One of the foremost e-commerce platforms in the country, Jumia, has announced the merger of all its known online brands into one company.
Jumia said former platforms exploring food, real estate, automobile, travel, and general goods market have now become a part of the Jumia franchise.
“HelloFood now Jumia Food, Jovago now Jumia Travel, Kaymu now Jumia Market, Camudi now Jumia Car, Lamudi now Jumia House,” the firm said in a tweet.
The company said online sellers will find this new venture a way of growing their customer database because the new Jumia platform showcases opportunities for customers of different dispositions.
According to Jumia, dedicated customers of the old brands now have the opportunity to experience the same service but on a better level as the rebranding will enable a better experience for them.
Jumia was founded in 2012 by Jeremy Hodara and Sacha Poignonne, since then, it has gone on to become one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Africa.
In May 2016, Jumia optimized its mobile platform making it easier for customers to make their purchases with their mobile phones.
