The picture book is an autobiography of the actress.
Celebrities from the Nigerian entertainment industry came together to support one of their own, Kate Henshaw, as she launched her autobiography on Tuesday at the Agip Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos.
The book, titled ‘The World of an Actress: My Story’, introduces readers to Henshaw’s world, from her childhood to present day, through pictures.
The actress, who studied Medical Biology at the University of Calabar, has starred in over a 100 movies starting with ‘When the Sun Sets’, which shot her into the limelight in 1993.
Present at the event was the president of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ibinabo Fiberesima, as well as actresses, Monalisa Chinda, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Iretiola Doyle, and Joke Silva; as well as comedians, Julius Agwu and Basorge Tariah Jnr, who was the anchor of the event.
The First Lady of Ekiti State, Bisi Fayemi, who was billed as a special guest, praised Henshaw for being committed to her career.
“She’s a real person,” Mrs. Fayemi said as she praised Nollywood for doing Nigeria proud.
Henshaw thanked her colleagues and friends for the huge turnout, and also the late Nollywood actor, J.T Tom West, who she credited as one of the people behind her success.
