Buhari won’t spare Jonathan if ex-president is proven corrupt –Presidency

In Nigeria’s ongoing war against corruption, President Muhammadu Buhari will not spare anyone who has a case to answer, and his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, would face justice if guilty, presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, has said.

Mr. Adesina told PREMIUM TIMES on Thursday, when he visited the newspaper’s office in Abuja, that Mr. Buhari has “no accord” to shield any corrupt person from prosecution.

“There is no accord,” he said, “if the corruption fight needs to get there (making Mr. Jonathan face justice), it will get there.”

Several top officials who served under Mr. Jonathan, as well as his political associates in the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party, are currently being tried, or investigated by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission, for corruption.

A major case involves a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, accused of diverting $2.1 billion arms money, and sharing same to politicians and cronies of the former president.

According to investigators, Mr. Dasuki said he was authorized by Mr. Jonathan to release the money for the nation’s security programmes, and for the 2015 presidential campaign.

The spokesperson for the PDP, Olisa Metuh, also said he received payment from Mr. Dasuki after carrying out some assignments for the former president.

Those claims have raised questions regarding whether Mr. Jonathan, whom Mr. Buhari assured during transfer of power in 2015, that he had nothing to fear, would face prosecution should it be proven he has a case to answer.

Mr. Buhari has also been accused of bias against the PDP.

That allegations gained traction last week after his associate and party member, Jafaru Isa, was released by the EFCC despite facing what appeared a similar allegation as that against Mr. Metuh, the PDP spokesperson.

But Mr. Adesina denied the allegations against the president.

“There is no accord that if corruption is proven, it will not be tried,” he said of the former president. “With this president, nobody will be protected. And I underscore it, if it needs to get anywhere, it will get there.”

He emphasized that there was no agreement prior to the March 2015 presidential election that Mr. Jonathan would not be made to face trial if corruption allegations were proven against him.

Mr. Adesina denied Mr. Buhari’s involvement in the release of Mr. Isa after the APC member reportedly returned N100 million out of N170 million he was accused of unlawfully receiving from Mr. Dasuki.

“If the President had wanted to protect him, he would not have been arrested in the first place”, Mr. Adesina said.

He said investigations into other sectors, such as banking, and petroleum, would soon start.

    • APC cannot bury truth

Buhari is too empty to move Nigeria forward that is why he keeps on talking about Jonathan—-That is what happens whenever the Fulanis are in power—Just talk talk no ideas on how to move the country forward–Buhari without shame relied on his fake anti corruption slogans to deceive us over 30 years ago—He said Shagari was corrupt–Now 30 years after Jonathan is corrupt-again-The only person that is not corrupt is IBB and –Obj—The Amaechis–Fasholas Dambazuas- Prof Yakubus Col Ali of Customs–Tinubu–Fayemi——–and his wife Aisha–who was involved in the Halliburton scandal with Atiku not corrupt–what a shame—-Let him arrest Jonathan—and see how hot he is—-monkey

Please mark my words: Ex-President G. E. Jonathan is a sacred cow = he cannot be touched by President Buhari on any circumstances.

Go and take your medicine for hallucination and delusion , wake up and start posting here. Why is Metuh initially in underground cell and later in hand cuff.

          • M-olaniyi Odebode

My young man Sam (I presume you must be young from your outburst at a relatively old man fast approaching 70), your comments, confidence, and vituperation will be justified only when the sacred cow is touched. Non-sacred cows can be, and usually are, touched and sacrificed. When you take cognizance of the facts that corruption is deeply entrenched in the Nigerian polity and that corruption will vigorously fight back any attempt to uproot it, then you will understand the meaning and purpose of my comment. My long training taught me to look below the surface and not to take statements at their face value. It also taught me decorum in speech and writing. I hope that younger Nigerians can learn these.

          • Your Biodun

Lol..Buhari is cutting down all of EBELE’s protective wings.Alams,Asari,Tompolo,Metuh,Dasuki,Diezanie and Papa Clark..Where are they today?? By the time EBELE is picked up,there would nobody there to protect him.He would be completely on his own.Ebele will get the Metuh-treatment.It’s inevitable, dude.

          • M-olaniyi Odebode

Your Biodun, Please read my reply to Sam as it adequately takes care of your comments. It should also teach you not to call anyone a dude. Nigeria would have attained its golden age the day Ebele is touched. We are still very far from that age. Until then, I stand by my words.

I think each region in Nigeria should be exploited and developed in line with there comparative advantage and the requisite infrastructure to support enterprise and industry should be the focus of the government I think that igbo land would be better served with a functional international airport ie cargo and passengers tier one foreign consulates good roads and rail network security a sea port in onitsha and onne, and reliable power supply to support industry with these things in place the people in this part of Nigeria can now fend for themselves and self actualise their destinies

2016 BUDGET: Important Pages Missing: Nos 191,195,197,198, 200 and 201 Removed.

Senators commenced debates on the 2016 national budget but disagreed on several grey areas and on allocations to various sectors and institutions.
The lawmakers, especially those elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), described President Muhammadu Buhari’s allocation of N3.7 billion for Aso Rock renovation.

As soon as he lost the 2014 election, former President Goodluck Jonathan had renovated the Presidential Villa in readiness for Buhari’s occupation.
Against this backdrop, the Senators described the allocation for the project as unwarranted.
That was not all. The opposition lawmakers also raised posers over President Buhari’s spreading of the N1.7 billion voted for vehicles in the budget he presented on December 22, 2015 to other units and activities in the Presidency in the corrected version of the Appropriation Bill.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi (Delta) said that the budget was a huge fraud, pointing out missing pages in the document that was supposed to have addressed certain items.
“This budget is a fraud because it is not predicated on the right oil justification of $38 percent per barrel. They should fill these gaps so that we will not pass this budget and they will go back again to fill the gaps with different figures.
“First, in that document, so many portions are missing. Look at it, you cannot find pages 191,195,197,198, 200 and 201 in this budget and it’s suspect. What do they want that they tactically avoided filling in these sections?”

    • Buhari4Ever

Deri Orbuka, you should worry more about how GEJ wasted $480Bn oil revenue like a drunken sailor. The Bible has been vindicated that an ANT is more sensible than GEJ that could not save any amount during the season of surplus

  • simonibekwe

Corrupt Goodluck Jonathan must face justice for the fury and outrage of Nigerians to be assuaged.

