The Nigerian military on Sunday confirmed that multiple attacks were carried out on oil installations in the Niger Delta area.

The Commander of the Joint Task Force, JTF, Alani Okunlola, who confirmed the attacks, also threatened that community leaders would, henceforth, be held responsible for any attack on the country’s oil and gas facilities in their domains.

Militants, believed to be loyal to embattled former Niger Delta warlord, Government Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo), attacked multiple oil facilities in protest against a court directive.

A Federal High Court in Lagos had on Thursday ordered the arrest of Tompolo for his refusal to appear for an alleged N34 billion fraud.

The ex-militant was one of the Niger Delta warlords who accepted the amnesty programme of the late Umaru Yar’Adua amnesty programme. He is being prosecuted by the anti-corruption agency, EFCC, for the alleged fraud although he has refused to appear before the commission.

On Sunday, the JTF Commander inspected the site of Friday’s pipeline explosion site at Egwa 11, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta.

Mr. Okunlola, a Major General, who led other security personnel to the explosion site, also warned that henceforth, extant laws banning the use of outboard engines with 200 horsepower and above would be enforced in the region.

´”This warning is coming as a result of the recent multiple attacks on oil facilities and platforms by suspected militants in the Niger Delta,” he said.

The JTF commander, who described the acts as economic sabotage, assured that the command would apprehend the perpetrators.

He, therefore, advised them to desist from further destruction of the nation’s oil and gas facilities.

He called on government officials and community leaders to furnished OPS and other security agencies with information that would facilitate the arrest of the perpetrators of the attacks.

He said that the acts were criminal in nature and were capable of undermining the security of the country.

“There is no way we will fold our hands and allow the criminals to get away with it.

“It is a massive sabotage and critical to national assets; we must fish out those responsible for it.

“We don’t have our men on ground in the area that is why they were able to carry out the act,’’ he said.

He assured Niger Delta residents of JTF’s determination to eliminate illegality from the region.

The Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Farouk Yahaya and the Commander, 3 Battalion, Igwe Omoke were on the team that visited the explosion site.

Others are Commander, Nigeria Navy Ship (NNS) Delta, Commodore Raimi Mohammed and other top ranking personnel from the Police and Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps.

Its easier to kill or detain unarmed civilians.. the Nigerian army is very good at that. When they see armed adversaries they suddenly ‘lack firepower’ and run away. These unfortunate attacks my the Niger Delta ‘militants’ will be of no benefit to Nigeria or Nigerians but it appears to be the only language that this government understands. They will soon be asking for negotiations with Tompolo as they are with Boko Haram. If you are an unarmed a Biafran or Shiite demonstrator you either get killed or detained. That’s Nigeria for you.

Buratai will try to avoid “collateral damage” when he started massive artillery bombardment of Delta and Bayelsa, to kill Tompolo.

May God in his infinite mercy bless these patriotic leaders of the Niger Delta. May the Almighty God from whom all good things come prosper the work of their hands and feet. May any and all who plan against them scatter even before they gather to discuss the plans. May their way be peaceful and may they protect and defend the resources of the people of the Niger Delta Republic now and for ever more, for God is with us. Amen.

My dear Niger Deltan revolutionary warriors, we the Niger Delta people support you. We stand by you. We pray for you.

For too long we have seen how the North and West of Nigeria has plundered the resources of the Niger Delta and left it desolate. Its ecosystem has witnessed wanton destruction and systemic neglect since 1957. While rocks are blasted with billions of Dollars to pave way for roads and bridges in Abuja and rivers dredged to pave way for bridges in Lagos, the Niger delta and Biafra that produces ALL (not some) of the money cannot have even clean water to drink nor clean air to breathe. The land is polluted beyond redemption that planting along the coast from is suicidal. The aquatic animals are either dead or become inedible…and what more, the natural industry-fishing, has been destroyed forever with locals left with no jobs. Same for Igbo East despite their oil, coal and unparalleled human resource.

Whereas, the richest man in Nigeria is Aliko Dangote (North) who rumour has it made his money from oil deals and oil wells of the Niger Delta…and the richest woman Nigeria and Africa, Ms Alakija (Yoruba West) made her billions from the oil wells of the Niger Delta…and this is why there is Boko haram to fight back and get power at all costs from the people of the South……… It is also the reason the North/West alliance against the East and South is always strong……. The same reason the West(Yoruba) would have supported anyone from the North even if he was Boko haram;s Shekau that contested for presidency, educated or not educated.

