U.S. Jazz Envoy Headlining Abuja Jazz Festival

The event holds in Abuja on Saturday.

The United States Mission in collaboration with the Abuja administration, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and National Orientation, and the Open Mic Forum presents the First Annual Abuja Jazz Festival on Saturday, June 29 headlined by the international jazz star, Stephane Wrembel, and his group.

The event will start at noon with workshops with Abuja musicians and Wrembel, followed by a joint concert at 3 p.m. The venue is the Abuja Pavilion by the International Conference Center, across from the Radio House, Garki 11.

Internationally acclaimed guitarist and composer, Stephane Wrembel, brings his jaw dropping talent, palpable musical rapport with his Band, and vivid and textured compositions to life at the Abuja Jazz Festival and other unique public and private performances and workshops, as part of the U.S. Jazz Envoy’s tour of Nigeria, under the U.S. State Department’s “International Language of Jazz for Peace” program.