    • share Idea

Please don’t mind PT and clueless APC, if they don’t mention GEJ’s name they lies and propaganda will not carry any weight. If GEJ had left the country, they would have said he was running away from prosecution, now he is in the country, they keep testing water by planting PR stories.

  • Fadama

It is about time GEJ spoke. His silence is no longer acceptable.

  • Paul Young

I support fully the war against corruption but i think the office of the former President must be respected

He should have rather respected his office during his misrule

      • Tamuno-Opubo Cookey-Gam

  • Olamide

If Jonadatf is found guilty,he will be jailed. Jonathan clueless ran Nigeria like he was running his family business forgetting that he will leave the position sooner than later. All looters shall be jailed by the present administration

  • I dare Buhari to touch Jonathan

    • NoSpinEd

The way to handle this delicate issue if Jonathan is proven guilty of any crime is for Buhari to do what President Ford did with Nixon during during the Watergate scandal: Let the law run its course then offer a presidential pardon. Demand the return of all stolen funds, then move on with governing. This will mitigate the inevitable political fall out of an actual imprisonment.

  • Benny

In saner climes, a man that truncated a democratic elected government via the barrel of gun would not be allowed to attain the pisition of a President. To me, Buhari is a bandit and a coup plotter that deserves no mercy. Enough of these rascality or else the Warri South episode of last week would be a child’s play. We Ijaws are not cowards and no one would dare intimidate us. We lay the golden egg and can decide to terminate the gestation of the egg. Enough of this madness.

    • owhonda

How much is oil? Wait until it gets to 5 dollars. I pity Jonathan. This episode falls into an era where crude oil prices is nearing 0 dollars. He would be jailed.

    • BRIGGS

Criminal like you will soon end where u belong. KIRIKIRI.

    • persona

Benny, so with the first babe you slept with, you have a right to marry another abi?
In your perspective, you are also a rapist and usurper who used false words to get into the pants of a lady he knew he had no capacity to marry.
The nation is not logging the errors of everyone but the values they can deliver later down the line, hence you are still free to benefit from the land that should have jailed you for the supposed babe you laid.
Whether you like it or not, the nation will move on without you. Buhari has a bag of mixed blessings, the world’s need for our crude has gone down, the nation has planned to diversify and that makes your leverage on oil less significant.
Other regions are now having commercial quantities to boast of and are not hostile either. Lagos, Ogun, Ondo all in the SW are primed for the world stage and have demonstrated overtime that all are welcome in their zone. The north also is doing same, so you can blow pipelines all you want, Nigeria will only ignore your cries for the ills you chose to do to your selves.

The question is when will the trial proper begin—–Today we have 20 charges against Dasuki–once he is granted bail–u press fresh charges against Metuh again–What this means is that the trial proper will never start–Yet buhari hides under these demonic acts to claim he is fighting corruption–How is he doing that–by asking the prosecution to press fresh charges-agains those he calimed stole 1.2b–which is more than 600b-Yet so far only 10b is said to have been stolen by Dasuki and his team –So who stole the rest money–Amaechi ati Fashola or Buhari himself? Since Buhari cannot account for the 5.6b in NNPC – With the way these cases are being handled by Efcc–the matter will go on for another 50 years–without the trial proper taking place–That is long after Buhari must have passed away and left Aisha behind for vulturers like Obj to devour–i laugh

This government would use every state power to enforce, protect, lives and properties and those who wants to escalate, we have nobody to blame but themselves. Buhari To Use Islamic Bond to Fund Nigerian Budget. Bond Complies with Sharia, Islamic Religious law

As the pressure on federal revenue mounts following steady decline in oil revenue, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Government which many Nigerian feared would move the country towards the door steptsa of Sharia friendly ideas, have decided to resort to the use of (Sukuk Bond) for funding the widening budget deficit. Sukuk is a financial certificate, similar to the traditional government bond, but complies with Sharia, Islamic religious law. That is hwy he has been moving around Gulf countries within the last few days-to ensure that Nigeria becomes a Sharia friendly country by signing pacts with his Arab countries–in a Nation that is supposed to be secular in Nature-

Many commentators don’t understand that it takes a lot to provoke a nation such as Biafra to go to war. Yes, there have been many provocations such as the treatment of Kanu, Metuh, and others, including the conduct of the last elections that brought Buhari to power by INEC, the selective prosecutions by this administrations, the violation of the constitution of Nigeria viz the Federal Character clause, by not appointing SE citizens, and Igbos in general, the constant insults meted out to Igbos on social media, and overall violation of the terms of the agreement that ended the First Nigeria/Biafra War, which was negotiated as NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED, that clearly showed nobody won the war, BUT, the humiliation of JONATHAN, or his arrest will definitely be a cause to finally get the job done this time. No doubt the world was unaware of Muslim Terrorism in 1967, but they know of it now, there should be no reason for the Christian world not to realize that Biafra will need help to fight Nigeria, Saudi, UAE, Chad, Britain, Niger, Libya, and so on, that they fought alone the last time. Surely, the United States MUST help Biafran Soldiers to, this time around, go from Katsina, to Kaduna, To Sokoto, To Chad, To Niger, on their way home!

Ask yourself why GEJ is quiet. The issue is simple, any word he says will be used against him. The head of any beast such as corruption needs to be cut, so far, GEJ is the recurring word in any of the cases. Dasuki underestimated the resolve of Buhari when he said GEJ had nothing to fear.
Dasuki has gone from reading dailies in court to not seeing daylight.
This government come out with enough facts to outlast these criminals and its why when they are about to make bail, they are slammed yet again. The way GEJ will be handled will depend on the respect he chooses to have.

Buhari is a big He goat-senseless and evil to a fault—-He thinks pressing fresh charges daily against the accused persons to enable him keep these people in jail till 2019 will help his cause—–Let the trial proper begin for Nigerians to know the truth or otherwise of the Dasuki case—-Why is Buhari pressing fresh charges against them every time they are granted Bail—————-? The question is when will the trial proper begin—–Today we have 20 charges against Dasuki–once he is granted bail–u press fresh charges against him and Metuh again–What this means is that the trial proper will never start–Yet buhari hides under these demonic acts to claim he is fighting corruption–He Buhari is voilating the right of the accused persons to fair trial-How is he doing that–by asking the prosecution to press fresh charges-against those he claimed stole 1.2b–which is more than 600b-Yet so far only 10b is said to have been traced to Dasuki and his team –So who stole the rest money?–Amaechi ati Fashola or Buhari himself? Is that why Buhari cannot account for the 5.6b deizani left in NNPC – With the way these cases are being handled by Efcc–the matter will go on for another 50 years–without the trial proper taking place–That is long after Buhari must have passed away and left Aisha behind for vulturers like Obj to devour–i laugh

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Ebonyi State, Mr. Abia Onyike, yesterday, stressed that the constant blame being heaped on former President Goodluck Jonathan over the state of economy by the Federal Government was a reflection of its unpreparedness to provide quality services to Nigerians.

Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki on the state of nation, Onyike stated that the Buhari-led administration was yet to make any new or original impact on the economy of the nation, apart from buck-passing and uncoordinated anti-corruption crusade.

According to him, the Federal Government has compounded its credibility problem by disobeying court orders, which equally portrayed it as “anarchic and syndicalist.”

He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately set up a non-partisan economic recovery team made up of astute economic and financial wizards with the mandate to rescue the country from imminent economic retrogression.

It’s long overdue. Arresting Jonathan and his mother hippopotamus would be as good as arresting ordinary criminals because that’s what they’re and nothing will happen. Walking around the world like Shigidi ( status) and obtaining phantom awards will not save him . He must account for his actions and face the consequences thereof . If Jonathan deserves arrest let them carry on, but Buhari too deserves arrest by ICC for not obeying court orders, for protecting known thieves like Rotimi, for witch-hunting non Housas/APCs, for wanton killing of peaceful Biafran prostesters.
It’s ludicrous whenever Adesina attempts to exonerate Buhari from ills that thrive under him; let’s then blame a poor okada rider in some village for Abacha’s evil deeds, let’s also blame MC (yours truly), perhaps, for Buhari’s dictatorial style.

You premiumtimes are also culprits to dictatorship tendencies of politicians because most your topics and languages tilt in favour of APC/Buhari. Buhari shouldn’t arrest Jonathan, at least not yet, until the FG has gathered enough evidence to build a watertight case against Jonathan so that all these idiots who shout witch hunt will not have any more reasons to excuse the corrupt. Let’s face the reality, there is no way Jonathan could feign ignorance that he did not know what Dasuki was doing with the $2.1 bn allocated for the fight against Boko Haram. Again, there is no doubt by now where all the leads in the investigation are pointing to: Jonathan. For a start, the fund was directly issued to Dasuki by the CBN which is quite unusual because under a normal administrative process, the money would have been paid at source to the contractors by the CBN through a Nigerian bank. Or where the procurement for weapons or services was on G2G basis, then the government will raise the requisite financial instrument to channel the funds most likely through the Nigerian finance ministry rather than the CBN or even NSA. If the weapons purchase are for special operations which Nigeria requires for special ops that could not be traced back to the country, then it goes through shell companies that Nigerian government desires to use for such purchases. This type of transactions tend to go through dozens of middle men and shell companies just to make it difficult to trace the source and destination of the arms. But in this age where the major world powers are on the look out for large arm purchases from untraceable sources, such purchases would automatically be flagged up by the concerned nation, and the likely consequences is that the deal would be blocked, and the funds confiscated. This was exactly what happened with the two secret arms purchases the NSA tried to make under GEJ’s govt that the SA government blocked and seized the funds. That deal possibly exposed Dasuki’s attempt to buy weapons from the black market in other to cover the massive heist that he was committing against the Nigerian people.
The question that any investigator needs to ask when trying to establish the people involved in the $2.1 bn arms scandal is, and identify the mastermind is: who is the ultimate beneficiary?. Both you and I know that all the funds traced so far lead back to the same source: PDP’s 2015 presidential campaigns!. Now every financial crimes investigator, every forensic auditor or accountant knows this simple rule: follow the paper trail it leads you to the money, follow the money it leads you to whodunit! In all this, the ultimate beneficiary is Jonathan. Ironically, he was the president at the time, and was the only person that had the power to order CBN to release such large amount of funds without going through the national assembly or reporting to anyone. As the CIC, the NSA reports directly to him, the NSA is under the direct control of the president unlike other institutions of the state including the military, the NSA is simply the office used by the presidency to conduct any operations that the CIC did not want the whole nation to know. For instance, if the president of Nigeria wanted to have the president of a neighbouring country captured alive, or assassinated for one reason or the other because there exists solid intel to show that such official of a foreign nation posed immediate threat to national security of Nigeria and other neighbouring country, the president could not send the military on such operations. It is the office of the NSA that the president will most certainly consult, and the have the NSA liaise with relevant special operations commandos, or even sub contract the mission out through middlemen or PMCs. The point I’m making is that, the office of the NSA is directly under the control of the president.
So the question is, if the $2.1 bn was channelled to GEJ’s re-election, that means the president personally ordered Dasuki to use the money for that purpose. The president’s campaign organisation manage by Fani Kayode received funds directly from Dasuki, the pdp chairman received funds from Dasuki, some of the funds were disbursed by the pdp chairman to other individuals and parties who subsequently adopted Jonathan as their presidential candidate, falae’s party was one of them. Raymond Dokpesi received funds directly from Dasuki, and lest we forget, Dokpesi’s ray power commissioned and aired two documentaries that savagely attached the APC party chairman, Tinubu, and the party presidential candidate, Buhari. Ray power also suddenly became one-sided in its broadcasts in favour of the pdp. So, without a doubt the funds Dokpesi received was payment to help pdp’s presidential candidate win the election by creating fear and hate against the opposition party. Again, Jonathan was the ultimate beneficiary of such payments.
The truth in this investigation of who is responsible for diverting the $2.1 bn is as clear as daylight!

Is it not idiotic to think corruption is best fought by prosecution alone? What efforts at deterence has this govt made?
Let no one think about laying a finger in GEJ until the peoples have the privilege to forge her own sovereign constitution, not the fraudulent & imperialistic one foisted on us!

    • Maria

Prosecution is a form of deterrence….the fear of prosecution is the beginning of wisdom.

    • persona

How convenient, the same laws was used to organize the elections of GEJ and those before him BUT now you desire the laws be changed to accommodate your desires?
The deterrence is already spelt in the laws of the land and they were aware, hence GEJ had a minister for Justice and not minister for law. The minister should have advised him that justice will be served with all the infractions he committed. We will use the old laws he breached to serve as deterrent, fair is fair.

