Teenager, 20-year-old boy arraigned in Lagos for anal sex

A cleaner, Ebere Nwankwo, and a house keeper, Job Martins, who allegedly engaged in sex through the anus, were on Thursday charged before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Nwankwo, 16 and Martins, 20, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and unlawful sexual intercourse.

The accused reside at Goshen Estate, Ikate and Aboki Estate both in Lekki respectively.

The prosecutor, Ajaga Agboko, told the court that the accused committed the offences sometime in August at Aboki Estate in Lekki.

He said Mr. Nwankwo had stolen a Zenith Bank Automated Teller Machine Card ‎(ATM) belonging to Martins and had used it to withdraw the sum of N22,000.

Mr. Agboko‎ also alleged that Martins in return, committed gross indecency with the teenager by engaging in acts of sodomy.

“The accused were caught having anal sex and upon interrogation, Nwankwo explained that Martins, his boyfriend, had forced him to have sex with him because he took his ATM and withdrew the sum of N22, 000.”

According to the prosecutor, Nwankwo had promised to pay him back the money when he received his salary, but Mr. Martins said he could forgo repayment if Nwankwo agreed to engage in anal sex with him.

The offences contravened the provisions of Sections 136 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

The duo pleaded not guilty.

The court denied them bail as the magistrate said only the High Court could grant them bail.

The Magistrate, Mrs O. A. Ogunbowale, adjourned the case to Nov. 11 for legal advice from the office of the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). (NAN)

    Homosexuality is NOT a Crime.
    Homosexuality is a Sin.

When two men decide to have consensual conjugation with each other, they are in no way hurting you and I.
    Hence it isn’t a crime.

I particularly find the act reprehensible. But I simply move on and leave them to theirs.

But only public affection or display by Gays can be prosecuted .
The Law can’t take a peek into bedrooms.

So only public display of affection can be prosecuted NOT the sexual act itself.
