Nigerian players still campaigning in the UEFA Champions League will have their hands full when the group phase of the prestigious club competition gets under way in earnest.
Ahmed Musa and his Leicester City teammates have been grouped to face Portuguese giants FC Porto who knocked out Roma in the play-off stage.
The Foxes will also face Belgian side FC Brugge and København in their bid to make some impact in their maiden appearance in the Champions League.
On his part, Kelechi Iheanacho and his Manchester City teammates have a tough task ahead of them having been placed in the group B of Thursday’s draw alongside, FC Barcelona.
Two Nigerians may also be at opposing end in one of the Group B games as City also billed to face Celtic FC who at the moment have Efe Ambrose in their squad.
The last team in Group B is Borussia Mönchengladbach.
In some of the other group pairings, Arsenal have a date with PSG while defending champions Real Madrid will be contending with Dortmund in Group F.
