Why I didn’t attend Jude’s wedding – Peter of PSquare

On Jude’s wedding, Peter posted a picture of himself in front of a hotel on Instagram.

“If you do me I do you, God no go vex”- PSquare sang in their hit single, “Do Me”.

Certainly, Peter Okoye, the other half of pop duo, PSquare, paid his elder brother, Jude Okoye, back in his own coin by missing Jude’s wedding which took place in Anambra on Thursday.

Jude ‘engees’ Okoye missed Peter’s traditional wedding to Lola Omotayo in 2013 and then posted a picture of himself in a Lagos studio.

In turn, Peter, Thursday, posted pictures of himself with a friend in front of a hotel and later with another group of friends inside their Omole, Lagos- SquareVilla- home on Instagram.

After some of his followers criticised him for being childish and saying he should have attended the wedding, he immediately went on a series of tweet explanation, saying the only family he knows is the one he built.

“Pple talking shit about blood” which blood is thicker than the 1 of my children? #mufus. asked fans “Does ur mum and dad care more about der own siblings more than they care for u? #mufus” he wrote via his @PeterPsquare handle.

Peter also blocked some of his followers who criticised him.

“#mufus talking about family! My number 1 family for now is the 1 I built. And nobody can change dat. #amout”, he said.

  • I would have shared in Hussaina’s upbeat about the President’s rare behaviour this week, but then I quickly realised that the President is a puppet on a string whose behaviour is dependent upon the political and ethno-religious calculations of those pulling the strings. Next week, the puppeteers may decide to pull new combination of strings that will make the President relapse beyond his ‘normal level’ of bad habits. Can a puppet that is not faulty ever behave outside of the intention and skill of the puppeteer? Hmm, quite difficult. A Puppet certainly needs a miracle.

Nice one Hussaina. I cautiously share with you what Ms. Adichie captioned in an article as the miraculous deliverance of Oga Jona. I pray this string of miracles continue. He should weld the political courage to suspend (after all he did not hesitate to suspend the present Emir of Kano when he was at the helm of affair at CBN) our dear minister of heaven and earth, the one holding forth at the petroleum ministry, the one the birds are whispering is so dear to our lord and savior in Aso Rock. He should stop instigating ripples in APC states. He should stop being petty, childish and vengeful.
