Police are attributing the rapper’s death to a drug overdose.
Chris Kelly of the nineties hip-hop duo, Kris Kross, is dead.
The 34-year-old was found unconscious in his home in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday afternoon. He was subsequently rushed to the Atlanta Medical Center, United States, where he was officially pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be conducted, Thursday, regarding the cause of death although police have said that it could possibly be due to a drug overdose.
Kriss Kross debut album, Totally Krossed Out, went platinum in 1992 and had the mega-hit “Jump.”
The duo, known also as Mac Daddy (Kelly) and Daddy Mac (Chris Smith), reunited on stage in February at the So So Def 20th Anniversary All-Star Concert.
