Nigeria’s President Buhari declares total support for Palestinian State

Buhari in France

President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his total support for a two-state solution to the Israel- Palestine conflict.

The Nigerian President stated this during a meeting on Sunday with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hammad Al-Thani, his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said.

“I want to assure you that we will stand side by side with you, until our brothers and sisters in Palestine achieve their desired objectives,” he said.

“Our support for various Security Council resolutions restoring and respecting 1967 boundaries with Jerusalem as capital of Palestine is firm and unshaken.”

Mr. Buhari’s stance on the Israeli-Palestine conflict is similar with that of most countries of the world including the European Union, and Qatar is believed to be one of the major backers of Palestine including backing Hamas which governs Gaza. However Israel and the United States have repeatedly blocked any United Nations resolution mandating a two-state solution. The non-resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and lack of progress in resolving it is considered the greatest foreign policy failure of President Barack Obama of the U.S.

At the meeting in Qatar, the Nigerian President also declared as “totally unacceptable,” the huge drop in the price of crude which has seen international oil prices plummet from over $100 a barrel last year to about $30.

Read Mr. Adesina’s full statement below:

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday in Doha emphasised the need for member states of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, and non-OPEC members to cooperate and find a common ground to stabilise crude oil prices.

Speaking at a bilateral meeting with the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hammad Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, President Buhari described the current market situation in the industry, which has seen oil prices plummet by 70 per cent since mid-2014, as “totally unacceptable.”

“As members of OPEC and Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), our relations in the areas of oil and gas, which our two nations heavily rely on, need to be enhanced and coordinated for the benefit of our people.

“The current market situation in the oil industry is unsustainable and totally unacceptable.

“We must cooperate both within and outside our respective organisations to find a common ground to stabilize the market, which will be beneficial to our nations,’’ the President said on the second day of his state visit to Qatar.

The President used the occasion of his address to the Emir to commend the existing cordial bilateral relations between both countries and invited prospective Qatari investors to take advantage of the abundant opportunities in Nigeria and invest in the key areas of energy, agriculture, real estate development, banking and finance.

He assured prospective investors of government protection of their persons and investment, noting that in the course of his visit, the delegations from Nigeria and Qatar would formalise at least two bilateral agreements to boost economic cooperation between both countries.

President Buhari also weighed-in on the situation in the Middle East, commending the role Qatar is playing in resolving the present Syrian crisis, the Palestinian cause and efforts in reconstructing Gaza.

“The conflicts in Yemen and Syria with their attendant humanitarian crisis need genuine international effort to solve. Nigeria as a peace loving country identifies with the State of Qatar in all her peace efforts in the world to end terrorist activities.

“Nigeria is a victim of terrorism. It is with heavy heart that I stand before you and say activities of Boko Haram have led to loss of many lives and displacement of innocent people in our dear nation.

“We, however, take pride to inform you that since our coming to power, Boko Haram has been systematically decimated and are in no position to cause serious threat to our development programs.

“I wish to reiterate that Nigeria rejects violence and extremism in all their ramifications, and assure your Highness that we are with the State of Qatar in your efforts to fight terrorism and injustice in your region and in the world at large.”

President Buhari also called for a lasting solution to the Israeli – Palestinian conflict , saying “we in Nigeria, like the State of Qatar, favour a ‘Two State’ solution, with the State of Palestine living side by side with the State of Israel.

“I want to assure you that we will stand side by side with you, until our brothers and sisters in Palestine achieve their desired objectives.

“Our support for various Security Council resolutions restoring and respecting 1967 boundaries with Jerusalem as capital of Palestine is firm and unshaken,’’ he said.

  • RestructureNigeria

NIGERIANS MUST DEMAND THAT NIGERIA RESTRUCTURE ACCORDING TO THE 2014 POLITICAL CONFERENCE OR 6 REGIONS.

NIGERIANS MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER WHAT PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD KNOW:

As long the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. Although there WILL be Islamic attacks..

    United States — Muslim 0.6%

    Australia — Muslim 1.5%

    Canada — Muslim 1.9%

    China — Muslim 1.8%

    Italy — Muslim 1.5%

    Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. There will be MORE attacks at this level

    This is happening in:

    Denmark — Muslim 2%

    Germany — Muslim 3.7%

    United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%

    Spain — Muslim 4%

    Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. There will now be a level of fear from the natural population towards muslims This is occurring in:

    France — Muslim 8%

    Philippines — 5%

    Sweden — Muslim 5%

    Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%

    The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%

    Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in: Almost DAILY attacks in this range

    Guyana — Muslim 10%

    India — Muslim 13.4%

    Israel — Muslim 16%

    Kenya — Muslim 10%

    Russia — Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

    Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

    Bosnia — Muslim 40%

    NIGERIA– Muslim 42.8%

    Chad — Muslim 53.1%

    Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and ***ya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

    Albania — Muslim 70%

    Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%

    Qatar — Muslim 77.5%

    Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in:

    Bangladesh — Muslim 83%

    Egypt — Muslim 90%

    Gaza — Muslim 98.7%

    Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%

    Iran — Muslim 98%

    Iraq — Muslim 97%

    Jordan — Muslim 92%

    Morocco — Muslim 98.7%

    Pakistan — Muslim 97%

    Palestine — Muslim 99%

    Syria — Muslim 90%

    Tajikistan — Muslim 90%

    Turkey — Muslim 99.8%

United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasas are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

    Afghanistan — Muslim 100%

    Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%

    Somalia — Muslim 100%

    Yemen — Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons. Then you have BOKO HARAM, ISIS…Islam with a hall pass!!!

    • Daniel

      Wrong assumptions.

      • Kickboxer

Mr. Catholic….where did I advocate for secession or you need to go for confession for lying on a Sunday?

    • amazing2012

      Yes

Concerning Muslims in conflict with other faiths, is simply because we have two religions in the world, Islam and pagans. And you are blind to see.
if the whole world regard Islam not peaceful religion then it means all the religion of the world are peaceful.
Interestingly, it stand that all the religions of our world are the same or share the same ideology. This mean if I need peace And salvation I can get from God of Hindus, Shintois, Bhudist not necessarily in Christianity. They are simply one religion with different name.
Only truth stand out which always stand as ONE not many. You can’t have many truth ! Islam (truth) vs all the religions (false) of the world.
For instance what is Christianity doing in unity with pagans against when in their bible states
? If Christianity is the true religion then it will stand alone as Jesus did ”
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: (Hindus, Shintois, Buddhists, ) for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? -2 Corinthians” 6:14
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?(Hindus, Shintois, Buddhists, ) He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. -1 John 2:22
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. -2 John 1:7 ”
Give point please or stop confirming ignorance!

      • Chukwuka Okoroafor

But this is your personal opinion I hope you know.

      • RestructureNigeria

Only Boko Haram and mumu Nigerians like you believe that there are two religions…

  • Rommel

There is no shift from the position of Nigeria under president Jonathan so this is no news

    • Otile

President Jonathan never gave away our oil money to Hezbollah and Hamas, so what shift of position are you talking about? It is shameful that this illiterate man will go to the Arab world to make satanic alliances with murderous Mohammedans there only to come back to preach al Taqiyya. Shame on the terrorists and their sympathizers.

  • Otile

Mohamed Buhari is a hopeless islamist. He supports terrorist Palestinians but hates peaceful Biafrans simply because the Philistines are Moslems but Biafrans are Christians. Buhari should not be allowed to give away our oil money to the terrorists. It is ironic that Mohamed Buhari has pledged unflinching support for terrorist Hamas and Hezbollah all trying to hurt Israelis.