  • Romberg

Jonathan should be arrested. We know that is legal only if his immunity was ever revoked. But Buhari is in a more dangerous position than Jonathan. If an objective enquiry could establish that Buhari too received public money for his campaign, especially from states, Buhari should go to jail.

    • ejiofor

      @disqus_NyVwwG2r74:disqus

Which immunity are you talking about? Goodluck Jonathan has no immunity today! He’ll be arrested
like any other common thief. Immunity is given inside the constitution for the time a person is in office,
not one minute after that. Jonathan has questions to answer on all these crooked taking of money as if
his father is the owner of Central Bank of Nigeria. He must be arrested to say who gave him confidence
that nothing can happen if he takes and spends Nigeria’s money anyhow. There is no way Jonathan can
escape the minimum 14 years in prison for all these things. He was behaving just like a criminal let loose.
No accountability, no conscience and no shame or self-respect. Goodluck Jonathan is a very bad man.

      • Romberg

I’d think his immunity indemnifies him for all his actions while in power. Otherwise Obasanjo should have been prosecuted for the destruction of Odi and Zakibiam. Buhari too should have been arrested for leading an illegal government during his military era. For example, now that it is illegal to stage a coup in Nigeria. In retrospect, those who have committed the crime should be arrested and purnished. Only for the respect of the office they occupied, they can’t be questioned, even for their obvious crimes – the wrongful arrests, the stealings, the malady they ran and called a government….

        • Maria

So, because Obasanjo was not prosecuted, that means immunity shields them from prosecution… I thought you are educated. Why did Jonathan not prosecute all ministers who stole money under Yaradua, was it because their actions too were protected by any immunity? Obasanjo was not prosecuted because no one had the political will to prosecute him…

          • Romberg

If I concede you are right, then all of them including Buhari should be sent to jail. They were only covered while in office. They could be prosecuted thereafter. St. Buhari ruled Nigeria through a coup. He was protected while he held sway, he should be prosecuted for taking part in such illegality. Obasanjo should go to jail, so is Babangida, Jonathan…

APC governors also contributed public money into Buhari’s campaign and the APC’s central purse. Whether such money is meant for Bokoharam or for high schools, it’s the same tax payers money. So both Jonathan and Buhari committed the same crime.

I am happy to see Jonathan in prison. I will be happier if others like him are sent to jail as well, including OBJ and Buhari.

          • Maria

You have to prosecute and convict them before you can send them to jail. Over to you…send your petitions to EFCC.

The immunity covered his actions when he was in government though?

Premium Times should help Nigeria to tell
President Buhari that we are suffering a lot since Raji Fashola was appointed
Minister for Electricity. Since I was born I have not seen more darkness in my
life than these days when Raji Fashola resumed as Minister. Raji Fashola is not
competent. Premium Times should look deep into this matter. Raji Fashola is a
misfit. He was just taking money anyhow in Lagos to bribe journalists to praise
him for planting flowers. Is flower the solution to poverty? He has brought his
empty head into federal government. Sometimes for three or four days we don’t
have any light in our area. This sort of nonsense never happened since Nigeria
gained independence on October 1st 1960. The Raji Fashola cannot explain
himself because if he says he is not incompetent that means he is stealing and
corrupt because under the same 2015 budget Jonathan supplied electricity for
at least few hours every day. Raji Fashola is supplying darkness and disgracing
President Buhari as a useless man.

Workers cannot produce anything inside the heat. This is a terrible situation we are facing. This electricity thing may turn the people against Buhari very soon. It is even spoiling all the food we put in the fridge. It is like a tax on the poor people who need 1000 Naira a day to buy petrol for generator to be able to do one or two things. You just multiply 1000 by 30 days. What do you get? You will get 30,000 Naira a month!!!!

Femi, welcome back. Pleas accept my personal condolences on the passing away of your elder sister;may her soul rest in the bosom of the Lord and give her family the fortitude to bear such irreparable loss.
Excellent piece of information. The truth remains that many of Jonathan’s cabinet and assistants had betrayed him, his govt and Nigerians. So far, his aides, ministers and contractors are the rightful people to account for the misdeeds cos most times they are the ones associated with implementation of most programs signed off by the President, therefore, accountable to the responsibility or irresponsibility of the work. I don’t know, if ever you thought of Reuben Abati’s role in keeping President Jonathan away from most of very obvious news / stories which often are in the papers, e.g the Moroccon ambassador’s recall took Jontah. Over a week to know; Chibok girls abduction and world wide reports on it, yet Preseident wasn’t aware even after 18 days. The corruption and feelings of the people and so on. Unbelievable with Abati around him and I personally find him the most that betrayed Jonathan.
In one of your interviews, said, Buhari told you “Femi we may disagree, I may be irrational a times but please always tell me the truth” that’s the most critical of all. You and the CoS are perhaps in audience with the President more than anyone else by virtue of the office. You play the most significant roles in the president’s knowledge of the happenings in the country. So far so good. May God guide your stewardship of the country.

The plan of dictator buhari is to first arrest former militants before he would arrest gej. He knows that if he arrest gej while thieves like amaechi, ibb, obj and co are walking free, former militants will be let loose at the injustice and no oil would be sold again. I support the arrest of gej as long as thieves like amaechi, ibb,obj and co are arrested as well. Anything short of this is unjust and the crisis it would generate would ground the nation.

Gej is the main sponsor of all corruption during his regime , he approved corruption no wonder he said, there is no corruption in Nigeria but minor stealing, he approve for dasuki to collect 2billion dollars from CBN to share IT among other corrupt pdpigs and other wicked Nigerians, the other time he was saying he did not give that approval. I strongly believed part of the amount was used to sponsor Bko Haram in the North east, they are killers and would face the full wrath of the law , we don’t give a dam if Buhari spend his first 4 years trying to force this people return the loot and get punished we will vote for him again ……we do so in the first instance we will do it again this our only hope for securing Nigeria from the hands of looters and killers , any one who is not happy can go and hang …..Carry on General this the last:” fight “you have our mandate and we will give you our mandate again …..let them face face the Charges of Murder and treason so that the will never walk free again in their life time …. get back to Nigerians all the money they have stolen including all interest accrued even it means auctioning all their properties and return our money back, let them ,their families and supporters hang so that Nigeria can be great again….

u dont make sense if really u know wat buhari is doing , justice is not one sided n he cant win 2019 like this quote me

  • Say the truth

Isa Jafaaru was acussed of collecting 170million. Jafaaru allegedly claimed not to have known it was a proceed of criminal activity and it was an acceptable iexcuse to the EFCC. Whereas charge sheet before courts already read that ‘ all the accused knew that the said money was a proceed of criminal activity by Dasuki ‘ HOW? The truth is whether Metuh claimed the same or not and probably pledged a return he would still have been prosecuted. The prosecution of Metuh is premeditated to silence him and so no excuses would have saved him. There is something called ‘security vote’ over which no body on record to date Nigeria had been probed or prosecuted. They all spend it the way they like. How come that Anenih, Bode George, Olu Falae, Maitama Sule and other Arewa leaders including prominent Northern Emirs that received similar funds are not given Metuh’s treatment? Let it be wholistic and not vendata is the message.