But will the South(Niger Delta) and East (Biafra) allow this domination over their resources? Methinks not. Secession is inevitable. A government that refuses to probe its Northern leaders who stole Nigeria is criminal s every sense of the word. IBB went away with $12.7b in 1991. Price of oil hit N234 per barrel in August of 1991. Where is the money? But becos of only $2.1b that Dasuki shared they are making noise becos they must prove that corruption started today and protect those who stole yesterday. The Niger Delta will not accept this. None of our leaders will be probed except you probe IBB and OBJ.

———–We are prepared for secession, we love the North, West and their tribes BUT we want to take charge of our destiny free from injustice. and Nigeria should not attempt to misbehave bcos they might be surprised what they get.

Tompolo is using the local people of Bayelsa and Delta as “human shields” while his massive fortunes were squandered away while the people of Niger Delta lived in abject poverty.

      • Dazmillion

Thank you for some intelligent post here. Tompolo claims to be a freedom fighter yet his people are wallowing in abject poverty while is his bank accounts are busting with billions. Whenever he wants to shake down or threaten the government, he automatically brings out a few naira notes and sends jobless youths to bomb pipelines. When the military retaliates he conveniently uses his beloved people as human shield and some crazy people support his actions. Tompolo has met his nemesis in Buhari

        • abodes_124

Yes at the end of it all Buhari and Tompolo will still be alive but some Nigerian citizens will be dead and the nation will be poorer. Buhari will be hailed for either ‘defeating’ Tompolo – a la Boko haram defeat or negotiating another amnesty. On Tompolo’s side the war will either carry on with him as the Generallisimo or he will be given another fat ‘security’ contract.

The recruitment of the Ogunboss and Africa by Ogbuku and Peterside to check the probable entry of Asari Dokubo and Tom Polo into the Ijaw areas of Rivers state in the coming elections has led to the renewed hostilities in Delta state. The strategy of the General Africa is to unsettle Tom Polo’s territory enough to get the area sufficiently militarized, and then get the APC politicians to push for the declaration of Tom Polo as a wanted man to freeze his movement during the Rivers election.
So far, Ogunboss and Africa have commenced the sponsored bombing oil and gas installation in Delta state under the watch of the JTF in the area. The Satanic move by Muhammadu Buhari’s Against Ijaw man Government Tompolo and the pople of the Niger delta-

The January 9, 2015, election in Bayelsa has broken the chain of order and unwritten code of command among ex-militants in the Niger Delta. High Chief Government Ekpempulo, also known as General Tom Polo, is widely held as the overall commander and also the marshall of the Western flank, while Alhaji Asari Dokubo, leads the Eastern Flank and in close alliance with General Tom Polo. These two agitators are widely loved and respected in local communities in the Niger Delta and have all received several chieftaincy titles for their struggle for resource control, especially during the military regime of Genereal Sani Abacha.
The new tensions in the region are purely political. It is an obvious fallout from the governorship elections in the Bayelsa state. The APC in Bayelsa state has accused Dokubo and Tompolo of drumming support for Governor Seriake Dickson. The new tensions are coming from a different direction.
Immediately after the Bayelsa state supplementary elections, our reporters gathered that one Samuel Ogbuku, chief of staff to former governor, Chief Timipre Sylva, arranged a meeting with Bayelsa militants in Port Harcourt. The agenda of the meeting was to help his friend and fellow NURSEMEN comrade, Hon. Dakuku Peterside, who is preparing to challenge Gov. Nyesom Wike, in a rerun in Rivers state, should the Supreme Court uphold the judgement of the Rivers State Elections Triunal which nullified the election of Governor Wike.

PRESIDENCY ARRANGED N100M FOR JAFARU ISA TO REFUND EFFC.

How Jafaru Isa Was Given N300million Contract to Refund N100million to EFCC.

Jafaru Isa, a retired brigadier-general, who was arrested in Abuja penultimate Wednesday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was reported to have refunded N100 million.

WazobiaReporters has gathered from a close presidency source that Jafaru Isa, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was awarded a contract through the Ministry of Education.

The contract said to be worth over N300 million was allegedly backdated to December, last year.

The contract, from which he got N100 million as mobilization fee was to build facilities in some universities.

“It was this mobilization fund that someone was instructed to go drop with EFCC,” the source said.