    • Daniel

Is the European Union also an Islamic block? The pragmatic thing to do is the two-state solution not sentimental pursuits.

We need peace in the Middle East

Am I even sure you read the article fully before delivering your verdict?

    • amazing2012

Cursed English slave: you see the level of your understanding of global politics.
Biafrans are not caged, killed and destroyed everyday. Rather they are hopeless people looking for war. Even the European Union are supporting the freedom of innocent soul killed everyday. Remind you that Zionism is not Christianity and among the Palestinians are also Christians suffering the same humiliation at the hand of the Zionists.
Biafrans are hopeless people who never want peace in their lives. Because if they really want their Biafraud, no body stop them from parking to their cursed land, the road is free. And “WE” will be most grateful if the cancer (igbos) are removed from NIgeria. Igbos always look for deaths as the only way to be emancipated.
For instance: other Nigerians are emancipated from igbos because very few hopeless citizens of Nigeria are staying in Igbo land. A survey made in 2015, revealed that in all the markets in Igbo land with over 250,000 shops no single shop is rented or sold to non Igbo race. The igbos believed it is success to barred the people they regards as foreigners from their territory but in real sense it is a total emancipation of other innocent tribes from the land of the wicked race, who may one day killed them and take over their properties.
Igbos are cursed and never want peace everywhere they are and On whatever decision they made. Their collective decision is guided by greed, hate, pride and vengeance on innocents soul.
They are safist who never mind to suffer if others will suffer:
For instance: Igbos has over 30 million people out of Igbo land and trillions of Naira businesses. If Igbos will be ask to leave peacefully, where will you accommodate 30 million exodus of people ?
Who is going to buy their properties ?
Do you prepare the deaths of 30 million people ? And lost of trillion assets ? And collapse of their businesses ? How do you comprehend these ?
I advised Igbos willing actualization of their Biafra to start moving slowly and quietly to their cursed land. Sell your properties and move. The road is free, no one will stop them. But it is heartless and evil plan on Igbos by Igbos to think of moving 30 million people during crises, in a country where people killed themselves because of ethnic differences.
Do you need president support to park and go ?

      • Darlington

While all this hate against Igbos, the Jews of Africa? You’re comment is a venom filled and hate driven one. You’re hate personified. No Igbo person has ever stopped non Igbos from owning properties or shops in Igbo land. They don’t travel as much as Igbos do. Igbos are adventurous in nature. Biafra agitation may be propelled by Igbos but not strictly Igbo agenda. Asari Dokubo said recently that Biafra is more Ijaw than Igbo. It’s hypocritical on the part of Buhari that he supports Palestinian State, while killing peaceful unarmed Biafrans protesters agitating for release of Nnamadi Kanu. My brother, you have shown so much hatred for a blessed tribe. Why can’t you allow them have their freedom? You’re article was inspired by jealousy and envy you have for Igbos.

        • amazing2012

Aha my brother no body hate igbos and no body denies igbos from having their country.
On owning shops in Igbo land, is not an issue of people don’t travel to Igbo land but simply igbos hate strangers while they are accepted all over Nigeria.
On Nnamdi Kanu please have watched the Video he is saying they have weapons and will soon destroy Nigeria ? Please this statement to Israel or any other country and see if they will leave you. Igbos are so biased that even Rev. King that was sentence to dearth for burning to death a church member, some igbos come out to say he should not be killed ! Assume is another tribe, will the same igbos come on to talk ?
Blessed tribe ? By who ? God ? Ok show us where God say other tribes are not blessed ? The best among us in the side of God is the one is faithful not color, tribe or race but work. How are igbos blessed ? With robbery and drugs ? Killed and jailed all over the world for crime ?

          • Darlington

You have not lived in Igbo land, how did you get this biased information that Igbos hate strangers? If Nigeria is still one country as we speak, what is so special about accepting Igbos in their own country? On Nnamdi Kanu video, how many Northerners were arrested when they threatened to make Nigeria ungovernable under GEJ? DSS did not find any arm on Nnamdi Kanu when he was arrested in Lagos. On Rev King, the few unscrupulous elements that called for his release does not represent the opinion of all Igbos. It is very unkind on your part to use actions of few bad elements to pass judgement on the entire tribe because Igbos were amongst Rev King’s victims. On being blessed tribe, no other tribe would have survived inhuman atrocities suffered by Igbos during the war, and still bounce back prosperously in less than a decade; with only 20 pounds given to them after the war. Igbos are the only people making it big in Nigeria without any iota of government support. If you remove from Igbo factor from Lagos economy today, Lagos economy will collapse. The ingenuity of Igbos can be seen in all the strata of Nigeria; from Business to technology to sports to academics, politics, etc. Pls let’s stop all this hate speeches, it will not help us. Even if Biafra comes today, we will still need to be friendly neighbours under ECOWAS treaty. On the issue of one Nigeria, Igbos have demonstrated their believe in oneness of this country more than any other tribe, by investing and marring from every tribe in Nigeria, even in the face of unjustifiable envy, jealousy and conspiracy. My brother, let’s eschew bitterness and hatred. With love, we can conquer our differences and build a nation our children will be proud of.

          • amazing2012

Tell me the number of strangers that are in Igbo land and why the absence of such people in Igbo markets. What do you translate to be ?
If dumbed failed to arrest and proscute those that made similar statement with Nnamdi does this justify his action as legal?
On king’s issue your answer confirm what I keep saying that igbos are cursed but you use the word “unscrupulous”. Again blessed does not murdered blessed.
On envy, I think it is igbos that are envy with others progress, that is why they refused anybody to own a single shop out of the thousands shops in their markets.
If you remove the criminality of igbos, the country will have peace and fake products will reduce to zero. While drugs peeling will be totally absence.

          • Darlington

You have gone beyond redemption! Hatred has eaten deep into you. How many Northerners do you know that owns shops in Ogbette markets in Onitsha and Enugu; selling tomatoes, yam, etc? What’s actually wrong with you? Why this kind of hatred for your fellow Nigerians? Pls allow Biafra be if don’t want Igbos again.

          • amazing2012

Yes only six shops selling tomatoes and yam in the market that you made reference are on high rent price to them not solely own by the northers. But go to LAGOS, Kano and other states to see how igbos are sold properties.
On Biafraud, did anybody stop you on the road ? Pack and go now !

          • James Bond

I agree with you. The Igbos have certainly tried to have come back today after the destruction of the civil war in 1970. As a Yoruba person, I personally don’t have any qualms with a sovereign state of Biafra. The only thing I would say is that it shouldn’t be pursed through another civil war. If it can only be done peacefully, then Biafra should arise. At least that way, the Igbos will stop harbouring hatred they have for the Yorubas as a result of the civil war.

          • Otile

Who are the ones pushing for genocide/war in Nigeria? Not Igbo, and you know who. Asking to be left alone does not mean declaring war on anybody. It is unbelievable to see Yorubas feel so much threatened at the mention of Biafra. When the Northerners were oppressing Yorubas, you people were preparing to separate forming your Oduduwa Republic, never did Igbo threaten to fight you if you leave. Don’t you see that something is terribly wrong that one tribe will like to leave peacefully then others would like to exterminate them? This same thing happened in Sudan, East Timor, Eritrea. What do oppressors gain by trying to kill off people trying to free themselves from cruelty?

