Nigerian-British star, Tayo Elesin, storms Bayelsa for AMAA 2013

Tayo has starred in numerous television soaps films and stage plays.

The Nigerian British super star, Tayo Elesin, who has starred in widely acclaimed television soaps such as Law and Order U.K., Holby City, BBC, Doctors, BBC, and many others will be in Nigeria for the Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, holding in Bayelsa this weekend.

She will storm the awards alongside renowned British actress, Angela Dixon.

Tayo, who lives London and New York depending on where she has to work, has LLB, LLM, and MSC in Law. She, however decided on acting as a career.

Her other works include: Casualty [BBC], Acting Raw [USA/Germany], Alison Jackson Studios [BBC], Kodaline music video ‘All my friends’ for [SONY Music/Worldwide], MOREMI, where she plays the heroine Moremi in the African myth for [Spectrecom Studios], Amazing Grace (BAFTA/Rocliffe live performance), amongst others.

Tayo, 25, has also done several stage plays as well.

She has also done various voice over works in the U.K. and U.S. She has worked in Musicals in London’s West End and off-West End shows like Godspell, Pippin.

She is particularly proud of ‘A Cry of Innocence’ as this was a huge production at the Greenwich Theatre with the finest Opera singers in the world and the story line was loosely based on Stephen Lawrence’s racial injustice case in London.

Her theatre credits are vast and she has starred at many major theatres in the U.K., with the most recent being Millers Tale (Edinburgh Fringe), Where are we now? (Albany Theatre), UK tour of Husband Has Gone Mad Again (George wood Theatre/Flash Musicals Theatre) by Ola Rotimi playing the feisty but charming Sikira; and many more.
