Nassarawa State has been witnessing crises in recent times.

The Nasarawa State Police Command on Wednesday said it has deployed 230 policemen to crises-prone areas of the state to restore peace.

The Police Commissioner in the state, Abayomi Akeremale, said this in an interview in Lafia.

He said that the deployment would help government in its effort to restore peace in the affected areas.

“Due to the distance between the state capital and the affected areas, the command has deployed its men to Udeni, Magagi, Agbashi, Bassa and Rutu, among others,” he said.

The commissioner called on the people to support the police to execute their duties and stop taking the law into their hands.

He also urged them to always channel their grievances to the appropriate quarters for proper action.
