Kano Airport
Kano Airport

The Nigerian military has intercepted a Russian plane loaded with large amount of arms and ammunition, bound for neighbouring Chad, a security source has told PREMIUM TIMES.

The plane was seized early Saturday at the Aminu Kano International Airport.

The aircraft, which was headed for N’djamena, the capital of Chad, landed in Kano at about 2a.m. Nigerian time, the source said.

All crew members of the aircraft have been detained by Nigerian forces.

More details later.

  • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

    No hassles!

If GEJ has the balls, all he needs to do is simply embargo the plane and offload the contents as SA did with our money.

Why look a gift horse in the mouth?

He would be a ‘fphool’ to let this bounty go.

    • amazing2012

Well said, surely the weapons will end at the hand of BH. With this, Nigeria has enough reason to invide Chad and dealt with them severely. Except is Nigeria government had hand on it as many people alleged.

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

        Thanks, Ore.

If I was Jonothing though, I wouldn’t order an invasion of Chad because there is more from whee those arms are coming from.

I would simply put my fingers on Chad’s economic jugular and squeeeeze damn hard!

That is how to be a “giant”

        • Onike24

Who will do the squeezing? Mr President?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Sigh…

            If only…

    • Nwa _ Africa

It is only if our President have the balls to do so.

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

I truly hope he does this time.

This plane is a lifeline to the country, whichever way you dice it!

There is not a lot, economically, that Russia can do to Nigeria at this point in time.

If anything, an almost isolated and ostracised Russia, read Putin, in Europe and the West, needs external spheres of influence and I doubt that Mr. Hollande et al would be more than happy with Mr. Deby for the flagrante d’alliance with Russia.

        • Bart simpson

Please you need to really get educated on this issues before trying to educate others, you are only misleading them ! Russia is the main country supplying Nigeria with weapons. The USA and its western allies refuse to sell weapons to help Nigeria defend itself. Russia is currenty training about 1200 Nigerian troops, Russia is our biggest ally. So stop this your wardrums against Russia ! If we go against Russia then we lose our arms supply !
What you should rather be asking is for confirmation (the story might be false), and if the story is true then what exactly makes the plane Russian ? Is it the design of the plane ? or the crew on board ? or the name of the airline ? Or is “Russian” meant here to say “eastern europe” ? Our journalists are not really known for their accuracy, so take it easy. Besides you should remember that many criminals of all nationality sell weapons in the black market without the agreement or knowledge of the countries they come from.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Bart, I am afraid you have not written anything to sway my opinion.

On one hand, you state Russia is our main weapons’ supplier and at the other end, you still stated there is the possibility of these people being criminals or the plane not even being Russian!

            Ol’boy, which one you dey?

Do you not realise the implications of a foreign cargo landing within our territory with undeclared cargo which turns out to arms and ammunitions destined for a country suspected as supporting insurgency against us by our own intelligence services?

            Seriously, do you?

If SA hangs on to money that is moving illegally, what is your justification for defending weapons (instruments of death)?

Na wa for you guys o.

          • Bart simpson

Take your time, drink some water, have a little sleep and then focus and read what I wrote.
            Let us start with facts:
            1) Russia is the main supplier of weapons to Nigeria in its bid to destroy the terrorists who want Nigerians dead.
            2) Russia is currently training about 1200 Nigerian soldiers to end terrorism in the north-east.
            3) Our journalists have a reputation of not being accurate especially in matters relating to defense.

So now, I said you should wait for confirmation about the whole story which may turnout to be a fake story. I also asked this question: if the story were true, then what exactly makes the plane russian ? Is it that the airline is based in Russia, or that the crew is Russian ? Or is the name of the airline Russian ? Or is the word “Russia” meant here as “eastern europe” ? There are many loopholes in this story. And if getting to the truth is what you want (rather than spelling doom for us by antagonizing our main weapons supplier) then you will use your brainn and agree with me.

          • The Prince

Kay, why do you dignify people with warped thinking like Tawanda and this Bart or daft with any response by know you should know people that are candidate for Aro with the way the talk and reason. Whatever the issues are they must throw in their warped reasoning into the ring with series of contradictions to confuse people. They already have reserved bed space for them in mental homes because they are suffering from acute Stockholm Syndrome.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

@The Prince, I wish I could explain why.