It should be recalled that WazobiaReporters had reported on January 11, 2016 that it was the Presidency that packaged the arrest of Jafaru Isa and the N100 million refund to give the impression that the President’s anti-corruption fight was not selective.————

Anyone that knows and understands the evolution and tiers of Nigeria would not engage in attacking the present administration and hounding it with all sorts of malicious propaganda and unfounded articles. It is a sane truth that bombing of oil installations were put on hold during GEJ’s misrule as Nigeria’s president. To say the least, Buhari is democratically elected and there is nothing any wailer can do about it. Submit to faith and help by supporting this present government to succeed. No one person is bigger than this government. Tompolo should not dear FG. No amount of Militants can conquer our Soldiers. Corrupt Jonathan is responsible for the arms in Niger Delta today. All the enemies of this country shall all bow and die. BUHARI IS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO NIGERIA

Buhari is a thief——and he should go account for the 5.6b left in the coffers opf NNPC—That is after stealing our 2.8b—–Mumu let Buhari move into the Sambisa forest to search for the Chibok girls and try to end the boko haram war which has left over 30,000 9jas dead————-and leave Tompolo alone——–Buhari has never obeyed any court order in his entire unfortunate certificate forging life. He refused to show up at the Oputa panel and did not obey the court order in dasuki and Akpos—How are we sure he will obey a court order on Tompolo’ When some Apes in APC– say Buhari is the best they often rely on their old regional ideas to market him in that they believe those of them from the old regions of Nigeria own the soul and heart of the Ijaw Nation—No army can conquer the people of the niger delta–the same way they are yet to liberate the north from the tight grip of the Fulanis-

Muhammadu Buhari’s And Government Tompolo’s Impasse

Tom Polo and Asari Dokubo have all called for peace in the region. Scribe of United Niger Delta Energy Development Security Summit (UNDEDSS), Mr. Tony Uranta, has called the renewed hostilities a “false flag operations” intended by the APC administration to invade the Niger Delta and possibly declare a state of emergency in the region. In a statement released on his Facebook wall, Uranta reminded the Niger Delta people of Hiter’s “False Flag Operations” and how Nazi Germany employed same to justify her blitzkrieg attack on Poland. He ended his statement assuring that “The Niger Delta is NOT at war with Nigeria!”
The Council of Ethnic Leaders (CEL) has also called on the minister of transport, Chibuike Amaechi and Hon. Dakuku Peterside to immediately stop the evil plot. Leader of the Council HRH Isreal Bokuku Alamie warned that the invasion of Rivers communities by unknown military squads, and the plot to set up Tom Polo for refusing to join the APC is “undemocratic and evil.”
The APC Chairman in Rivers state has denied that the party has any hand in the renewed hostilities, but said that party supports the military effort in rooting out criminal elements in the state. He refused to comment on their meeting with General Africa and Ogunboss.

President Buhari and his APC cheerleaders have finally succeeded in their efforts to turn Nigeria into a Banana Republic in record time.
    1. Under Buhari’s rule, we have gone from being the largest economy in Africa to being an also poorly ran economy.
    2. Nigeria was once the fastest growing economy in Africa. Just 8 months ago. Nigeria is no longer in the top 10.
    3. The Naira has lost more than 40% of its value in the 8 months that Buhari has ruled Nigeria. 40%!!!
    4. President Buhari himself announced that he would not respect court judgements that goes against his beliefs. We are officially lawless.
    5. President Jonathan set up a public healthcare architecture that turned Ebola into the epidemic that never happened in Nigeria, of course with the heroic efforts of the late Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh and her colleagues, and we lost only 3 Nigerians to Ebola. Lassa Fever has killed over 40 Nigerians so far documented within the last 2 weeks, and Buhari’s government has not made any significant effort to tackle this deadly epidemic.
    6. For the first time in the history of Nigeria, and perhaps the world, the National Assembly has been presented with two ridiculous budgets, both emanating from the Presidency, and neither of which has been denied, this after the disgraceful drama of the missing budget.
    7. Buhari appointed his relations as Chairman of INEC, and the result has been their disgraceful conduct of elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states, and the entrance into common Nigerian lexicon of the word “inconclusive”.
    8. Buhari’s record on security, despite his pedigree as a retired General, has been abysmal, to be frank. The Chibok girls have not been found, and Buhari has absolved himself of responsibility by telling their parents that their abduction did not happen on his watch.
One abduction that did happen on his watch, the kidnapping of 170 girls from the village of Bam, has enjoyed a conspiracy of silence by both the local and the international media and Buhari’s government
    9. Tie all these in with the unbelievable actions of some of Buhari’s ministers and appointees, and you get a sinking feeling in your stomach….
Nigeria is officially a Banana Republic, run on rumour, innuendo and the whims and caprices of its aged Emperor and his powerful minions.
    May God save Nigerians.

