EFCC arrests Abubakar Audu’s son, wife over property scam

The couple allegedly fraudulently obtained money from their client.

The fugitive ex-governor of Kogi State, Abubakar Audu, Monday is in the news again as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, arrested his son Mustapha Audu, and his wife, Zahrah Audu, over an N18 million property scam.

The arrested suspects, through their company, Constructors Guild Limited, obtained the sum from one Nike Kolawole under the guise of helping her secure choice property in Katampe Extension, and Caemly Estate, Idu Sabo, in Abuja.

They are expected to be arraigned at the Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja on Tuesday.

Ex-Governor Audu, himself, is a fugitive having evaded arrest and escaped out of Nigeria when he was to be arrested and prosecuted by the EFCC for misappropriating billions of naira of state funds while he was governor.