Guess I give everybody the benefit of the doubt, until they prove incontrovertibly otherwise.

          • sammy chicken foot

You mean the arms have to go Ndjamena and then brought back Nigeria? you too Better to
            Wait till you get educated.

          • Bart simpson

“You mean the arms have to go Ndjamena and then brought back Nigeria?”
No I didn’t say that. Actually I am not even convinced that the story is true.
Read what i wrote ! read it from the beginning to the end.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Sammy, I have given up on these guys who modus operandi is simply to turn logic on its head and then abuse whoever challenges them.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Are you really a lawyer….you don’t seem grounded in governance ,international relation/diplomacy and intelligence at all.
Russia is traditionally Nigeria’s main weapons supplier,Nigeria also procures from some other countries of the former east bloc like Ukraine,Former Yugoslavia etc. Only the UK supplies Nigeria from the west and a little bit from Germany.
Recently Cheap Chinese aircraft appeared on the scene but they are clearly second-rate and Nigeria may not buy from China again except ammunition.
The USA sold Nigeria transport planes in the past ie Herculus C-130 and donated a refurbished troop carrying ship (non-lethal) well over 40 years old and retired from service in the USA,I think they gave us another very old ship of non-lethal nature earlier.
Well above 70% of our weapons have origins in Russia or the former east bloc !

          • Bart simpson

I think the guy (kay soyemi) might be a boko haram member in disguise, he wants us to antagonize our main weapons supplier, so that we end up with no weapons being supplied to us. He is standing up for boko haram interests.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Infact, my name is Shekau!

There, does that make you happy?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Thanks for educating me, Professor.

Amazingly, I did not see the US on your list of ‘crucial weapons’ suppliers, save the “Charlie” cargo planes. So, why the beef with the US by your paymasters?

You guys just pluck opinions out of the air and seek to label them as facts, when it suits you.

No surprise sha, even Jonothing has put Nigeria on cruise control towards disaster and is simply making up policy decisions as he twaddles along. Your position is not new.

          • Bart simpson

I really wonder how many braincells you have left. Listen: Russia sells us 70% of our equipment !!!!!
And the US refuses to sell us equipment !!!! The C130s were bought in the 70’s or 80’s ! Understood ?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

@Bart Simpson, I agree with you.

My brain cells must be dying if I am having a serious discussion with a comic character like you.

You have my apologies for taking you seriously instead of seeing you as a caricature for amusement.

          • Otile

The word is ‘Expired’, perhaps expired braincells.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            lol

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

During the Clinton-Bush(jnr) era ,there was a push to establish a new strategic alliance with some countries termed “regional powers” in Africa, there was also the need to establish AFRICOM to further enhance this policy. Nigeria was one of the countries picked for this new relationship.
This is the first real test of that relationship and it’s limitations are clear for all to see. The refusal to sell Nigeria attack helicopters is a clear indication as to the limits of that relationship so Nigeria had to run back to Russia and explain issues !

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

The same AFRICOM that was repudiated widely across Africa in a move led by UMYA?

Stop throwing words around and trying to confuse matters with unrelated issues. The US stated clearly that it would not sell weapons to a military that is involved in human right abuses; and in your “cleverness”, you asked the same US to stop training your military!

Talk about cutting the nose to spite your own face!!