          • James Bond

You still don’t get my point. It is good for you to have your Biafra. I don’t oppose that. As a matter of fact, I support your aspiration to have a sovereign state of Biafra for the Igbos. It will facilitate a lot of healing for the Igbos so I support Biafra.

          • Otile

So, what is your point that I am not getting? Is there any day that passes that Yorubas do not threaten hell fire or curse Biafra? Do you support people by cursing them for their aspiration for self-determination? Is there any bad name on earth Yorubas have not called Igbo for trying to break away? Is Buhari ever going to allow Igbo go away peacefully? Be honest.

          • Hans Oreva

I really wish Biafra comes to fruition; but on the issue of being friendly! who sai!! all Igbos will leave Nigeria on the day your independence is announced by fire by force…after which we want nothing to do with serial trouble makers… btw i lived in Enugu for a year and only a year i promise myself never to return ever besides I concur that most Igbos do not like Strangers; once you don’t speak the language, you are a goner, they will fleece you die. but come to warri and see as we accept and welcome them, if you nor speak urhobo, itsekiri or izon pple still accept u as far as you speak pidgin.

Wow… I didn’t know Nigeria is a Muslim country. That explains everything.

    • Jika

So there are no Christians in Palestine?Do you know who are the inhabitants of Bethlehem?Do you know where the Church of Nativity is? Are the Palestinian Christians not as oppressed as the Palestinian Muslims by the State of Israel? When the United Nations and the European Union took the same position on the two state solution, does that make them Muslim Organisations or Union as the case may be?When the late Nelson Mandela and indeed the state of South Africa took the same position as that of Buhari, did it make them Muslims as well?

      • TrueNja

Palestinian Christians are less than 3% of the population. Their numbers dwindling every year due to Muslim Palestinians persecution. it is a known fact, Jewish state is friendlier to Palestinian Christians than Qatar and Saudi Arabia sponsored Palestinian state.

        • Burbank

Just like Nigeria is friendlier to biafra.

          • Otile

            You don’t make any sense.

we are very very friendly to Biafra although more could be done; we can adopt Israel method and just bomb all 5 Igbo states at will…. that would probably express our friendliness properly, at this rate, we are not friendly enough….

        • Onike24

There numbers dwindle because Palestian is a hopeless place, the harmony between Christians and Muslims in bathe the West Bank and Gaza is a beauty to behold, the church of the nativity is full on Christmas Eve of both Christians and Muslims worshipping together.

            Dokubo Asari the Mohammedan terrorist.

      • Anonymous

Ignoramus, people like you are the reason Nigeria is in a precarious state. You my friend will not be productive in a civilized society. Learn to be polite in your conversation you great lummox.

  • Mafar_Ka

For a news item on Oil prices, Premium Times created a headline that stirs emotions for obvious reasons. Yes we got the gist, the main point of PMB’s visit is about the Palestinian state. Pathetic!

  • Daniel

They cannot fight endlessly. The two-state solution is the way forward.

    • CHIBABA

Two state solution is impossible because Palestine doesn’t want that. They have rejected many peace talks, all they know is terrorism, indoctrinating their kids with hate. they’ll start wars with Israel, use civilians as human shield and expect people to believe their Pallywood theatrics which they spread over the Internet.

      • Daniel

I think the status of Jerusalem is the thorny issue that needs to be resolved.

        • Otile

Moslem Arabs got their religious capital in Mecca, what else are they looking for in Jerusalem?

          • Daniel

Your argument is simplistic. Go back to history.

          • Otile

You are the real simpleton who should go back to history. You are the one who does not know that the Jewish Temple was in Jerusalem many centuries before Mohamed was born. They did not tell you that the Moslems entered into Jerusalem by conquest after the Jewish exiles. In actual sense the Mohammedans have no genuine claim to Jerusalem for they are later comers to the Holy Land. Mohamed’s thieving hordes cannot loot their way in the middle ages into Jerusalem killing off Jews who had been there for centuries and claim the place for themselves. At first Mohamed confined his pillage to Saudi Arabia but later his thieving followers laid claim to the Holy land. What a bunch thieves!

It is akin to marauding Fulania looting their way from Futa Jallons into Nigeria today the marauders imposed themselves here and are trying to wipe out Igbo natives, and you are telling me that they own Nigeria and are right in subjugating everybody else. Is this not a good history lesson for you? Is there any misrepresentation in this?

          • Daniel

Your argument is simplistic because no group of people emerged and remained at a particular place at a time. Else those who populate the United States today should go back to their respective continents for the Red Indians to remain there.

The flurry of human activities has given rise to migration fostering inter-group relations. Israel cannot continue to romanticize with their past. It is only good realpolitik that both sides agree on an amicable solution.

That geo-political entity is populated by human beings, thus it unreasonale and unrealistic to continue to defend the impossible.

And please I have a first degree in history. You are not qualified to tutor me on the history on Nigeria.

          • Otile

You got your degree in African History and nothing else. African history is faulty full of myths and mythologies. You cannot go to war on the basis of those falsities. For example our Odua brothers believe their primogenitor Oduduwa fell from the sky into Egbaland. Do you believe it? Can you fight the Bini people on the basis of that fairy tale?

Make peace with your neighbors, don’t invade your nearest neighbor on the basis of African history, it is mostly fable.

          • Daniel

If you studied history as a course, you would know it does not confine you to African history. Except you are one of the handout graduates…Engage yourself in historiography and learn more about the evolution of society.

I will not engage in any intellectual banter with you. This post is a clear confirmation that you feel too eager to unleash your intellectual shallowness on fellow discussants.

    Editor Premium Times,

Is this BUHARI’s worst diplomatic blunder; or, what?

On what basis did President Buhari declare Jerusalem as the capital
of a Palestinian state side by side with the State of Israel that was approved
and admitted into the United Nations? Buhari may just have blundered badly here!

He cannot find any support in U.N Resolution 181 for his statement.
Nowhere in the Mandate Laws of Palestine under the League of Nations or in resolutions
reached on recommendations from the United Nations Special Commission on Palestine
(UNSCOP) was a resolution passed declaring Jerusalem the capital of Palestinian state.

President Buhari’s apparent blunder could have lasting effect. In the context of the pre-1967
status that Buhari invoked, East Jerusalem was an occupied territory – just as West Jerusalem.
To now approve a two-state resolution along the line of the Oslo Accords, as Buhari said he wants,
means he’s contradictorily strayed out of the limits by demanding that Israel revert to pre-1947 position
and relinquish all of West Jerusalem too.

Nigeria may have gone rogue as the only country
on earth making this fresh demand on Israel, to forthwith get out of West Jerusalem. For the rest of the
world, the position is that a Palestinian state will exist side by side whilst Jerusalem will either be agreed
as an international city, or subject to Permanent Settlement talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

When Fayose said that Buhari is trying to Islamise Nigeria, people thought he was joking, has all his actions not suggesting same.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS BUHARI FOR GOD’S SAKE? CAN HE NOT DO ANYTHING RIGHT?

I JUST CAME BACK FROM FOUR HOURS OF WARFARE AT PETROL STATION IN LAGOS TODAY.

    • George

Just yesterday Fayose warned us about this good for nothing president turning Nigerians as a sisters and brothers to Palestinian people which is not and some uncircumcised follows abused Fayose for seeing things ahead of all of us and today that abandoned Femi Adesina came out to confirm what prophet Fayose saw coming.