    • objective

Jafaru said Dasuki gave him the money to help him (Dasuki) buy a property and Dasuki has not denied. He didn’t dash Jafaru. It makes a whole lot of difference.

    • Peter_Edo

abeg pocket that security vote argument quickly. THIS IS NOT ABOUT SECURITY VOTE, BUT RATHER MONEY APPROPRIATED FOR ARMS. No one said that they didn’t buy any weapons, but as we can see, some of the monies APPROPRIATED WERE NOT USED TO BUY WEAPONS (the money actually spent on weapons was spent unwisely by over inflating the prices, and buying sub standard equip and ammunition – one helicopter actually failed not because of attack, but because of quality and killed our pilots already from this set of purchased stuff) AND WERE DIVERTED TO PRIVATE POCKETS. Now it is time to bring back our money!

    • JC Kunle

After reading the first line of your comment, I totally stopped reading it. You’re so uninformed . You should at least recollect he paid 100 Million back immediately and signed an agreement to pay back the remaining in 4 weeks time. If you agree on what you’re being accused of, you will be let go. They are not interested in keeping people in jail unless the stubborn ones like Metuh.

  • SECCESSIONIST Niger Deltan

Oh thank God. This is what we have been waiting for. Buhari need not deceive himself. Arrest Dr Jonathan while you leave Obasanjo and Babangida and Abuulsalami and lets see how Nigeria survives 48hrs after.

The courts only declared that Tompolo be arrested and 2 refineries (Kaduna & Protharcourt) were shut down 30 hrs later after the reaction of the people. If you pick Jonathan today, that is if you can, then the only refinery working may shut down in 1-2 hrs. It is as simple as ABC…an no Nigerian govt worker will ever receive salary again. The country will be HISTORY.
Read the press release by the Akwa Ibom branch of the Niger Delta patriotic front released today in Uyo. At a press conference and examine the wordings of the communiqué. Many of these people you call militants have PhDs and Buhari is undoubtedly ineligible to be their student. This is the truth. For such an academic inferior to be issuing threats here and there though his media advisers in provocative and quite irritating.

We all pray the EFCC or DSS of whatever goes to touch our Jonathan. Then you will know what it is like for a rat to touch the tail of a cat in the afternoon. If Buhari is serious why not go ahead? You don’t need any more evidence. What of the $2,1b Dasuki shared? Jonathan approved it so why not go get him? Is Buhari waiting for evidence to see where Jonathan took kick backs through special assistants like Obasanjo did for Halibiurton?

    CONCLUSION
Duncee as many call him on this forum, knows he will not see such and he is only making noise to remain relevant and distract Nigerian from the stark failure of his economic team. F9 Mathematics, then how u go pass Economy? Rubbish!.

Those the gods want to destroy, they first make mad. When Duncee disgraced himself in ‘West Germany’ by attempting to give a speech without looking at a prepared material, some of us felt they should have sought the services of a psycho but the APC said all was well that as one gets older he gets better and more intelligent. So I began to wonder, with F9 in Maths in 1962 @21yrs old, how can you make a credit pass @75. But in Nigeria anything is possible and anyone can be president – educated or not, st00pid or sensible. Just look for a forest around you and technically support violence and threaten the weakling ethnic group not worth mentioning….and they all vote for you and use their news media to campaign for you. But the time has come for someone to trash the madness out with horse whip if necessary. When the rat bites off the tail of a cat in broad day light, there cannot be peace even in the animal kingdom. But Fela gave us a clue in his song. Many felt Fela was influenced by what he smoked but they now know better. When a mad man gets to the market and dances naked, it is difficult to cure. We shall see.

Buhari did not take over the affairs of the government from those that you listed. If they were corrupt, why didnt Jonathan arrest them ? Nigeria will survive you. Stop the crap. You wont do shit but, come back in here making noise and endless threats.

      • james

The simple logic is corruption is corruption and any fight of corruption should be wholistic if we want make headway. Anyone who’s corrupt should be made to face the rhythm of the law and be brought to justice. We are all aware of how corruption had spread. Selecting those who should be victimize on the grounds of corruption has by implication become official corruption. LEAVE GEJ. Appreciate him and thank God for him.

        • Julius

Leave gej ? But you wanna fight corruption. Okay oo

GEJ is a national leader, any attempt to ridicule the personality of such genius does not speak well for the country. Such action is capable of undermining the internal unity and peace we had all collectively worked for.

    1. Did you know that Buhari was nominated by Boko haram as its chief negotiator?
    2. Does Buhari think Nigerians are not aware of the sponsors of Boko haram?
    3. How can a man (Buhari) not be interested in the sponsors of terrorists who have killed over 19,000 Nigerians?
    4. How can a forest (Sambissa) be so thick that no army can level it down and capture the terrorists—But of course the Northern soldiers who know the territory kept leaking information to the terrorists and this made it impossible for Jonathan to succeed—-But now that Buhari is there, they stopped the cooperation with terrorists and agreed to still continue killing few people for a while so that people will not suspect the collusion. But Nigerians are no fools.
    5. Buhari cannot claim that his hands are free of blood….his utterances give him out quite easily

    ,,,And Finally,
Nigerians must be reminded that there are thicker forests in the Niger Delta spanning from Koko in old Bendel to the high plains of Obudu in Cross Rivers state. Forests 25 times thicker and 150 times more difficult to navigate …not to mention the swamps with co-oeperative mammy watas. Nigeria will soon be a very interesting place to live. Good luck!

Now that the PDP is out of power at the centre, do we now feel we can ride on this way with inappropriateness and get desired result? if we can be sincere everyone is guilty of corruption and we should all submit ourselves to the law whether president or not. Wake up, Premium Times!

