Top Nigerian hip-hop artist, P-Square (Paul Okoye), has reportedly abandoned the mother of a newly-born child, said to be his baby, in a London hospital.

P-Square is questioning the paternity of the child, delivered by a former Miss Plateau state, Elshama Benson Igbanoi,  news website, Saharareporters, reports.

He is pushing for a DNA test, and has left the baby and the mother stuck in the UK hospital, the report says.

While the dilly-dallying continues, medical charges has reportedly hit about £5,000 and the parents of Ms. Igbanoi have tried in vain to have either P-Square  or his family take responsibility.

SaharaReporters said it spoke to the woman’s father, Benson Igbanoi, in Abuja. Mr. Igbanoi denied his daughter cheated on the singer, and confirmed detailing multiple emails to P-Square concerning his daughter’s pregnancy for him, but had received no response.

His daughter, Elshama, 19, insists she never slept with another man, having lost her virginity to P-Square when she was 17 years old.

P-Square recently welcomed his first child in Atlanta, and ironically, the mother of the US-born baby is said to be a close friend of Elshama’s.