  • Nationalists Awake!

All of this is about a man who wants to continue to assert his outlaw and above the law status overiding the sovereign will of a Nation.Whether it is done in the guise of sectional interest, freedom fighter interest or whatever guise it MUST STOP – Time has proven that his co travellers have only ever cared about personal gain and enrichment.Whether it is Niger Delta struggle,Biafran struggle or Shiite interest or Boko haram they have all proven to be divisive, criminal and self profiting ONLY to the instigators.A Nigerian imortalized the words”My fellow Nigerians”,and has since gone on to be part of Nigerian folklore. His choice when saddled with leadership was a choice between being a Nationalist or to pander to artificial divisions.and he choose the former. It saddens me when i see some of the kind of “strong” language we use on ourselves and those who are in positions of authority(although some certainly deserve some stick). Our ways seem so set and our course determined,it is frightening.Well, Fellow Nigerians, our choice is simpler today as the options are so clear…Between our DOOM or Our GLORY.Pandering to ethnic,religious,political(APC/PDP),sectionalist sentiments will guarantee our DOOM for ultimately no house divided on itself can stand. Our only salvation is the revival of Nationalist ethos.Fingers can be pulled apart but a fist is well a FIST………Corruption is an anathema to the promise and idea that is Nigeria.I say to all those who ate our “collective yams” from whatever party, religion, ethnicity, interest and are called to give account – let the chips fall where they may!

    NOW, I SUPPORT A COUP:

So, OBJ too can be gagged, where is Wole Soyinka, Tam David West, Pastor Bakare, Adeboye, Revn Okonkwo, Tinubu, where are the Southern leaders, some of the Yorubas that brought us to this point?

Why have they left when the ovation is loudest and left the fight for the younger generation?

I believe this is what they are thinking, okay, we have finished the country and sold our conscience, we would soon depart and allow the younger ones to stew in their mess.

Posterity can never be kind nor have a good word to say about you lot. History would hold all of you accountable.

You all foisted a tyrant on us now, you too have gone deaf and dumb, this deafness and dumbness is not from senility but from fear of what the tyrant would do to shut them up.

As in seriously Buhari can order for people to be picked and kept in prison at his leisure without any charge and we are looking on helplessly and some are clapping, hailing him still as the saviour and no one has the temerity nor can stand up to ask him why?

    Really disheartening.

    ‪#‎Sobbing‬.

Intimidation, subjugation, harassment of perceived enemies is rife and has taken over our young democracy and destroyed all the institutions that were built.
How did we get here? Why did we allow this?

    ‪#‎TyrantBuhariMustBeStopped‬. Before he stops us.

    I am a Niger Deltan and I ‪#‎StandWithNigerDelta‬.

    I can’t stop agitating.

It is fool’s paradize that we still hold the view of victory of militants in Niger Delta. A stitch in time saves nine. Rebels hardly win wars.
The Tibetans now submerged in China as well as Polisario frontiers of Western Sahara are almost forgotten in Morroco. Ijaws should know that the Kalabaris will not claim to be Ijaws when time to answer fathers names draw closer. Resources hardly make countries great but education and service deliveries do the magic.

    • Otile

This is yoruba talk. Yorubas are always defining ethnic relationships for people east of the Niger. The Kalabaris are treated no better than Ijaws by Fulani yoruba oppressors yet they preach division among others. You can hardly hear the yorubas criticize their Fulani masters’ oppression, parasitism and arrogance. The next thing this yoruba boy Bonny will tell you is that he is not yoruba. Pathetic

  • Dr Pat Kolawole Awosan

The Niger Delta community leaders including former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan should be held responsible for the atrocity committed by their locally groomed terrorist-gangsters who wrecking untold havoc on Federal oil pipelines within South-South territory. All the elders of Niger Delta support the Niger Delta rebels who are damaging oil pipelines.
@Bonny:Thanks for commonsense comment but Niger Delta rebels, would at the end come to their senses.
@Otile:You are submerged in your ethnic sentimental viruses with your focus attacks against Yoruba-race at all times. You sound very pathetic and idiotic with your focus attacks against Yoruba people who are far miles ahead of your ethnic group in education,democratic-politic,infrastructural-development,civilization etc.You are a loser at any time.
