MTN endorses past Project Fame winners, Iyanya, Chidinma, Praiz, Imike as Ambassadors

Davido’s deal was also renewed.

It is the season of brand endorsement for Nigerian musicians, with the telecom sector taking the lead. Etisalat had recently ditched its endorsement for actors to endorse a new set of singers.

Telecoms giant, MTN, however took a different direction as the company signed all winners of its sponsored music-talent-hunt-reality-show, MTN Project fame West Africa. Those signed as ambassadors include pop singer Iyanya; soul singer, Praiz; R&B vocalists, Chidinma; and Mike Anyasodo (iMike).

Iyanya, who was obliviously happy tweeted, “Done deal #endorsement #thankyouLord.”

Also, Davido, who has an ongoing deal with the company, got the ambassador deal renewed despite never taking part in the MTN Project Fame shows.

A representative of Praiz for declined to comment on the new deal, saying “no comment, no quotes”.