          • Bart simpson

Actually, shekau, listen, the US talked about human rights abuses allegations ! “allegations” to mean unconfirmed. And it is telling you said “a military” and not “our military”, it shows your orientations as a person, you do not have Nigeria’s intersts in mind. The US sells weapons to saudi arbaia which is the worse rights abusers in this world, indeed they fund and arm terrorists among which isis. The US also gives weapons for free to Israel which has a worse human rights record than any African country. Yet that is where you stand ! amnesty international is a terrorist loving organisation, that is why they refuse to condemn terrorists and rather condemn governments and people fighting for their survival against terrorists, and they are the ones making all these funny and fake allegations, it is just so that they can help boko haram in the killing of Niigerians. But you who have confessed that your name is shekau (therefor showing that you have no grudge with boko haram terrorists) you know all this, but again it is the orientation of your person which is showing.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Can you specifically state what was “unrelated” to the subject matter in my last comment?
You are clearly not up to speed with events.
The Egyptian army plotted a coup and removed a democratically elected government, then when unarmed protesters took to the streets, they killed more than 1000 civilians but guess what?….they were supplied with Apache attack helicopters after a few weeks delay.
There are different levels in international relationships, apart from the supply of oil,the USA does not need Nigeria and now oil is out of the equation so THEY DO NOT NEED US…UNDERSTAND?
On the other hand a country like Egypt is needed to project US policy vis a vis Israel in the middle east. The excuse of “human rights abuse”(the human rights of captured terrorists for that matter) is a lame but legitimate excuse. It is left for Nigeria to know where her bread get’s buttered !

          • Guest

            He isnt!

          • Otile

Anybody suffering from inferiority complex can claim any title to boost morale.

            Who cares?

          • okwu

You are smart. The west seem decided to get Jonathan out of the WAY. They want Nigeria in the hands of their boys who has ruled u.s. since the war. Those whose only interest is to build up fat accounts in the western world.
Since Yar Adua and Jonathan, Nigerias oil sales and business confidence is swelling not only the size of our economy but that of our region as well.
They can’t allow that to happen because the raw material fueling their economies are taking almost at no cost to them from Africa.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Wow, you take the can for imbecility indeed!

“Disguised supplies” and Nigeria unveils the masquerade and exposes it to the world.

Infact, MEND was not responsible for the October 1st Independence Day bombing!

          • PROF

I have always told you Tawanda ,ignore that adolescent called Kay Soyemi, he is a fraud, he spills so much crap ! We all know him for being a clown .

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Please use spell checker, Prof.

But then, it would not help you if you do not know the difference between “been” and “being”.

Of course, you can always re-enrol in an Adult Education Extra Mural Classes for English Language.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

I just want to expose his intellectual limitations in a very public manner !!

          • PROF

You are correct ,the joker must be exposed ,i just wonder how he got online in the first place .

      • Chris1408

The president and his beer parlor generals lack balls. Shekau would have used up have of the ammos before day break

      • PROF

how are we sure this is not the work of the fulani sponsors .

    • Chris1408

You’re right my brother. Which ever way you look at it, it’s a blessing. If it had gotten to Chad, Boko Haram would have gotten it. Now we have their weapons. They have been stealing Nigerian army weapons to fight us. Now we’ll use their weapons on them. After all GEJ has been crying he can’t buy arms. Here comes manna from Russia

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Walahi, I will relocate to Chad if GEJ gives them these weapons or let it go, for any reason!

        lol

        No, I won’t really!!

What goes around, must surely come around. Mr. President finally got good luck!!!

        • Chris1408

Or turn it to bad luck. You know the man always ridicule Nigeria in international community. Next thing is apology to Chad and hand over the weapons to Boko Haram

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            rofl.

Funny enough, it is not an impossible scenario.

I recollect something similarly during the reign of this same Jonothing.

          • Chris1408

            LOL

    • growthengine

How are we sure GEJ didn’t order those weapons through Chad?

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

So why have they “arrested” goods they should simply, and discreetly, have taken delivery of?

The crap being spewed by Tawanda can only be consumed by those looking for straws to clutch at.

        • growthengine

It was just a theory, you may know the truth only if you hear from your sister who works in the SSS.

  • Concerned Citizen

Hmmm. Let us see hw this unfolds. But i feel this more proof that there are foreign hanfs at work in this boko haram affair.

  • Des Rees

Does Ndjamenna not have an airport, why detour to Kano – a longer flight distance from Moscow?

    • Rommel

because while its true that the arms is meant for Boko Haram, the payment was from Nigeria

      • Bart simpson

        you think like a heghoat.

        • Rommel

even the spelling of goat you could not get correctly, how much more your reasoning

          • Bart simpson

That is how you show your lack of education, there is a difference between reasonning and spelling, but you wouldn’t know because you have no brains.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Your cerebral functions has been downgraded or completely eroded by bigotry !

