Fashola appoints new Head for Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board

The previous head of the Film Board retired.

The Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, has approved the appointment of Dele Balogun as the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board.

This, according to a statement issued on Friday by the State’s Head of Service, Adesegun Ogunlewe, in Ikeja.

Mr. Ogunlewe said that the appointment took immediate effect.

Mr. Balogun was until the appointment, an Assistant Director of Public Relations in the Public Service Office. He succeeds Dapo Awobotu who recently retired from the state`s civil service at the age of 60.

The new executive secretary has private and public sector experience in journalism, public relations and marketing spanning about 23 years. He is an alumnus of the University of Lagos and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Mr. Balogun also belongs to some professional associations including the Nigeria Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
