Nestlé Nigerian Plc has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dharnesh Gordhon.
The company announced this via a press statement signed by its Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Samuel Adenekan. Mr. Gordhon who is South African, succeeds the former CEO, Martin Woolnough who retired from the company in May.
According to the statement, prior to his new appointment, Mr. Gordhon held several commercial roles for Nestle in South Africa and Malaysia. The statement also says that the new CEO is committed to Nestle Nigeria being recognised as the leading nutrition, health and wellness company in the country. Mr. Gordhon also has a strong belief that the key ingredient for success is an authentic passion for people and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence in action, the statement said.
Mr. Gordhon holds various academic and professional qualifications including a Masters in Business Administration, MBA.