  • idris

Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian State? I am satisfied and settled in my mind that this will NEVER happen. Period!

    • Ashibogu

It is the Lord that has chosen Jerusalem.

    • New Nigerian

Jerusalem was the Capital of Palestine when Jesus Christ walked on earth, and will continue to be till the end of this world. Bethlehem will be free! and Christian Palestinians in Bethlehem (as well as all Muslims in Palestine) would freely go to Jerusalem as they like and no longer subjected to having to pass through De-humanizing apartheid check points

      • Chukwuka Okoroafor

Palestine was never a country but a region and Israel has been used in the Bible numerous times.

      • TrueNja

Modern day Palestinians are 98% Muslims, therefore Jerusalem can never become Muslim city.

      • idris

New whatever, kindly find the time to educate yourself and free your mind. There was nothing like ‘Palestine’ until 135AD when Emperor Hadrian, by way of a punitive measure to erase the memory of a people, renamed Judea as Palestina and Jerusalem, its capital, Aelia Capitolina; this, on account of the heavy casualties suffered by the Roman army at the Bar Kokhba revolt of the Jews. By which time, I expect you should know, that Christ had concluded his earthly ministry, long before the advent of Mohammed. It may further help you to know that the territory did not come under Muslim control until 500 years later in 638AD when it was conquered by the Omayyad Caliph, Umar I. But I’m not surprised by your re-constructionist narrative, it has since been noted as the modus operandi of the Muslim world, to burn, destroy, obliterate or distort history (see the Taliban in Afghanistan and the mindless orgy of the ISIS in the Levant), as history does not validate the Muslim cause. Yet, needless death, turmoil and destruction have been wrought all in pursuit of the validation of a lie.

    • Say the truth

Dream on oh dreamer. Keep dreaming and hallucinating. That will only happen over your dead body. I can bet that you will never see a day like that. Till the messiah returns nobody can make Jerusalem capital of Palestine.

  • Patrick A

Apartheid and hostile discriminatory practices of the Jews compel the need for a two state solution and a return of Land captured and stolen as well as the illegal settlements. Besides the war crimes and experimental killings and murder of the Palestinians must stop…or the Palestinians must be given arms to protect themselves

    • Ashibogu

St. Patrick, Hamas is already armed. What has been the fruit of their arms! Israel can never be destroyed. He that keeps Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers.

      • Patrick A

        OK sir

    • Otile

Answer your real name, Ahmad Abubakar. You are no Christian by any means. This is why I hate taqiyya.

      • Sparzo

Actually close to 50% of Israelis would agree to what he is saying,
A large % age of Jews in Israel are not zionists,
        Neither are the Palestinian Israelis.
Oh, you did not know there are Israeli Palestinians? They suffer too.

        • Otile

Tell Buhari not to dabble into what he knows nothing about. He has his work cut out for him in Nigeria. The Palestinian question is above his pay grade. Fools_are usually hard hearing.

  • Ashibogu

As for the Jews, though they be enemies of the Gospel; nevertheless, they are the beloved of the Holy Father for sake of His Convenant with the fathers. He is the one who has chosen Jerusalem. This was why Angel Michael disputing with Satan about the body of Moses rebuked him in the name of God who has chosen Jerusalem. This was clearly recorded in the book of Jude. There is a heavenly Jerusalem and an earthly one which is in the the State of Israel. Therefore, someone should tell PMB not to be emotional like late President Abdul Naser of Egypt. The Torah which is the foundation of Islam clearly contains most of the truth about Jerusalem. Let the wise hear so that he can become wiser. Spiritual things are not subject to political considerations.

    • Sparzo

Is that why the Jewish religious settlers burn down Churches, christian homes and schools on occupied Jerusalem?

  • Ashibogu

    Please read Zechariah 3:2

  • New Nigerian

I read the posts below with amusement..No Nigerian Christian who understand the facts on ground in Palestine, would on the basis of standing up for their Christian brothers in Palestine, have anything but applause for what President Buhari said.

    • Otile

With the combined evils of Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist Palestinian state is doomed to fail.

          • Sparzo

            Here goes.
Hezbollah are lebanese as from Lebanon.
Hamas are Palestinian who won the gaza democratic mandate,

          • Otile

Are you saying that Hezbollah are not hip tied to Hamas? You don’t know anything about the so the Arab terrorists.

          • Sparzo

Listen bright spark, I am saying here that Hizbollah are Lebanese in Lebanon.
A bit of O level history or geography does help.

Stop cranking that empty box you call a brain. It confuses you.

          • Otile

Nobody is saying that Hezbollah are not in Lebanon. Remember that Islamic terrorism knows no boundaries. Is Al Shabab not in Somalia, are they not helping Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria? Broaden you mind, Musulimi.

          • Sparzo

Yes yes Otile. Al shabab like Boko Haram are Islamic terrorists.
They are not Palestinians neither is Hezbollah.

There are Palestinian Churches, Christian schools and homes being burnt down by Jewish settlers.
They call this evil Taxing. Palestinian Christians suffer as much as Palestinian Muslims under the occupation by the Jewish State. See Hebron.

          • Otile

I know you will defend Hamas and Hezbollah with your blood. The issue here is not about Christian churches and schools burnt in Palestine. Christian churches and schools are also burnt down here in Nigeria. You know the people doing the burning, don’t you? The real issue is Buhari declaring his total support for the Palestinian terrorists. You want to give the impression that most Palestinians are Christians, no sir, they are mostly moslems, and true to type they are throwing Katusha rockets into Israel killing Jews and Christians wherever they see them. Stop defending terrorism. You like Imam Buhari will die defending Islam whether in Palestine, Arewa, Somalia or Afghanistan. Nobody can stop you.

          • Sparzo

The people burning the Christian Churches and schools ar Jewish rightwing religious settlers. About a million of them now on Palestinian land in the west bank and Gaza.
Try CNN or even the Jerusalem Post. As right wing Jewish as it gets for a paper or even the New York Times. Haaretz might just be too highbrow for you. Try reading about the world outside good old Biafra.
To you and any other dense swivel eyed loonie like Nethanyahu and his equally mad religious cabinet, Palestinians are terrorist because they are mostly Muslims.
Yes katusha rockets as against nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.
An army, navy and airforce that will beat UK and France with one hand tied behind it?.
            And the Mossad?

You are too dense to even understand what an atheist is?

          • Otile

As a typical Yoruba you can never have a decent argument with anybody. You will always preface and conclude with insults and dumb assumptions. How do you jump to conclusions that others are too dense to understand what an atheist is? Don’t be close-minded, fella.

Jewish people don’t burn down schools and churches, moslem terrorists do. From Afghanistan, Palestine, Somalia, to Northern Nigeria schools and churches are constantly attacked. In Nigeria itself the moslems are fighting a vicious war whose contention is that Western education is forbidden, and you know it. The Jewish people love knowledge and cannot go about burning down schools, be honest. Still the point is that Buhari should stop giving full support to Islamic terrorism anywhere in the world. Admit this and move on, Muslulimi.

