Guinness tops losers chart after Monday’s trading

Nigeria Breweries topped the gainer’s chart

Guinness topped the losers chart after Monday’s trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange with a N9.42 share price loss. The firm’s share price closed at N192.00, down from N201.42.

It was followed by Mobil, which lost N3.00, closing at N122.00 down from N125.00 before transactions. PRESCO lost N2.18 and closed at N41.58 down from N43.76. FO also lost N1.96 and closed at N93.04, down from N95.00; while PZ’s share price closed at N35.49 down from N37.00, losing N1.59, after the day’s trading session.

Nigerian Breweries topped the gainers chart, gaining N3.00 at the close of the day’s transactions as its share price rose from N142.00 to N145.00. It was followed by WAPCO, which gained N2.45 closing at N109.45, up from N107.00.

Oando was third on the top five gainers chart, recording a N1.86 share price gain, as it closed at N20.06, up from N18.20. Stanbic IBTC came fourth, recording a share price gain of N0.90 and closed at N19.95 from N19.05. Guaranty Trust Bank also gained N0.66 and closed at N25.39 from N24.73 before trading.

The value of transactions after trading stood at 5.490 billion after trading recorded in 5, 999 deals. The volume of transactions stood at 559.7 million after the day’s transactions. The Exchange’s market capitalisation stood at 12.52 trillion while the Exchange’s All Share Index (ASI) stood at 38, 964.75 after the day’s trading.

Zenith Bank led the top 5 most traded shares after Monday’s transactions as it traded 55,577,993 shares valued at N1.152 billion. Access Bank came second, trading 53,031,174 shares valued at N429.6 million. Transcorp came third, trading 40,647,608 shares valued at N152.0 million. FCMB traded 39,335,862 shares valued at N144.6 million while Afriprud traded 39,170,645 shares valued at N131.8 million.
