NNPC names New MDs for Port Harcourt, Warri Refineries

The new appointment take place with immediate effect.

 

The Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, on Monday approved the appointment of new Managing Directors for the Port Harcourt Refining Company, PHRC and Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC.

The new appointments, which take immediate effect, include Ian Udoh for PHRC and Paul Obelley for WRPC.

They are said to be part of the corporation’s effort to reposition its operations at the corporation’s key Strategic Business Units, SBUs.

Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of NNPC, Fidel Pepple, who conveyed the approval of the appointments in Abuja, said a number of other senior management staffs were also promoted, while others were redeployed to various positions throughout the company.

Those promoted in the new arrangement include Farouk Ahmed, formerly Executive Director, (Commercial) Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, PPMC, who is now Managing Director, Nigeria-Daewoo Shipping Company, NIDAS; Samuel Babatunde, formerly Executive Director (Operations) of the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, now Project Director Olokola Liquefied Natural Gas Project, and Abdullahi Dandume, formerly Executive Director (Operations), Nigerian Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO), now promoted Managing Director, NETCO.

Also promoted included Aliyu Sambo, who was  General Manager, Maurel et Prom, M&P, now Group General Manager Accounts; Aholu Don Beks, formerly General Manager, Information Services Department, who has been promoted Group General Manager, Information Technology Division; Edwin Bako, Group General, Manager Medical; Sylvester Idemudia, Group General Manager, Greenfield Refineries, Okhes Jonathan Group General Manager, Power; Benjamin Obaigbena, Group General Manager, Research and Development and Dan Efebo, Group General Manager, Human Resources.

Those redeployed include Gabidon Meheux, formerly Senior Technical Assistant to the Minister of Petroleum Resources, now Managing Director, NNPC Services; Chris Osarrunwese, formerly Group General Manager, Human Resources, now Group General Manager, Downstream Business Development; and Bayo Ibirogba, formerly Group General Manager, Greenfield Refineries, now Group General Manager, Engineering.