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

          He is quite brainless !!

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Good question !! This is most probably an operation by three countries to sell a dummy to those who may want to disturb the flight en-route Nigeria from Russia …….smart move !!

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

        How very perceptive not!

You think this is a game of “b’oju b’oju” where you hoot with glee after pulling one over your playmates?

As @Wahala would state, “thinking is not for everyone”. Certainly not you if the above is the product of your brainwave!!!

Or, has your brain been microwaved?

        • Bart simpson

You on the other hand, you are a terrorist sympathizer on disguising as a Nigerian. All you want is to stop the supply of weapons reaching the Nigerian military. You want that because you want to help boko haram. Indeed, you have been told several times that most of the military equipment our armed forces are getting are from Russia, but you insist on antagonizing Russia ! Or perhaps you are just the kind of patriot who believes the armed forces should fight against the terrorists anti-aircraft guns with stones ! Hypocritical boko haram member.

          • Rose Ankeny

Pls stay sane don’t try going pathetic. You have be trying abysmally at it but just keep trying.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

…and everytime you pull one over, you get up and shout “ooobi”?

            How clever!

      • growthengine

        Wow that’s deep.

  • Rommel

What will Jonathanians say this time around? president Jonathan has been visiting Tchad lately and we understand that money has been exchanging hands between the two heads of state and Tchad is suspected to have links with Boko Haram so are they using the money from president Jonathan to purchase arms for Boko Haram?

    • Bart simpson

Who is “we” ? Are you skyzophrenic ?
What i get is that you want to sound serious while pondering your conspiracy theory.
Perhaps you ought to learn one thing or two about the burden of proof and also about sound reasonning.

      • Rommel

sound reasoning my friend is one thing I am good at,empiricism and I never waste my breathe on sentimental low lives

        • Bart simpson

you are just another conspiracy theorist who takes himslef for Albert Einstein, in your case Erwin Rommel, duche.

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Why waste time on someone who almost certainly got his “education” from the boob tube?

His spelling skills, or the lack of it, and his nom de guerre says a lot.

      • Rommel

You can’t even spell schizophrenic, what more can I say

        • Bart simpson

I speak several languages idiott, moreover I am not a medical doctor, so misspelling a medical term isno big deal. And I will also admit that I am not a spelling expert, I do make mistakes sometimes. Are you satisfied, mr brainless conspiracy theorist ?

          • Rommel

idiot, brainless, this that hahahahahahlol! is that all you got? poor Nigerian, always insulting people, funny people, lots of Nigerians are only criminally smart but brain slow

    • Message66

It is very sickening the way some of you reason. Has politics run all of you insane? Trying as hard as you can to rope the president into this issue. Is this the first time an aircraft carrying arms landed in a Nigerian airport? Your likes would have probably claimed also that the Iranian arm shipment intercepted in Lagos was funded by the government if it happened in this dispensation. Learn to give your government some credit when they do something purposeful.

      • Bala

I think the president forced this on himself when he decided to comment without thinking it through regarding the October bombing and the subsient drama involving the president’s aides and Henry Orkar. You can puncture his arguments on over ten instances after that. I think Goodluck utterances put him in the box he is in,

      • Rommel

Even that episode raised so much dust but why on earth would aircrafts carrying arms shipments meant for neighbouring countries first barth in Nigeria before continuing to their “so called” destinations? a nation that has insurgency problems already? how far is Ndjamena from Kano that an aircraft from Russia will dock first in Nigeria before Tchad, what da hell are you saying?

  • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

If the arms were destined to Chad and was ordered by the Chadian government, then it is a normal situation but if the shipment was not ordered by the Chadian government then the development is worrisome.

  • Chris1408

Thank you Russia for donating this arms to Nigeria at this time of need

    • Nwa _ Africa

Hahaha, honestly we should confiscate the arms and use them to destroy Boko Haram.

      • Chris1408

Abi oooooo, Wetin you dey find for sokoto dey for shokoto

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

You may have a point……it does not make sense that a plane destined for Chad, less than 200 miles away would stop over at Kano…….THANK YOU RUSSIA !!

