Chelsea played a draw against the Italian team, Juventus.

Nigeria international, Mikel Obi, was on the pitch for all 90 minutes, Wednesday night, as Chelsea began the defense of their UEFA Champions League title with a hard earned 2-2 draw against Italian champions, Juventus.

Chelsea looked like they would have a flawless start in their campaign as they cruised to a 2-0 lead courtesy of a brace off the boots of new Brazilian signing, Oscar, in the 30th and 33rd minutes respectively.

The Italian Champions, however, showed their stuff as they rallied back scoring a goal in the 38th minute to reduce the deficit in the first 30 minutes.

Stanford Bridge were, disappointed as Juve got a deserved equalizer in the 80th minute through one of their substitutes.

The other Nigerian in the Chelsea line up, Victor Moses, was not given any playing time in the game.

In other matches, Emmanuel Emenike, was also on parade for his Russian team, Spartak Moscow. The team slumped to a 3-2 defeat in the hands of Spanish giants, Barcelona. The Russian team looked like they would cause an upset at the Camp Nou, but Messi and teammates gave them a real shake on Wednesday night.

Also at the Old Trafford, Manchester United struggled to a lone goal victory over Galatasaray.