You people there in Premium Times,
for God’s sake please remove the Hijab you are all wearing for a few minutes
and see the country going to the dogs very rapidly! No electricity supply for four
days running. You don’t see that one. The King of Ugwuashi-uku was kidnapped by
Fulani herdsmen few days ago. The king’s corpse was found yesterday somewhere
between Okpan and Umunede. You did not hear that one?

This your Hijab you are all wearing
there in the newsroom is blocking your view. Remove it and see well. Nigeria is going
to the dogs. Yesterday, Shoreline Group Oil company announced a massive sack of
700 oil workers – which is equal to 35% of the whole company. You did not see that?
And you did not hear that Shoreline Group Oil company has postponed its
500 million-dollar euro bond because petrol is now selling at $28 per barrel?
Your problem there is the Hijab you made compulsory dress in your newsroom.
You can’t see far by wearing the Hijab.

Nigerian problem is that the executive keep on creating more problem instead of solving the already multifarious and multifaceted problems. We have identified our problems as corruption, inefficiency and unproductivity. Manhunt against an opposition for compound the complexities of the present government. GEJ has demonstrated his goodwill for ensuring his peaceful solidarity at peace and governance. ONE MAN, ONE VOTE. NO PERSON’S BLOOD IS WORTH SPILLING IN HIS QUEST FOR POWER.

  • elivis elvis

Nigeria must tread carefully so as to always sustain the peace it has always yearn for. President Buhari should concerntrate and not allow media jingles mislead him into thinking that GEJ is the problem and must be prosecuted. Any of such actions will surely lure our society into it worst state.

Pension contributions are made by the working population of Nigerians in the hope that they will have regular income when they retire from active service.

The EFCC and the FG are just jokers. There’s no way you’ll talk about this so called ‘arms deal’ scam & you haven’t brought the former president for questioning. I just hope you have it in mind that this drama you are allowing Nigerians to enjoy will definitely come to an end.

i tort Dasuki also said he gave Buhari 300m for his campaign, and no body is saying anything thing about it, i tort this is democracy and they claim to be change of this country
let PMB lead by example by clarifying Nigerians on this issue if he has nothing to hide and he should leave our World hero GEJ alone at least GEJ has not been mentioned yet

Raji Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi and several top buhari’s men have cases with the Efcc, does it mean that they are been shielded under the veto-power of the presidency? I support the innihilation of corruption but let it not look like a witch-hunt as claimed by the PDP

  • Sambo

I quote Femi Adeshina again “Several top officials who served under Mr. Jonathan, as well as his political associates in the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party, are currently being tried, or investigated by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission, for corruption” This is the question that keeps bodering us, why is only Jonathan’s administration the target on corruption fight. If president muhammed buhari wants Nigerians to believ in his government, he should fight corruption on a leveled ground not minding the party involved.

  • ken

How long will this continue. People like Buhari are not meant to be President he should have be a prison guide security, Nigeria is worth more than this, all we are looking after is for poor Nigeria not to suffer more in this Buhari regime but what Buhari is doing is to make sure Nigeria suffer & to make room for himself to benefit more before Nigeria realize his kind.

I put it to you all that this whole “Arms Deal” issue is a stunt orchestrated by the present government. They slid into office using these kinds of propaganda & they are trying to govern Nigeria using it still, which doesn’t work that way. Jonathan’s legacies can never be forgotten by well-meaning Nigerians and several international organizations, he has left a mark that will be forever celebrated. Only a man with the fear of God and respect for human right will do as GEJ did. Instead of PMB to continue on that note and even do better, he has instead brought more problems since his election all in the name of fighting corruption. If he is not capable pioneering the affairs challenging this economy I think it’ll be better for him to resign before this country finally dies.

    • Henry_Itopa

What exactly is Jonathan’s legacy? Please help those of us who missed this. Other than the kleptocracy he allowed to forment and numerous instances of incompetence and lack of leadership what legacy abeg?

Arrest Jonathan & watch this country burn as the international community have been predicting for years now and exactly what Jonathan himself didn’t want to happen when he peacefully/willingly accepted defeat during the presidential election.

    • Truthometer

Stop deceiving yourself. Jonathan will surely be handcuffed to the court of law at the appropriate time, and people like you will take refuge under your wife’s bed. We are in the sane era of PMB not era of kleptomaniac GEJ. Nobody or group of people can ever hold this country to ransom any longer. Those days are gone!

      • Rumournaire

I would have loved to agree with you. But I suspect there won’t be enough evidence to convict Jonathan of stealing. Rulers like him have a way of covering their tracks and making other people their “fall guy”. Take the case of Dasuki and the arms procurement money. Jonathan did not commit an offense when he ordered release of money to Dasuki for arms procurement. You won’t see where he signed approving that the money be shared the way Dasuki shared it. Even Diezani’s case which I believe is a lot bigger, you are not likely to see GEJ’s footprint. That is the way these crooked leaders operate!

        • Rumournaire

On second thought, I predict that this Dasuki saga will go as follows:

          (1) GEJ will say the US$2.1b he authorised for Dasuki was not specifically for arms procurement and that it was just a “Secutity Vote”. (I read somewhere that GEJ already said something like that.)
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s testimony did not say that the money was specifically for arms procurement.
          (2) On the basis of that statement by GEJ, Dasuki’s lawyers will point out that officers are not required to account for Security Votes allocated to their units – which is true. This will be the thrust of Dasuki’s defense.
          (3) Nigerians will ask GEJ which moneys he specifically approved for arms procurement, but GEJ will not answer, or at best, he will say the budget he approved for the military (not the adhoc US$2.1b) was assumed to include money for arms procurement.
          (4) Dasuki will be freed for “no case to answer”.

    • FreeNigeria

The truth is, GEJ is corrupt beyond words, but he won’t be arrested because this is Nigeria where certain people are above the law. However, if he’s arrested, na you wan start the fire?

      • Joe

OBJ, IBB, and Abdulsalam enriched themselves far more than GEJ. Infact GEJ as a person is not rich, but he was unable to control the men and women that worked under him. Believe me, OBJ and IBB embezzled and made Nigeria dry more than Abacha.

      • okenwa

That is not the truth but the truth is that GEJ, OBJ, ABDULSALAM, ABACHA AND BUHARI ARE ALL CORRUPT. But arresting GEJ alone will be deemed tribal and this i tell will bring a tribal war in nigeria. People will ask how come its only thier own arrested and others from other tribes protected. Buhari may be the last president of nigeria.