Those who tried to stop the attempt to buy fom South Africa might stop the plane en-route NIgeria…they were sold a dummy by the willy Russians !!

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

If you were more cerebral, instead of asinine, you would know that the subterfuge scenario you are unsuccessfully trying to paint, would not have been leaked for public consumption so that other consignments can be successful.

But no, nitwits like you would put up ANY excuse to explain madness. Or did you think one plane load of weapons is all that Nigeria needs to prosecute the war against insurgency?

This plane was not meant for Nigeria, but boko haram, via Chad.

Please hide your vegetable and locust beans infested mandibles of your behind your loose lips!

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

In your moronic world,if it was meant for Boko and if boko is in a conflict with the Nigerian government, why would it transit through Nigeria to Chad ?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Listen, I’d rather be in my own “moronic world” than in your own version of “brainy world”!

The reality is such that boko haram weapons from Russia has been intercepted in Nigeria. What Nigeria does with it is the subject of this thread, not stooopid justifications as to why we should let it go onward.

Which bit of that is too difficult for you to understand?

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

So are you then insinuating that Shekau ordered the weapons and it was loaded for him in a Russian cargo plane which avoided every other transit point and chose a northern Nigerian airport with military presence 24/7.
The Russians cannot be morons like you or do you think differently ?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

No, they are morons like you!

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Forget about the moron issue, just answer the question !!

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

“The Russians cannot be morons like you or do you think differently ?”

            That was your question, brainless.

I already gave you my answer.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The question is contained in the first paragraph please !!

          • Bart simpson

kay soyemi is a boko haram sympathizer in disguise. All that interests him is to cut Nigeria’s arms supply line. And to do that he is blaming Russia for giving weapons to boko haram. He is doing all this with no proof, but it is all intentional. Some people are trying verry hard to break Nigeria’s supply line. Just ask kay soyemi this simple question : if Nigeria choses to follow his suggestions and severe ties with Russia with no proof, no investigation, nothing, then what is next ? How do we get weapons to fight against the terrorists ? That is where you will see that what he wants is for the terrorists to have the upper hand. What i do know now is that the reason journallists keep calling the aircraft Russian is because it is an Antonov, by the way Antonov is a ukrainian company, not a Russian one.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

There is no point diverting out of your element.

The simple fact remains that thinking rationally is beyond your ken.

Try and justify this as much as you want, you can’t wish away the fact that the plane is now in the arms of the Nigerian law enforcement agents. Any attempt to let it go to Chad can only confirm the complicity of your pay masters in the whole boko haram rubbish.

Trying to be clever by half in claiming that boko haram is at war with Nigeria is only a product of your warped thinking because boko haram foot soldiers have stated they answer to the same commander as our soldiers too.

These are weapons your bosses were trying to get to source unsuccessfully.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Right,so you are then of the position that the Jonathan government imported the weapons they want to supply to Shekau to kill his soldiers but made the weapons pass through the same soldiers and other security agencies guarding Kano airport 24/7 abi ?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Sigh…

Think I’d get something more intelligent from whispering down a well.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

My question is short just answer!

      • Chris1408

Na wao, you never fail to amuse me.

      • The Prince

Suppose your speculation is true, my questions are:WHAT IS THE “MODE” OF PAYMENT THIS TIME? IS THE “MODE” THE SAME AS THE “MODE” OF PAYMENT PRESIDENT JONATHAN USES IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN CASE? Did President Jonathan fly raw Russian Ruble in Ghana Must Go Bags from Lagos to Moscow in Pastor Ayo Oristejafor’s private plane? If so, how much was flown INSIDE Pastor Oritsejafor’s plane with Ghana Must Go Bags THIS TIME to Moscow? I am just asking just in case your speculation is factually correct!!! Naija dey always laaaaf me. dis Tawanda sef!

Seriously dnt know what nigerian govt is taking us for..

  • Afolayan Babatunde Felix

last time i heard about this was last year June 17, 2013.
    how come again?

    • Bart simpson

it is probably a fake news.