  • Chukwuka Okoroafor

Buhari just keeps fubbing on foreign policy. Now, I have no issue with Palestine being an independent state personally, however if anything, there is an analogy between the Six Day War and the Civil War we had. Jerusalem was taken by force by the Israeli military in a defensive war which many (including myself) would call a divine war considering how fast it was. Nigeria retook Biafra by force starting in 1967 at a horrific cost to us in Igboland. Despite all of that, there are many (even in Igboland if you can believe it) that saw the final result as divinely inspired. Nigeria rocked from one crisis to another that would have done other nations in, but Nigeria withstood them all. This certainly has inspired this belief of a divine hand holding our country together. Now, we have agitations for Biafra again. Buhari has defended the unity of Nigeria which I support wholeheartedly, but now he seeks to help the Arab World to divide Jerusalem. This is something the Israelis got by force and in international law, what you get by force is yours. We have a country that is aligning with the Islamic World ever so closely and an elite that aspires to make Nigeria the new Saudi Arabia in every way you can possibly imagine. We will see worse in Nigeria from this point forward, I am confident in that. Buhari will lose the moral high ground on his position on Nigeria’s unity if he is to continue like this.

    • TrueNja

I totally agree with u. God bless u my brother

      • Prophet

the six day war was won with American weapons, intelligence and covert operations.

    • Hans Oreva

“in international law, what you get by force is yours” its one thing to talk out of your ass its another to back it up…please tell me which international law states that??? and then again Jerusalem was not taken by force, a wall was built to around jerusalem so divide palestinians from palestinians but its was never taken…it was intended to be split and east jerusalem would serve as the capital of palestine(one indivisible city being a capital to 2 states)… Jonathan had the power to give palestine their own state at the un council in 2014 but he chose to abstain from voting because of a deal he presumably made with the US thereby preventing them from vetoing the votes; the US cannot publicly deny palestine the right to their own state but as long as buffer countries like nigeria does their bidding, it becomes possible for the US to play ostrich.. thank God we have a good leader who is not absolutely morally bankrupt

      • Chukwuka Okoroafor

Jerusalem was obviously taken at the end of the Six Day War. What do you think pre-1967 boundaries mean? The Palestinians there were never uprooted, but Israel won control of the city. The U.S. won control of its present Southwest from Mexico in the 1830s. Did any international body demand that the Southwest be returned to Mexico? What about the colonies in Africa, most were taken by force by the European powers. What international body made them give up their possessions? Why is it now that the world is trying to make Israel give up its possession? Think before you write. Thanks.

        • Hans Oreva

whyy nahh? Jerusalem taken in 6day war? prior to 6day war palestines and jews lived in jerusalem at the end palestine and jews still lived in jerusalem; in 1830’s there was no intl body and texan fought for self determination; it wasn’t the US army or should i say the union army since at that time most of the U.S states were independent city states…. please read up on how the U.S came to be and stop being ignorant…. hmm the UN made it possible for african countries to get self determination but i dont expect you to know this, if you believe that the texans war with Gen. Santa anna was fought by the union army rather than the free peoples of texas…. theres is a show called “son of liberty” please go find it; it details the struggle for Texas self determination and including the incident at the Alamo.

          • Chukwuka Okoroafor

There were thirteen colonies originally and they were all in the East. I am an American as well as a Nigerian so I know the history of the U.S. a bit better than you. Texas was independent, but I was talking about modern day New Mexico and Arizona. They were part of Mexico before being annexed by the U.S. East Jerusalem before the war was administered by Jordan. There was no Palestinian state at the time.

          • Hans Oreva

part of new mexico was administered by texas and when it fought for self determination it took northern new mexico with it…i think you have the US history all mixed up… and im so sorry to tell you that i know the American history eyes closed…. it was a special subject in my history classes in my HS in Canada we called it North american history it also includes the history of the native americans too…. the region that is palestine includes jordan at one point in time, jordan has its own monarch so does palestine…palestine was led by the grand mufti till the british hounded him for negotiating with germany

          • Chukwuka Okoroafor

There was Arizona and California as well. Those were not part of Texas but of Mexico that the U.S. took by force. I think you forgot that detail. I was wrong about the time frame of the war which was 1846-47 rather than the 1830s.

          • Hans Oreva

ok before we get lost in pointless arguments whether its 1830,40,90; there were no intl body to regulate territorial sovereignty prior to 1914,so any arguments involving the southwestern states being once part of mexico does not hold water besides there is a difference between military occupation(israeli presence in palestine) and full out secession. palestines from gaza and the west bank did not ask israeli to occupy their lands and they remaining there is an act of bullying.

          • Chukwuka Okoroafor

But Israel conquered the Sinai Peninsula but chose to give it back to Egypt in a peace agreement. Did they exercise their right with their possession? The UN was founded to govern the conduct among nations, not within nations. So Jerusalem is part of Israel under Israeli law. The UN taking it from them would be a foreign body governing in the affairs of a sovereign state and that starts to look like world government. That would be outside the bounds of the UN.

          • Hans Oreva

my guy you said “The UN was founded to govern the conduct among nations, not within nations”. going by this statement you are proposing that palestine and israel are one country which is totally wrong; but lets assume you are right, so you are in effect saying that Israel built a wall to separate one part of their own country from the other part this makes no sense whatsoever because normally boundaries like separating wall(example is the us-mexico wall) are between countries…. like i earlier said Israel has a right to parts of jerusalem so also do palestine but what we have is a stronger country bullying the weaker one of their territory. Israel arguments is that giving back the territory to palestine at this stage would amount to a national risk but also not giving it back breeds terrorism because when the weaker cant fight back conventionally it seeks unconventional methods of getting rid of the invaders and rightly so.

          • Chukwuka Okoroafor

I was not referring to the West Bank as this territory was never incorporated into Israel. Only Jerusalem was. Don’t forget that Buhari said that Israel has no right to any part of Jerusalem.

          • Hans Oreva

My brother I think you do not really understand what is happening between Palestine and israel; the west bank is occupied by Israeli army so are many other towns and cities in Palestine territory….. Buhari did not ask Israel to give up Jerusalem, no country in the world is asking them to, we are only asking them to respect the map the assented to in the beginning and share Jerusalem; one city acting as a capital to 2 states

          • Chukwuka Okoroafor

“Our support for various [U.N.] Security Council resolutions restoring and respecting 1967 boundaries with Jerusalem as capital of Palestine is firm and unshaken,” This was the words of Buhari in Doha on Saturday. I did not see East Jerusalem in there. We have to conclude that he was speaking of the whole city. No country or leader in the world is asking Israel to give up the entire city except for Buhari.

ISIS, Al Quada, Hamas, Boko Haram, Al Shaibab etc.. According to the UN, Hamas is a terrorist organization but our president is sympathizing with a terrorist organization. Judaism and Christianity beget Islam and there is no way Jerusalem should be the capital of Palestine which is a Muslim country. “At the meeting in Qatar, the Nigerian President also declared as ‘totally unacceptable,’ the huge drop in the price of crude which has seen international oil prices plummet from over $100 a barrel last year to about $30.”

Totally unacceptable to who? Who cares what the illiterate, certificate forging terrorist, Bokohari thinks? In what demented universe does this terrorist live in?

    • Burbank

      That one in Otuoke.

      • Otile

The dullard from Daura is the one in question. Nobody is talking about: Turai, Obasanjo, Abusalami, Shonekan, Babangida, or Arna Gowon for that matter. Be honest.

        • Burbank

Did that dullard from Otuoke talked about Turai, Obasanjo, Abusalami, Shonekan, Babangida, or Arna Gowon, when he was president?

    • Nib

I tire for that elevated dullard!!!

