Actors and Actresses of the Yoruba sector of Nollywood are set to slog it out in the Yoruba Movie Academy Awards, YMAA.

Muyiwa Ademola, Yomi Fash Lanso, Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Chatta, and Muka Eyiwinmi were nominated for the Best Actor in leading role, while fuji music stars; Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Saheed Osupa, Ajoke Cinderella, Sule Alao Malaika, Salawa Abeni got nominated for the Best Musician in an Acting Role.
The organisers of the awards will also pay tribute to some of the Yoruba movie icons in its Honorary Award category. Professor Akinwunmi Ishola, Late Duro Ladipo, Late Kola Ogunmola, Lanre Hassan (Iya Awero) and Adebayo Faleti all got on the Honorary awards list.