    • Nwa _ Africa

      Give us your source

  • Jacsey1

Gullible men like Fani-Kayode will tell you it is an APC plane. Instead of everyone to come together and find a lasting solution to a common problem, they toy with everyone knowing they won’t directly be affected. Let Pres. GEJ be firm and hard on Russia and Chad on this occasion. We will surely triumph over boko haram.

    • Bart simpson

Russia iis our main supplier of weapons. Without Russia, no weapons for us !
Please you need to really get educated on this issues before trying to
educate others, you are only misleading them ! Russia is the main
country supplying Nigeria with weapons. The USA and its western allies
refuse to sell weapons to help Nigeria defend itself. Russia is currenty
training about 1200 Nigerian troops, Russia is our biggest ally. So
stop this your wardrums against Russia ! If we go against Russia then we
      lose our arms supply !
What you should rather be asking is for
confirmation (the story might be false), and if the story is true then
what exactly makes the plane Russian ? Is it the design of the plane ?
or the crew on board ? or the name of the airline ? Or is “Russian”
meant here to say “eastern europe” ? Our journalists are not really
known for their accuracy, so take it easy. Besides you should remember
that many criminals of all nationality sell weapons in the black market
without the agreement or knowledge of the countries they come from.

      • Peter Perceival

Thanks for the educated contribution. People are always quick to sensationalise without any logic. Boeing planes are made in the US. So if cocaine is found on a Boeing plane in Australia, there are people who would link it to the US! For all I care, that it was a Russian plane does not mean anything. Indeed, without Russia, Nigeria would probably have no arms to fight any insurgency!

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

This particular Antonov cargo plane has the Russian flag boldly painted on it’s tail fin !

          • Peter Perceival

Let’s assume it was the Russian national carrier. Does that mean that the Russian government has knowledge of its cargo? Anyone can charter a cargo plane from anywhere to transport his goods. By the way, the story says the cargo was destined for Chad. Is it wrong for Russia to supply arms to Chad? Does Chad not have a right to procure arms for itself? Has a link been established between that cargo and Boko Haram? The point in Bart Simpson’s comment, which I endorse, is that we should stop jumping into sinister conclusions before incidents are investigated.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Well you have a point here,we just do not know the facts !!

          • Bart simpson

Wait, non of the reports said that the Russian flag was painted on the cargo !
And to the best of my knowledge nobody took a picture of the aircraft. So I wonder where you are getting that from. You should be aware that “journallists” often use photos which were not taken at the scene of action to replace the photos they couldn’t get.

        • Bart simpson

I have just found out that hte plane is an Antonov, that is Ukrainian, not Russian. ANd still that doesn’t prove anything, but I just don’t understand why they keep saying “Russian aircraft”, where is the link to Russia ?

    • Scalywag

Fani-Kayode’s is enlightened self-interest at play. It’s not gullibility

  • Sanchez Chibueze Aniamalu

While the FG is finding it difficult to buy arms in its fight against Boko Haram, this plane landed from nowhere full of arms on a platter of gold.

  • Olutola

Either GEJ wants to rope-in APC or the Army have his balls this time. Either way we await the story unfold.

    • Holmes Kandy

Why wait? You av already concluded n judged. If the outcome does not buttress your judgements, u will shout conspiracy!!!

  • warry

    Let full investigation commence.

    • Bart simpson

      Someone speaking with wisdom.

  • growthengine

Holy Cow. The picture is getting clearer. There is a connection between Chad and some Nigerians to Boko Haram for sure. I am sure GEJ will reveal the Nigerians involved at the right time. Ill timed revelation can lead to a civil war, which I think we are already in anyway.

    • Scalywag

And with SAS-GAS in the mix

  • Message66

Very simple measure here. What the government needs to do is empty the cargo into the Nigeria army armory. Also the type of arms may tell you what they are planning.