    • Sparzo

Totally unacceptable to most of the nations ot the world and the united nations.
The jewish state of Israel is a pariah state,

  • Say the truth

Anyone or group who works against the covenant people of God will have the almighty to confront. The consequences may not be palatable from generation to generation. While it is okay for Buhari to support Palestinianians for all he cares it is also extremely dangerous to work against the interset of Israel. It is to look for trouble. He should be warned. Evil association and communication of Buhari is already corrupting his manners.

    • Prophet

listen to your brainwashed self. “the covenant people of God”?
You should be ashamed of yourself! Who created you and for what purpose?
If you can sit there and point to an external people calling them Gods chosen, what does that make you? God’s reject? What an ignorant buffoon.

      • Hans Oreva

don’t mind him,he calls himself a christian but forgets that Gods covenant with israel is null and void they cease to be his people and everyone from all nations of the earth now can be part of the israel of God by virtue of Jesus’s ransom sacrifice… sometimes i wonder if they are true christians(ofcos they are not just like their mentor Trump) or just charlatan hiding under religion to truly show their hatred of others… same jesus they somehow try to venerate said by this they will know you are mine, if you have love among yourselves.. you call yourself christian and have nothing but hate for any muslim regardless of creed, color or nationality… its totally disgusting!!

  • Burning Spear

The only way for the Pestinians to gain their freedom is via the African Union—which the Palestianians themselves have been doing all to aviod——OIC have not done a thing in aid of the Palestinain cause- They seem to be more interested in their Islamization policy of the Fulani North than working to free the Palestinains from the grip of the USA—————Already, the Arab countries from the Gulf Region and the Middle East are all working with the CIA that installed Buhari as president of Nigeria to frustrate the plans of the Palestinian People for a Homeland of their own-Side by side with Almighty Israel ofcourse. Besides, how can Buhari sincerely champion the cause of the Palestinians when he owes his allegiance to the USA that escorted him under arms to Aso Rock? The price of crude oil was never $100 when Jonathan left office–it was about 30 dollars———————–Besides we have been blessed enough by the awoooooooooooooooof oil revenue that we have been stealing from the people of the South south region—for over 60 years——So Nigeria should stop complaining—After demonizing Niger Deltans and stealing their oil revenue and oil blocks–for these number of years–They also fought and died in their thousands—during the Nigerian civil war –Fought to keep Nigeria one-And-not their oil wells-which the rogues from the Fulani North ati south West in Aso rock-now own and control.

  • RestructureNigeria

NIGERIANS MUST DEMAND THAT NIGERIA RESTRUCTURE ACCORDING TO THE 2014 POLITICAL CONFERENCE OR 6 REGIONS.

NIGERIANS MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER WHAT PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD KNOW:

As long the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. Although there WILL be Islamic attacks..

    United States — Muslim 0.6%

    Australia — Muslim 1.5%

    Canada — Muslim 1.9%

    China — Muslim 1.8%

    Italy — Muslim 1.5%

    Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. There will be MORE attacks at this level

    This is happening in:

    Denmark — Muslim 2%

    Germany — Muslim 3.7%

    United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%

    Spain — Muslim 4%

    Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. There will now be a level of fear from the natural population towards muslims This is occurring in:

    France — Muslim 8%

    Philippines — 5%

    Sweden — Muslim 5%

    Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%

    The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%

    Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in: Almost DAILY attacks in this range

    Guyana — Muslim 10%

    India — Muslim 13.4%

    Israel — Muslim 16%

    Kenya — Muslim 10%

    Russia — Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

    Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

    Bosnia — Muslim 40%

    NIGERIA– Muslim 42.8%

    Chad — Muslim 53.1%

    Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and ***ya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

    Albania — Muslim 70%

    Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%

    Qatar — Muslim 77.5%

    Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in:

    Bangladesh — Muslim 83%

    Egypt — Muslim 90%

    Gaza — Muslim 98.7%

    Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%

    Iran — Muslim 98%

    Iraq — Muslim 97%

    Jordan — Muslim 92%

    Morocco — Muslim 98.7%

    Pakistan — Muslim 97%

    Palestine — Muslim 99%

    Syria — Muslim 90%

    Tajikistan — Muslim 90%

    Turkey — Muslim 99.8%

United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasas are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

    Afghanistan — Muslim 100%

    Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%

    Somalia — Muslim 100%

    Yemen — Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons. Then you have BOKO HARAM, ISIS…Islam with a hall pass!!!

    • Prophet

“Nigeria MUST….Nigeria must!”….shut up and get out of here!!
      “Nigeria must………” otherwise what?

  • Say the truth

Who doubt the fact that Buhari is a fanatic now? He wants Jerusalem to be the capital of Palestine but the holy one of Israel will make sure that this evil will never stand.

    • Prophet

The only evil here is the person that misinformed you in the name of education.

  • Sir Vic

Buhari should avoid this troubled water. Even the most powerful nations are very cautious of their involvement. That small piece of land is actually one of the major reasons of the sharp divide in the world today. We have a lot of injustice back in Nigeria to deal with.

    • bandaki

      Yes

    • Prophet

There is no news in Buhari’s assertions! Every country in the world (including Nigeria) is and has been in support of the 2 state solution. Even Israel supports the two state solution….they just don’t want to withdraw to their previous positions border-wise.

  • Chukwuka Okoroafor

My correction from my earlier post. Buhari actually seeks to take Jerusalem from Israel and give it to the Arabs.

    • Otile

That will cost him his head. The Jewish people do not joke with their God given land or people. Fools trade where angels dread.

      • Sparzo

Yes, they assassinate everything and that does not agree with them even scientist
Did god give you biafra too in your god given ignorance,

  • Prophet

Where else on earth can a sane person stake such a claim as Israel is doing? that the land belongs to them because God gave it to them??
….besides, if God gave a rational person that type of gift, they’d promptly return it because It is too expensive and more of a curse than a blessing. God has nothing to do with the allocation of that wretched land!

    • Otile

You are a hater. The land is blessed not wretched as you claim. Go and see for yourself how the good industrious Israeli people have converted the desert to fertile land, Today Israel is exporting food to Europe. Look at the solid structures Israel erected on what you call wretched land.

What has Buhari done with all the handouts he got from Europe and America? Jewish people are not beggars, go to Northern Nigeria and see human catastrophe which is man made, see how North on North violence has reduced them to misery. What are you Northern Muslims proud of? Yeah, our man is the president he can punish Ndigbo to make us pround, then what else?

      • Sparzo

That Israel is a fascist state, with an extreme right wing religious government.
based on the brutal occupation of the Palestinians and their is not hatred.
        It is based on facts,
The state of Israel would not be found on any ancient or modern map until 1947.
You will find Palestine on all ancient and modern maps.
Now place the map of Israel today on that of 1947 and you would see the extent to which the Palestinians
have had their taken by European, American and Russian Jews who are now the citizen of Israel.
The brutalityof this occupation is unparalleled since the Nazism with laws and policie like collective punishment and demolitions not too dissimilar.

They would probably be beggars without the military and financial aid and subsidies from America and its taxpayers
At least, the right wing murderous religious settlers on Palestinian lands would be beggars..

        • amazing2012

          • Otile

You are always amusing and entertaining. Here him …please reserve your knowledge. What is his knowledge? You call hatred of the Jewish people knowledge. Allah forgive you for you know not what you are doing.

    • amazing2012

Exactly, prophet them if now I go to Otile’s father’s land and claiming it using history book will he agree ? Again when God say belong to hem did he ever mention they should not live with anyone ? Or hey should have neighbors ? Whereas they lived every where in the world in places literally not giving to them by God without any issue.

