The song is to appreciate family, friends and fans, Wizkid says.

Popstar, Wizkid, Wednesday, released a single titled, Thank You.

The fast-rising singer says, the song was written in appreciation of friends, family and fans that have supported him throughout this.

Explaining the inspiration behind the single, Wizkid said, “It is always a great feeling to see my fans appreciate what I work so hard to create. I just need them to know I appreciate and love them all!”

The release of his debut album, StarBoy, last year launched the Surulere-bred crooner to national fame. It has also earned him several awards such as “Artiste of the Year” at The Headies Awards and “Best International Act” at the BET 2012 Awards.

“Thank You” was produced by SPELLZ and was mixed and mastered by Suka. Whizkid is signed onto EME Music along with Banky W and Skales.
