The Anambra PDP has been in crisis for a while.
The National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has set up a fact finding committee to help in “engendering lasting peace” at the Anambra State chapter of the party.
The committee, which has five members drawn from the members of the NWC, was formed by the Working Committee at its meeting held on Wednesday at the party’s National Secretariat.
A statement signed by Olisa Metuh, spokesperson of the party, said the committee will be chaired by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Mustapha, while the National Legal Adviser, Victor Kwon, will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee include the National Financial Secretary, Bolaji Anani; National Treasurer, Bala Kaoje; and the National Vice Chairman, South East, Austin Akobundu.
The Anambra chapter of the PDP has been in crisis for almost 10 years with different groups claiming leadership of the party in the state.
