Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye who plays for reigning Greek Champions, Olympiakos, has emerged the winner of “the best goal” of the Greek Super League (GSL) match day 6 games.
Ideye was on target as Olympiakos cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over AEK Athens
The Nigerian international, who has now scored 15 goals in 28 league appearances for Olympiakos, struck the fine opener as his side secured maximum points in the last league fixture over AEK Athens before the international break.
A delighted Ideye dedicated the award to his club mates in a tweet saying: “I got awarded ‘the best goal’ of the Greek super league (GSL) match day 6 today,Big thanks to my team and everyone who voted for me.”
The former West Brom man now leads the Super League top scorers’ chart with five goals from four games.
Ideye has two goals more than second placed Panathinaikos’ Berg.
Having failed to replicate his goal scoring form for the Super Eagles in last weekend’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Zambia, many will like to see Ideye come good in the next game against Algeria.
