Weekend Getaway got 10 nominations.
Nollywood movies, Weekend Get Away and Alan Poza, lead this year’s nomination list at the prestigious Nollywood & African films critics USA, dubbed African Oscar.
Weekend getaway got 10 nominations in various categories of the award (best film, best cinematography, best drama, best editing, best director, best supporting actress in lead role, best actress in lead role) while Alan Poza had 9 nominations: best director, best drama, best film, best editing, best actor in supporting role, best actress in lead role.
Billed for September 14 at a red carpet event at Warner Theatre in Washington D.C, NAFCA will also honour President Goodluck Jonathan and his Liberian counterpart, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf with its Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The First Lady, Patience Jonathan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; Amobi Okoye; and U.S. rapper, Curtis Jackson(50cent), will receive NAFCA’s Image Awards.