Now I am sure more than anything else that water go catch fire. Duncee’s problem is inferiority complex. This is exactly a psychological problem and people should get him help. It is curable.—————–The only way he can measure up to successful and brilliant people is to intimidate and harrass by arresting and detaining them like he did to ALL the Professors and academicians in the second republic of Shagari’s administration. He left all those Govs who were not well educated but ,made sure all the Profs and any with PhD was arrested. So rather than insults what Duncee needs is treatment and prayers.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, is the last bus stop for President Muhammadu Buhari, touch him and see the ugly side of his people. President Muhammadu Buhari, must first and formost arrest the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, being the pioneer President in the PDP era. This so-called war against corruption in which a selected few are the target is nothing but a mere distraction from this inept government. One year into this administration and nothing to show for it, same sorry tale every now and then, while the economy is on a free fall. Mr Femi Adesina, is supposed to be more enlightened than the President he is working for, it therefore follows that his uterances should reflect his intellect. Virtually all the members of the APC were part and parcel of the rot in the previous governments under the PDP, so, membership of the ruling APC has absolved the whole bunch from their own theft of public fund.

IF BUHARI AND APC, IN ALL CONSCIENCE, WANT TO PROBE AND POSSIBLY INDICT JONATHAN PLEASE LET THEM DO SO WITH ALL PLEASURE. BUT THEY SHOULD ALSO HAVE THE COURAGE TO PROBE PAST MILITARY RULERS WHO TAUGHT THE CIVILIAN GOVERNMENT OF GOODLUCK JONATHAN HOW TO LOOT GOVERNMENT TREASURY. IT IS VERY INTERESTING TO HEAR THE GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE, ADAMS OSHIEMOLE, SAY THAT WHAT THEY ARE PROBING JONATHAN MEN FOR IS NOT SECURITY VOTE BUT MONEY VOTED TO FIGHT BOKO HARAM. AT THE END OF THE DAY, GOVERNOR OSHIEMOLE SHOULD TELL THE NATION WHETHER OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER HAS BECOME MINISTRY OF DEFENCE WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ARMY, NAVY AND AIRFORCE IN THIS COUNTRY. WHAT THE MILITARY MEN ARE TELLING US IS THAT THEY ARE STILL IN POWER IN THIS COUNTRY, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, AND NO CIVILIAN ADMINISTRATION CAN STAND UP TO THEM. IT IS A PITY THAT PRESIDENT JONATHAN PLAYED INTO THEIR HANDS. WHEN OBASANJO ABANDONED JONATHAN AND BABANGIDA FUMED OVER A TV DOCUMENTARY AND THREATENED TO INVOKE ESPIRIT DE CORP AGAINST JONATHAN, THAT IS WHEN I KNEW JONATHAN HAS GOTTEN INTO TROUBLE IN DEED. IF BUHARI KNOWS HE IS A NO NONSENSE MAN, LET HIM AND APC MESS WITH OBASANJO, BABANGIDA OR ABUBARKAR.

APC, Buhari did not inherit a fcked up Federal government from Obj, IBB or Abubarkar. Jonathan could have investigated them if he knows they were all curropt.I knew he was in trouble when he calles OBJ a motor park tout and then sent people to his house begging him. I hope so. Let him explain to the families of those soldiers who lost their precious lives fighting BK with an inferior old weapons while the fund for the arms purchase was turned into political payout. Dasuki has said he got the okay from him. I cant wait.

  • Otile

Duncee will not bother to investigate Abusalami, Babangida, Obasanjo, and Turai, but he is all too eager to investigate only Jonathan. His dummy minions will all agree that this is justice. My God reward Nigerian leaders according to their work. All say Amen.

    • Julius

Your useless, clueless drunk brother Jonathan should have investigated them.He must have believed that they were not corrupt. . Oh wait, stealing is not corruption, so to him, it wasnt an issue , that was why he didnt bother to investigate them

      • okenwa

If buhari is God’s sent to do the job, why dont he do it to the last man standing. No insults please.

        • Julius

Who is the last man standing, if I may ask ?

  • JSA1

    DEAR ‘FEMI,

I WISH TO THANK AND ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR EFFORTS AT HANDLING THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDIA DEPARTMENT PROFESSIONALLY SINCE YOUR ASSUMPTION OF OFFICE. I AM HAPPY OUR DEAR PRESIDENT IS ONE OF US – THE MASSES THAT GOD HAS DECIDED TO USE TO CHANGE THE FACE OF GOVERNANCE SINCE MAY 29, 2015. DESPITE THE MUD THAT PDP GENERATED FOR 16 YEARS AND OUR ABLE PRESIDENT IS CLEARING BY THE DAY, I AM CONFIDENT THAT IN NO DISTANT FUTURE, WE’LL BEGIN TO FEEL MORE OF THE IMPACT OF THE CHANGE MANTRA GOING BY THE WAY OUR PAPA PRESIDENT IS GOING ABOUT IT SLOW AND STEADY. HE SHOULD CONTINUE TO GO SLOW AND STEADY NOT MINDING THE TRAP OF THE PEOPLE FROM THE KINGDOM OF DARK AGES FOR HIM TO FALL. HE SHOULD BE INFORMED THAT 90% OF THE MASSES ARE WITH HIM. ITS ONLY THE 10% ELITES THAT HAVE STOLEN NIGERIA BLIND THAT ARE MAKING NOISE SAYING THAT DUE PROCESS IN NOT BEING OBSERVED IN THE WAR AGAINST CORRUPTION.

IS IT NOW THAT THE ELITES KNOW THAT THERE IS DUE PROCESS? DID THE ELITES REMEMBER DUE PROCESS WHEN THEY WERE LOOTING NIGERIA BLIND IN VIRTUALLY ALL MINISTRIES, MDAS, AND ALL PLACES WHERE MONEY EXISTED IN GOVERNMENT? IT IS REALLY WORRISOME THAT SOME OF THESE SO-CALLED ELITES HAVE THE GUTS TO VOW NOT TO RETURN THE LOOT EVEN AFTER ACCEPTING TO HAVE LOOTED FROM OUR COLLECTIVE COMMONWEALTH.

    WHAT A COUNTRY?

MY ONLY PAIN IS THAT OUR DEAR PRESIDENT WAS NOT ALLOWED TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY WHEN HE WAS MUCH YOUNGER, ELSE, THIS TEMPLATE OF GOOD GOVERNANCE HE IS PAINFULLY LAYING TODAY WOULD HAVE BEEN LAID YEARS AGO AND WE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD THESE PAST LOOTERS PRESIDE OVER THIS COUNTRY THEREBY GIVING THEM THE CHANCE TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY THE WAY THEY DID TILL MAY 28, 2015.

