Odemwingie might join Crystal Palace.
Nigerian striker, Osaze Odemwingie, might soon actualise his dream of revitalizing his ailing club career as reports on Sky Sports suggests that Crystal Palace are closing in on signing the West Brom forward.
Odemwingie, who was once an iconic figure with the Baggies, has since fallen out after a forced move to QPR in the January transfer window ended in a farce.
Latest development, however, could see Odemwingie make a switch to join the EPL new boys who on Monday reportedly re-launched a £2.5m bid (over N603.2m) for his services.
Palace boss, Ian Holloway, is said to be keen to offer Odemwingie an escape route out of West Brom as he looks to bolster his attacking options.
Holloway has already brought in Dwight Gayle from Peterborough this summer and he sees Odemwingie as an ideal foil for the young forward in a new strike partnership. He is also negotiating a deal for Newcastle midfielder Dan Gosling.
Talks are thought to be at an advanced stage between both clubs as Palace look to add to their ranks as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
Though Albion now look destined to take less money for Odemwingie than they wanted in the last window, the club management over the time has reiterated they would not allow him go cheaply.
West Brom has already secured the service of former French International, Nicolas Anelka, to bolster their ranks.
