NEITI made other startling revelations of corruption in the fuel subsidy scheme.


The government of Nigeria earned about N30.09 trillion as total revenue from oil and non-oil sources between 2007 and 2011.

The revelation is contained in the Fiscal Allocation and Statutory Disbursement Audit done by the Nigerian Extractive industries Transparency Initiative, NEITI, in Abuja.

NEITI Chairman, Ledum Mitee, also made other startling revelations, including that concerning massive abuses of the fuel subsidy scheme by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation [NNPC] and other agencies of government involved in the management of the scheme.
