D’banj bags 4 nominations at World Music Awards

D’banj gets international recognition.

D’banj has been nominated in four categories at the upcoming World Music Awards.

He is also set to perform at the event which will take place on December 22 in Miami, U.S.

The categories include, World Best Artiste, Best African Artiste, Best Song and Best Video.

However, D’banj is up against tough competition in each category. In the ‘World Best Artiste’ category, he was nominated alongside 72 other artistes including Justin Bieber, Jay Z and Chris Brown.

For Best Video, the humorous Oliver Twist video is up against Youtube’s most viewed video of all time, PSY’s Gangnam Style. (For a full view of the categories and nominees, visit the World Music Award website).

Even to a casual observer, it may appear that D’Banj may not be coming home with any award but getting to perform on that stage should be an honour in itself. And if we know D’banj the entertainer, he is probably going to bring the house down and have everyone doing his Anaconda dance.
