The airline is currently undergoing a restructuring exercise.
The Managing Director of Aero Contractors, Akin George, has resigned his appointment.
This was contained in a statement e-mailed to newsmen on Sunday.
The statement said that George’s resignation followed the beginning of a restructuring, initiated by the Assets Management Company of Nigeria.
“This is the beginning of a restructuring exercise that will make the airline slimmer and stronger with the aim of making it more competitive,” the statement said.
The statement said the company’s board had accepted the resignation.
“The board accepts the resignation and appreciates the services he has rendered to this airline over the last two decades.
“We wish him the best in his future endeavour, the statement quoted the Chairman of the board”, Funsho Kupolokun, as saying.
Aero Contractors has appointed Obaro Ibru, who until now was the Deputy Managing Director of the company, the Acting Managing Director.