  • Prophet

Judaism is from Hammurabi, which then gave birth to Christianity and Islam (which are both the same religion albeit in different languages).
Christianity owes its continued existence to The Roman Emperor Constantine who (and later Theodosius), in a bid to usurp the devotion of early.Christians (folks that gladly allow themselves to be burnt at the stake rather than betray their religion), Constantine adopted the religion and spread it through the Roman empire. Hence the Roman Catholic church.

He did this by sending his mother, Helena (Now Saint Helena) to the “Holy land” to claim what he felt gave him authority over the religions growing members (remnants of the cross of Jesus).

It is prudent to mention here that despite his authority over the religion, Constantine only converted to Christianity at his death bed.
We all know Jesus was never a christian.

    • Otile

What is your point? To attack Jesus?

      • Hans Oreva

Jesus is not religion! religion is a tool of oppression! infact Jesus was a Jew and he promised a lighter load than what organised jewish religion of his day offered therefore Jesus could care less about the Christianity of today or any other organized religion(incl. his own Judaism) for that matter…

        • Otile

By saying that “Jesus is not religion! religion is a tool of oppression! infact Jesus was a Jew…” you are stating the obvious. But that is not what the article is about. The article is about Buhari declaring total support for the Palestinian terrorists. Do you have anything to contribute about that?

          • Hans Oreva

going by your logic, if you call palestinians that are getting killed like chickens by the great state of israel Terrorists, then i have no sympathy for anyone that calls himself Biafran, infact they are a bunch of terrorist that deserve to be put down wherever they stand. if you support israel for treating pple who initially welcomed them by their thousands to their own land, they you should support nigeria too when we kill all Igbos who identify as Biafran abi do you still have anything worthwhile to contribute? I for one support the actualization of the palestinian state! i do’t see them as terrorist rather i see them as oppressed pple who need the permission of israel to even leave their own country or can very very easily lose their homes and livelihood to jewish settlers just because they are not Jews

          • Otile

I have no intention of carrying on further arguments with an imbecile like you. Your reasoning is so puerile I cannot finish reading your crap. When I came to a point you said “…when we kill all Igbos…bla bla bla” it was time for me to quit because I realized I was arguing with a mad man. How can you kill all Igbo when Britain and Russia now got oil and will not help you and your Fulani masters again? Pahetic.

          • Sparzo

You with the knowledge of an amoeba,
I must say you do have a nerve. Even though it is that of an inbred blockhead.

          • Hans Oreva

again your hatred has reduced you reasoning to nothing!; you want palestinian dead you label them terrorist but in the same vein you want Biafrans free; so if i call all members of Massob and IPOb terrorist and wish the nigerian military to exterminate them all; you should support me too nah! because you support israel when it kills thousands of children and innocent civilians too; if you want sympathy you cannot show Hatred to those in similar position as yourself…the whole world wants a free palestine except Israel and the U.S(even though they wouldn’t publicly admit it) and you Hypocrite with no vested interest also support the genocide of defenseless pple MTCHEW you will continue to cry about your Biafra and continue to wonder why no one pay attention to your sufferings.

          • okenwa

Buhari called palestinians his brothers and sisters because they are muslims but he is killing igbos in nigeria who are agitating the same freedom as palestinians. If buhari wants freedom for his brothers and sisters because they are muslims then allow igbos to support thier brothers and sisters in the jewish state of israel to kill thier comon enemies who are buhari’s brothers and sisters.

          • Hans Oreva

haha mumu so while you are there supporting israel to kill YOUR ‘common enemies’ as you put it; we(Nigerians) on our side are supporting the our army in their mission to delete all Terrorists who identify as Biafrans.

          • Hans Oreva

by the way because i am a christian, I believe all men to be my brothers and sisters regardless of creed, religion or race…. are you a jew or igbe worshipper? Christ Love seems not to be present in you at all

          • Prophet

Go find out the things your saintly Israeli’s did to get rid of the British after the UN vote passed to create Israel. You will gain new perspectives in terrorism.
For example, find out what they did to pregnant women.

  • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Nigerians from the SE and SS in particular are seriously concerned about the security of the Jewish state of Israel. The right of Israel to exist as a jewish state is not negotiable and any entity that does not agree is not worthy of recognition.

    • Sparzo

Hold your wild horses. The Jewish state of Israel exists. it is a fact.
It is the Jewish state of Israel that does not want the existence of a Palestinian state.
Nathanyahu and his extreme right wing religious cabinet have said so and are saying so daily.
Israel is nt a victim here, On the contrary Israel is the serial and serious abuser.
Lets get things in perspective, shall we?

      • Hans Oreva

thanks for educating him a bit, if you have the effrontery to complain about the Biafran secession debacle; you must also support the palestinian secession except you are a *uc*ing Hypocrite; if you choose to be unsympathetic then i feel no pity for whatever IPOB and its members are passing thru; and i pray more difficulties and death befall all those hypocrites who wants freedom but wish others to be caged.

      • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The official position of the Israeli state is in support of a Palestinian state. However the failure of the Palestinians to recognise the rights of the existence of a Jewish state of Israel with Jerusalem, the city built by King David as it’s indivisible capital is a sticking point.

Israel is a unique nation which has suffered pogroms and holocaust, and the fact that they are surrounded by hostile nations who seek to destroy them is worrisome.

During the dark days of blockade in Biafra when our women and children were being starved to death by the genocidal policies spear-headed by Obafemi Awolowo,Israeli pilots risked their lives to fly in some food and medicines at night often landing in impossible bush runways, off loading and taking off again to run the gauntlet of federal MIG fighter jets whose cowardly antics of shooting down civilian humanitarian planes was no secret.

The state of Israel will remain dear to us no matter what .

        • Hans Oreva

first of my guy, according to the original agreement that is indisputable, Jerusalem divided into 2 would be the capital of both the jewish state of israel and the palestinian state. secondly Jerusalem was not built by David rather it was conquered and its inhabitants exterminated… i thought all christians know this, its written in black and white; 2samuel chapter 5 covers how david and his soldiers conquered and took the city of Jerusalem after which he made it(jerusalem) his capital again this FACT is indisputable… if you want sympathy for your Biafran struggle, common sense says you should extend empathy to those in similar position like the Palestinian who have being occupied since the 6day war of 1967 in which israel encroached into GAZA, eastern jerusalem and most of the other palestinian territories and have refused to leave fully knowing that their continued stay in Palestine is in contravention of all international laws

        • Sparzo

Israel suffered pogrom and holocaust, Is that an excuse for behaving like Nazis?
The abused turned abuser, How about taking it out on the Europeans who persecuted then,
They got compensation and reparations. They also got a state of their own,
Africans did noy get a washer for 400yrs of slavery.

You would be a bare face liar, if you say the Jewish state of Israel stands today, for a two state solution.

          • CHIBABA

stop peddling lies, Israel wasn’t created by force, Jews had long being in the land called Palestine as well as Arabs, the large illegal migration by Arabs is well documented. The invasion of Jerusalem by the islamic caliphate in 637 CE is also well documented. It was the UN that agreed to a two state solution by voting, the Jews made good use of the opportunity and created Israel out of the allotted land given them (A dream they’ve nurtured for thousands of years that one day Israel will rise again). since that time Israel has known no peace form the 1948 war to the 1967 war to the Yom-Kippur war of 1973 to the Gaza wars to the Intifada s all a gang up by arabs against tiny Israel but God being merciful to Israel, Israel wooped their asses on all occasions and yet you call Israel the aggressors, the Nazis. Nonsense. Go cure your ignorance Wikipedia is just a tab away.