IT IS THE PRAYER OF THE 90% OF THE MASSES OF NIGERIA AND THE WELL MEANING INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY THAT OUR DEAR PRESIDENT WILL SUCCEED IN HIS EFFORT AT LEADING THIS COUNTRY NIGERIA WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR THE KIND OF QUALITY AND SINCERE SUPPORT HIS IS RECEIVING FROM THE WORLD OVER.

HE SHOULD BE REMINDED ONCE AGAIN THAT NIGERIA NEEDS HIM MORE THAN HE NEEDS NIGERIA AND AS SUCH, HE SHOULD NOT BE DISTRACTED BY THEIR EVIL ANTICS. THOSE THAT ARE INNOCENT NEED NOT FEAR OUR DEAR PRESIDENT. HE SHOULD CONTINUE TO MARCH ON AND THE GATES OF HELL CAN NEVER PREVAIL AGAINST HIM IN JESUS NAME. AMEN!

ANYONE THAT WANTS TO BRING HIM DOWN FROM BOTH FAR AND NEAR, GOD WILL HUMBLE WITHOUT DELAY.

GOD WILL INCREASE HIS WISDOM IN MANAGING THIS COMPLEX ENTITY CALLED NIGERIA.

JUST BECAUSE PDP LOST ELECTIONS THEY HAVE DECIDED TO BE RAISING THE ARMY OF OPPOSITION IN THE NAME OF BIAFRA REPUBLIC THAT DIED SINCE 1970, CONTRACTING TOMPOLO TO BLOW-UP PIPELINES AND ALL CRIMINALITY JUST TO GIVE THE FAKE IMPRESSION THAT OUR PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI CAN NOT MANAGE NIGERIA. IT IS A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL. THEIR FAILURE WILL KNOW NO END UNTIL THEY CHANGE FOR THE GOOD OF NIGERIA. NIGERIA WILL NOT BREAK, RATHER, NIGERIA WILL GROW FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH AND FROM GLORY TO GLORY IN THE COMITY OF NATIONS.

ONE THING SIR, CORRUPTION WILL FIGHT BACK BUT BECAUSE PMB IS FIGHTING FOR THE NIGERIAN MASSES, GOD WILL FIGHT HIS BATTLE FOR HIM (EX. 14:14) AND ALL THE ENEMIES OF NIGERIA WILL BE DEFEATED BECAUSE THE MAJORITY HAS A COLLECTIVE WILL TO FIGHT THE 10% TO STAND STILL.

THE EVIL FORCES WANT TO GET TO MR PRESIDENT THAT’S WHY THERE WAS ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON THE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF – LT. GEN. BURATAI IN ZARIA HIDING UNDER THE SHIITES SECTS. BUT THANK GOD, GOD WAS A HEAD OF THEM AND THEY FAILED. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO FAIL IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

THE EVIL FORCES ARE NOT HAPPY THAT MR PRESIDENT DEFEATED BOKO HARAM IN 3 MONTHS WHICH PDP COULD NOT DO IN 6 YEARS. LOOK AT THE PEACE THAT HAS RETURNED TO THE NORTH EAST TODAY. HOW MANY BOMB BLAST DO WE HEAR OF TODAY COMPARED TO WHAT WE WITNESSED UNDER JONATHAN’S 6 YEARS?

IT IS OUR COLLECTIVE BELIEVE THAT THE FG BUDGET 2016 WILL BE THE BEGINNING OF ECONOMIC RECOVERY FOR NIGERIA AS THE PRESIDENT HAS STATED IN HIS BUDGET SPEECH AND ECHOED BY THE FINANCE MINISTER YESTERDAY.

WE ARE CONFIDENT IN HIS ABILITIES TO DELIVER US FROM THE SHACKLES OF POVERTY THAT PDP PUT NIGERIA INTO IN THE LAST 16 YEARS.

OUR ABLE PRESIDENT SHOULD FORTIFY HIMSELF AND NIGERIA AS WE MOVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF ANTI-CORRUPTION CRUSADE – THE OIL AND BANKING SECTOR. BY THE SPECIAL GRACE OF GOD, HE WILL WIN THE BATTLE NO MATTER WHAT PDP AND THEIR CO-TRAVELERS ARE PLANNING BY THE DAY AND NIGHT. HE THAT IS IN PMB AND THE MASSES OF NIGERIA IS GREATER THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD(PDP & Co.).

    LONG LIVE PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI,
LONG LIVE THE MASSES OF NIGERIA ON THE SIDE OF PMB!
LONG LIVE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA!

  • Dunnhill

    Na me be ya ol’boy?

  • Otile

I hate when dummy idiots_continue to croak …Jonathan should have investigated them… bla bla bla thinking that they are making sense. If Jonathan out of fear did not investigate Babangida, Abusalami, Obasanjo or Turia, should we therefore take these crooks as clean saints? What prevents Duncee from investigating them along with Jonathan? Is there a time limit for investigating criminals? It is always satisfying to see these dimwits display their stupidity_to the world.

    • Iskacountryman

in our constitution…buhari does not have the power to spare anyone…it is the courts…

      • Shugaba Nkasa

If by “our constitution”, you do not mean the crap that went into making you, then you are wrong.

Buhari is in fact empowered by the law of the land (The Constitution) to pardon anyone convicted by the Nation’s Federal Judicial System -Just like Jonathan pardoned his ‘oga’, Alamiyewhatever-his-name-is

        • Iskacountryman

anyone convicted…who has buhari convicted so far?

    • Shugaba Nkasa

Is there a time limit for investigating criminals?
Yes! Look up statute of limitations.

  • AFRICANER

Tsohon kaya sauti mafi alhẽri , bruv!

  • Shugaba Nkasa

except under extreme duress……or circumstances deemed as regrettable, Governments under new presidents do not prosecute former presidents.
Call it professional courtesy if you like……it is imply ALMOST never done.

While we still maintain that Jonathan is still protected……recent actions by his minions are making it very difficult for the current government to continue to shield Jonathan under the unspoken and non-existent gentleman’s agreement.
He (Jonathan) may very well find himself in court…and if it happens, it will sadly be due to the lack of respect and utter disdain his appointees have for him.
