The 2014 Kaduna entertainment award this year came with a big surprise as young and new actor, Ibrahim Daddy, beat known stars of Kannywood to clinch the top award.
The award ceremony which took place early Sunday, saw the turnout of celebrities who came to witness the yearly award celebrations.
Ibrahim Daddy, with the film “AUTA” was nominated alongside Adam Zango and Yakubu Mohammed for the Best Actor Award.
Votes which were collected online saw Daddy beating the two to win the award.
Uzee concept’s ‘Oga Abuja’ also won in the best film category, while Shola Adekunle won the best Producer/Director of the year 2014.
Lucy Ameh won the best actress award.
Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES after the event, Ibrahim Daddy said he was indeed a lucky person and that he believed it was hard work that earned him the award.
“I cannot imagine beating Adam Zango and Yakubu Mohammed for an award now in my career. This guys are two great guys and I am so happy to have competed alongside them and win,” he said.
