Chris Attoh and Rita win actors/actress of the year in different awards for the year 2012.

Tinsel actor, Chris Attoh, has won Actor of the Year at the Men of the Year 2012 awards. The event which took place at Oriental hotel, Lekki, was organized by Mode Men magazine, in association with Johnnie Walker.

Other Actor of the Year nominees included OC Ukeje, and Wale Ojo. The results were based on an online vote.

Meanwhile in Kenya, Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, won Best Actress at the Kalasha Film and Television Awards.

The award was presented for her role in Kenyan film, Shattered, which was directed by Gilbert Lukalia. Earlier in the year, she won the AMAA award for Best Actress in a Leading Role – also for her role in Shattered. Other best actress nominees were Patricia Kihoro (in Miss Nobody) and Joan Amara (in Miss Pathetic). The 2012 Kalasha Awards took place on December 8 in Nairobi. It is organised by the Kenyan Film Commission.