          • Sparzo

My hasbara friend, there is never a good excuse to,

Mr President, there is no upside for us dabbling in Middle East politics. We have our hands full with serious domestic problems of our own. Arafat was offered a separate Palestinian state when Bill Clinton was US President. He rejected it because he would settle for nothing less than all of Israel as the Palestinian state. Nothing has changed.

Nigeria’s total support for ending apartheid in South Africa was the catalyst the world needed to end apartheid in South Africa. Nigeria’s total support for ending the apartheid in Palestine is sorely needed at this time to help broker lasting peace in the holy lands – thank you President Buhari for providing the leadership required to bring this to fruition.

    • concernednigerian

You’re confusing Zimbabwe’s independence in which Nigeria with a strong economy played a major role with South Africa’s. Nigeria’s role in South Africa’s negotiated settlement was peripheral. Too many uninformed internet experts/warriors abound in Nigeria.

  • umolu

Buhari is a smart man even with little education. At least he knows how to rush to America for help. What he does not know however is that Isreal is America and America is Israel .The two have an unshakable bond.He should concern himself with a country that can not provide security for its citizens, feed it’s citizens; a country that is a make believe,a country with millions of kids under his nose up north that are not going to school. A very corrupt country that is described in certain quarters as a toilet bowl.

  • FirecloudOFGOD

Buhari, rather than squarely face the issues in Nigeria, you have started dabbling in the quicksand politics of Middle East! Was there ever a state called Palestine? Jerusalem is God’s own city! You are starting to dabble in issues that will wrought destruction on those who swear to annihilate Israel! The two state solution has been dead all along! So, please come back home and resolve the hunger and the destruction of your own country and do not be a later day Robin Hood!

PMB is and has always been on track in terms of international support, during GEJ reign, many of this small nations were threatening us and we couldn’t do anything but PMB time, things started changing

  • UFOROABAZ

PMBs comment on this purely diplomatic issue that centers on Religion, Territorial sites, and pride,is like a class teacher who began a maths class by asking,’How many of you know Differential Calculus?’.Some students raised up their hands, and a certain Akpos, also raised his hands. The teacher, curious and impressed asked Akpos how he knew Differential Calculus. To which Akpos replied,’I saw it in the Library shelf!’PMB MUST ALWAYS REALIZE THAT NIGERIA IS A SECULAR STATE! Issues that bother on Religion should not be treated as personal issues, nor should it be based on what Europe or US says. It should be treated impartially and with out sentiments.

    • Prophet

Pls do not regard what we are about to say as an insult because it is NOT!

Rather, think about it as a free psychological diagnosis of your condition when we say that you sir, are n idi0t!

      • Burning Spear

When his is compared to that of Buhari abi————–who could not even opass his school cert——? How can u allow a blind man lead u–who is not using brail to read and write?

      • UFOROABAZ

        • Prophet

….Of course you will have none of our intellectual abilities. We barely have enough ourselves and offering any part of the little we have would be counter-intuitive…no?

    • Sparzo

It not about religion. It about land. Palestinian land and state.
It is about the occupation and the incessant killing and dispossession of Palestinians daily.
It is about mans inhumanity to man.

      • Ibe Johnson

What of the incessant killing of shiites and biafra protesters. His contributions lack justification. He even lacks basic knowledge and information of the topic as his depositions seem to be scripted. 4 wasted years for Nigeria.

        • Sparzo

I think you want to address @uforoabaz:disqus
I haven,t the faintest idea what you are on about.

  • 9ja deserves better dan Buhari

The only way for the Pestinians to gain their freedom is via the African Union—which the Palestinians themselves have been doing all to aviod——OIC have not done a thing in aid of the Palestinain cause- They seem to be more interested in their Islamization policy of the Fulani North, than working to free the Palestinains from the grip of the USA—————Already, the Arab countries from the Gulf Region and the Middle East are all working with the CIA that installed Buhari as president of Nigeria to frustrate the plans of the Palestinian People for a Homeland of their own-Side by side with Almighty Israel ofcourse. Besides how can Buhari sincerely champion the cause of the Palestinian, when he owes his allegiance to the USA that escorted him under arms to Aso Rock? The price of crude oil was never $100 when Jonathan left office—We have been blessed enough by the awoooooooooooooooof oil revenue that we have been stealing from the people of the South south region—since 1957–So Nigerians should stop complaining—After demonizing Niger Deltans and stealing their oil revenue and oil blocks–4 years–Time to free them from the cluches of their internal colonizers—-They also fought and died in their thousands—during the civil war –fought to keep Nigeria one-And-not their oil wells-which the rogues from the Fulani North ati South West and their surrogates from the south east control in Aso rock—Are we not worst off than the Palestinians in the Niger Delta of Nigeria-?—————Where our girls are being abducted for Boko haram suicide bombing missions————-by the new Fulani Czar in Aso rock—————–let my people go—–

  • Domingos

Buhari has declared FULL support for the creation of a new Palestine state BUT has ordered his soldiers to continue to kill peaceful unarmed Biafrans who want a separate state and do not want to remain in a British amalgam called Nigeria. This is willful MUMUDITY. Mumudity of purpose my dear friends. . This is unadulterated bas belle. This is a fundamentalist behavior. Sharialike in every and all ways. Nigerians must now as Buhari to explain his actions.

  • Dr Pat Kolawole Awori

This is unacceptable. Why declare full support fr a separatist terrorist organization whose citizens have been stabbing, killing and bombing? Mr Mohammadu Buhari is gradually confirming and in fact affirming the fears in some quarters that he is an Islamist fundamentalist. Extremist! Why are his advisers leaving him bare? This kind of decision should have been made with caution. I hope he understands the implications. But is this why he has been visiting all the Islamic countries of the world?

    • Prophet

remove that D and R from the front of your name.

No one that has achieved that level of education would write the kind of rubbish you just posted.
FYI, all world leaders are in agreement with Buhari and in support of the two state solution.

    • cyprian nzekwe

It may interest you to note that the 2-state option that Buhari supports also enjoys the support of many countries including the USA and members of the G8. Even the late Israeli PrIme Minister, Ariel Sharon worked tirelessly to achieve this. Notable jewish leaders have spoken in support of this. Even Benjamin Netanyahu was a supporter. Are all these people Islamic Fundamentalists?

  • AriaFada

After reading the comments below, I can only say: That’s why I like the blackman, he will kill himself over another persons fight. Truly we are an altruistic race.

  • Dr Pat Kolawole Awosan

@impersonator of Dr Pat Kolawole Awori:Whoever the impersonator that used my name below in this forum is a criminal that awaits the swift hot judgement of heaven.

  • Dr Pat Kolawole Awosan

As long as the United Nations abdicated its fundamental role to lead negotiations for peaceful co-existence between the jewish state of Israel and the people of Palestine, that instead of United Nations playing neutral role it is the United States of America,a staunch supporter of Jweish State of Israel,is the pretender of peace making in disguise, ano permanent peace could ever be achieved between Israel and Palestine people.USA is not a neutral peace maker but a biased peace negotiator.Only a neutral United Nations could ever achieve two states permanent peace between Israelis and Palestine people. In twenty first century, the world community must face the fact and be truthful.
