Kelechi Iheanacho saved the day for Nigeria, scoring the only goal as the Super Eagles laboured to a slim 1-0 win over Tanzania in their final game of the AFCON 2017 Qualifiers.

Despite the huge crowd cheering them on at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, the Eagles had to wait till the 78th minute before they could register the first and only goal of the game.

Tanzania keeper Manula gave a man-of-the-match display, stopping the Eagles on a number of occasions. But the shot-stopper had no answer to Iheanacho’s thunderbolt in the 78th minute.

Saturday’s win was the only one recorded by Nigeria in the AFCON 2017 Qualifiers as they finish with five points in four games.

Egypt, on their part, topped the group with unassailable 10 points from same number of games like the Super Eagles.

Even Siasia under 23 would have done better. Buy NFF is clueless, can’t take any right decision.

Nigeria have suffered unprecedented misfortunes under the 15 months of APC government, Nigeria never had it so bad at any time in the history of Nigerian nation ,Nigeria have never being so badly bruised, cowed and humiliated in all sectors as we are experiencing today. Something must be spiritually very wrong with this government that everything about Nigeria is turning negative at the same time and at the speed of light.may God Almighty never allow Nigeria to experience such a bad leadership again with a strong negative aura ,may Nigeria never again fall into the hands of men and women who are worst than incompetence.Amen.

The last match I watched in that stadium had transformation ambassadors crawling all over the place like agents of saTAN…. The match, against lowly rated bafana banana ended 2-2 after they led us 2-0…. It also ended our hopes of qualifying for that Nations Cup. That match was during the days of your lord and master…. Perhaps the win today only serves the purpose of exorcising the foul aura of your pay masters.
Let all good people of Nigeria raise a toast to better days for our darling Super Eagles…
