Goldie, Harvey, Prezzo and the many theories

Two men, Andrew Harvey and Prezzo, lay claim to the late Nigerian singer

The story of the life and times of Goldie is incomplete without mentioning the two leading men in her life, Kenyan rapper/ ex BBA contestant, Prezzo, and her alleged husband, Andrew Harvey, whose identity was kept under wraps up until the demise.

With Prezzo already/always in the picture and Harvey surfacing with intimate pictures of his wedding/time with the late singer, Goldie’s fans are still at a loss as to what place both men occupied in her heart. Since both men, in several interviews, say they were on the phone with the late singer before she complained of a headache and subsequently passed on, it becomes a little more confusing to ascertain whether or not the claims are true.

Following her death, Malaysia based Harvey walked into the spotlight granting various online interviews backed with pictorial evidence of their 2005 wedding. He backed a stern warning to Prezzo to leave him and Goldie’s family to mourn in peace as Prezzo had caused us lot of pain.

Following the threat by Harvey who happens to be legally married to the late Goldie judging by the pictorial evidence, and is also an administrator on his late wife’s official Facebook page, Prezzo, has decided to travel back to Kenya. Although many Kenyan online sites earlier claimed that Prezzo was already in Nigeria, they now allege that the rapper, a divorcee, is making his way back to Kenya.

It gets a lot more interesting to read that both men claim to have been on the phone with the late singer, before she was rushed to the hospital.

For instance, in his first interview granted to netng.com, Harvey, who said Prezzo became an important fixture in Goldie’s life because the media feasted on both parties, claimed he was on the phone with his late wife shortly before she was rushed to the hospital.

“I was talking to her on arrival in Lagos before the fateful event. Prezzo will say anything to get attention. That Goldie fell in love with him, well, people fall in love and it’s not impossible to love more than one person, but there are different levels. She liked him initially, but began to despise him and distanced herself as he tried to use her, she complained he was very manipulative,” he revealed.

Prezzo , who is reported to have denied the engagement story (his rumoured engagement to Goldie) as reported by certain bloggers, granted a telephone interview with Kenyan based, Daily Nation where he revealed that they both planned to spend Valentine’s day together.

“She had already landed in Lagos from the US, where she had attended the Grammy Awards and was waiting for me to have a late Valentine’s dinner. We chatted for a very long time. In fact, I had to cut her short as my flight was about to take off”.

“By the time I landed in Lagos on Thursday at about 10pm my phone had run out of charge. However, I found it strange that it was Goldie’s driver who came to pick me up at the airport when usually it would be her receiving me. I entered the house and decided to charge my phone. Then I went on Twitter, and that is when I started seeing condolence messages coming in. By the time I landed, she was already dead. I think the relatives didn’t know how to break the news to me,” he said.

According to Prezzo, besides a late Valentine’s Day dinner with Goldie in Lagos, he had intended to stay in Nigeria for about a month, as Goldie was shooting a reality show, Tru Friendship,

“Goldie had already started shooting the TV show, so I was supposed to be in it as well,” he said.

Also in a pre recorded interview on Kenyan TV Show, Churchill Live, a few days to Valentine, Prezzo talked about his blossoming love with Nigerian singer, Goldie, and even mentioned that he would be visiting her on Valentine’s day.
