Ayo Animashaun says Headies not dictated by sponsors
The CEO of Smooth promotions, producers of the Headies Awards, Ayo Animashaun, described the claims by critics that the awards ,which held in December, 2013 were dictated by the alleged lead sponsor, MTN, as baseless and unfounded.
Animashaun revealed this in an interview with soft-sell magazine, Encomium Magazine.
“I don’t like to add my words to what is not valid or baseless. It is just a waste of time. Some people do not think before they talk. In the first instance, MTN was not the major sponsor. You saw Airtel everywhere. Olamide that won the biggest award of the night is an Etisalat ambassador. When people’s argument is baseless, I don’t join issues with them,” he said.
Headies is an entertainment award that celebrates artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
Psquare acquire apartment, not ‘mansion,’ in Atlanta, US
Contrary to reports on blogs that the PSquare duo, Peter and Paul Okoye, have acquired a mansion in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, PREMIUM TIMES can authoritatively confirm that the new home is an apartment.
PSquare’s rep, Bayo Adetu, who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES on phone, said bloggers love to make noise over nothing.
“No one said it was a mansion. I don’t know where they (bloggers) got that from. If one builds a bungalow, they will say it is mansion.”
He however refused to comment on the cost of the property.
The duo already own a house in Omole Estate as well as a yet-to-be completed one in Parkview Estate, both in Lagos.