  • sharp shape

President Jonathan is the best president ever in the history of the geographical entity known as Nigeria and most people that criticise the president need to know the difference between criticize and insult in political context of a democracy
There’s a difference between criticize and insulting the president ! Criticize is when you disagree with a particular policy attributed to the president and proffer solution ! Insult is when you call the president names and make disparaging remarks about his family ! Recently a Republican top shot was forced to resign for making disparaging statements about the Obama’s little girls ! Anybody that does not offer solutions to a particular government programme attributable to the presidency is not criticizing but insulting ! That is unacceptable in a democracy ! Recently opposition political gladiators in Nigeria have told us how bad Jonathan is without telling us what they will do differently ! I challenge the most fervent buhari supporter to tell us on the forum how buhari intends to halt boko haram ! ? You will not hear how all you will hear is Jonathan is funding boko Haram ! These armchair generals only know how to abuse insult and denigrate ! I recently read the APC manifesto and it sucks ! One the actors in the APC promising these eldorado are the same scallywags and low lives corrupt politicians that we know , and a change of nomenclature from PDP to APC will not surgically change tinubu to a saint or atiku to an incorruptible public officer ! How can a man unlearn a bad habit at 76 ? Buhari is a very divisive figure and mentally not up to the task to lead Nigeria into the technological age ! We need an opposition party to balance our democracy ! Sadly at the moment APC is not that party ! Their main characters has starred in too many political horror stories in Nigeria ! Period ! May Allah (swt) bless GEJ the best president in the history of this fraud called Nigeria ! Amin

    • ICE 1641960Innocent

I quite agree with you, when one tells apc the truth they tag you as pdp man and sometimes their criticism want to suggest that they are behind the crises in the country just because they want power at all cost even when they have not told Nigerians how they are going to run the country better than pdp. May God deliver Nigeria.

  • FortB

SSShhhhhh, may just be a smart move to get us our much desired weaponry, since powers that be had been making concerted efforts to block our arms procurement. It may have been a good strategy to use Chad to buy the arms and smartly divert the delivery here in the name of technical problems with the aircraft. Just postulating o. Desperate times require desperate measures na

  • walejohnson

Believe it or not, the weapons are meant for B/H to use to keep on bombing Northern part of Nigeria, and Jonathan knows about it (recently South Africa and the denial that follows; till date, we dont know those Nigerian involved and till date our money is still held in that country). Recently, the army have just received some delivery of military suplies from Russia. Moreover, Chad has an airport; how come the plane comes to Kano? You watch, the president will not say a word, he will rather appoint a committee to look into it and that will be the end of the whole story. If the opposition raises any questions, the attack dog will bark like you name it. At the end of the day, the matter will be overtaken by events. This is how Jonathan runs Nigeria of 170 millions people.

  • the Russian Nazi

It’s just another humanitarian shipment by our dear president Putler, he’s been very helpful to all kinds of pro-Russian rebels around the world.

    • Bart simpson

an other crazy person here ! doctors please pay attention.

      • alex

        Bart simpson = kremlin bot

        • Bart simpson

Russia is supplying us about 70% of our military equipment and you expect me to be insulting them ? You are a funny person, go and check your brain !

  • Bart simpson

Why does every internet forum so easily falls into the hands of crazy people who voice nothing but their crazyness.

  • GEO

Chad is waging war against Nigeria or is being used to wage war against Nigeria.

    • umolu

What you are looking at is a conspiracy against Nigeria because Nigeria is vulnerable and gullible as a country. First France invited Jonathan to Paris to show him the hand of Esau and left him to figure out the voice of Jacob.A Russian plane with cargo for Chad with France as a listed consignee. Unfortunately, Nigeria is all surrounded by French owned countries so where do we go from where we are? I think it is time to severe diplomatic ties with France and nationalize their assets in Nigeria. Nigeria doesn’t need France for anything. Do we think the European Union will help to keep France away? I doubt .

  • Igor

AT, December 6. / Correspondent. TASS Pervin Mamed-zade /. Detained in Nigeria does not belong to Russian aircraft, the crew also Russian. On this day TASS reported at the Russian Embassy in Nigeria.

    • Bart simpson

Write it again, but this time in English.

  • Ade

    Yet people will blame GEJ!

  • murty

Jona and madu sharif are friends of the chadian president, so we will still blame GEJ for been friends with our enemy.
