Lady Gaga acquires 55 pieces of Michael Jackson’s memorabilia.

At an auction on Sunday, Lady Gaga spent almost a million dollars on 55 Michael Jackson memorabilia.

According to British tabloid, Mirror, the haul included the studded black leather jacket Michael wore in the Bad video and his spangly white glove.

The auction took place at Julien’s auction house in Los Angeles where collectors spent over $5 million acquiring the late King of Pop’s iconic costumes.

A Daily Mail report states that some of the money raised is expected to be donated to Guide Dogs of America and Nathan Adelson Hospice of Las Vegas.

On Monday, Lady Gaga, tweeted to her over 31 million followers, “The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide”.

The “Born This Way” singer is currently in South Africa where she performed in Johannesburg on Saturday and Cape Town on Monday.
