Chocolate City accuses Brymo of violating a contract
A Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos has adjourned the suit between music production company, Chocolate City, and singer, Brymo, to December 5.
The case came up for hearing before Justice Ibrahim Buba on Monday in Lagos.
Chocolate City, headed by Audi Maikori, took Brymo to court; accusing the singer of violating his contract with the label. Both parties have been having months of settlement talks which appear to have been unsuccessful.
The plaintiff, Chocolate City Limited, who was represented by C.O.
Madubuko from L&A legal consultants, is believed to have failed to serve the defendant, Brymo, with necessary court papers, such as the motion on notice and originating process stating the claims of chocolate city and the reliefs sought against the defendants. Brymo was not represented in court.
Justice Buba directed that all the court papers be served on Brymo before December 5 when the case will come up for hearing again.
