed to admit this scares the Jesus outta me #Ebola.

There are fears that the virus has spread to Nigeria following the death of Liberian, Pat Sawyer, at a Lagos hospital.

Mr. Sawyer who flew into Lagos for a conference, told authorities that he may have contracted the virus after visiting Liberia for his sister’s burial.

Twitter users expressed their fears that Jim Iyke may be allowed back into the country without proper health verification.

@icalldibbz tweeted: Please ooo, James Ikechukwu aka Jim Iyke should be quarantined.

Another Twitter user @avaberry said: Jim Iyke or not he should be tested.

Although wearing an expensive face mask, people noted that the actor was wearing a short sleeve shirt at the airport. The virus is known to be passed through body fluids.
