Zango emerged Kannywood Best Actor of the Year.
At the last Kwankwasiyya Film Awards in Kano, Adam Zango, popularly called Prince of Kannywood, emerged as the “Best Actor of the Year” for his role in the movie “KAREN BANA”. He defeated other great actors like Ali Nuhu and Sani Danja to win the award.
The Kaduna based Kannywood star has in recent times dominated the Kannywood industry with great films and songs. The awards ceremony, which was organised by the Kano State Government on March 22, held at the government house, Kano; and had in attendance Kannywood film producers, song writers, directors, and actors.
Representing the governor at the occasion , the Kano State Commissioner of Information, Farouk Jibril, said the government of Kano is doing all it can to support the Kannywood film industry, and will continue to host such awards to encourage actors and film producers in the Kannywood.
The winner, Adam Zango, said the award is an awakening call for him to improve on his performance in the Kannywood film industry. He thanked the government and the people of Kano for all the support they have been given to the movie industry.
The actor told PREMIUM TIMES that the award is a challenge for him not to relax in his career but to remain focused so as to win more awards.
