The former chairman of Ogun State People Democratic Party (PDP), member of National Executive Council (NEC) of PDP and the ex-chairman of governing council of Yaba College of Technology, Chief Joju Fadairo, has said that the plan by the Buhari administration on selective probing to fight corruption in the country was unjustified.

He said, in Abeokuta, on Wednesday that corruption should be fought across the parties that served under the Jonathan administration, not only PDP. The allegation levelled against some members of the people at the national level should also levelled on the members of APC at the state level, he added.

Joju, also said that President Muhammad Buhari had lost focus on his electioneering promises, because the Nigeria economy was experiencing hard times. He said that “the change we are seeing now is not the type of change good people of Nigeria are clamoring for as there is nothing to show that APC government has the mission and vision to rule the country”. He said the only change we are experiencing now is hike on petrol prices, tremendous increase on our exchange rates as ever, increase in Boko Haram killings and the promises on five thousand naira (N5,000) for the unemployed youth in the country had not been fulfilled.

The President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has disclosed that it inherited a total of N13.6 billion from the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration as loot recovered from family of former Head of State, late Gen. Sani Abacha.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, stated this to journalists at the end of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House, Abuja.
The NEC comprises state governors, federal attorney-general, Central Bank of Nigeria, Ministries of National Planning, Finance, and Federal Capital Territory.

Ortom said the balance of the Abacha loot as at end of November 2015 stood at $26,000,389 and £19,000,033 respectively.
According to the governor, giving the exchange rate of N260 per dollar and N360 per pound, the total balance is estimated at N13.6 billion.

Ortom said the Buhari administration which came on board in May this year, has not touched the money.
He said: “We were also briefed on updates on Abacha loots in Council. The Accountant General of the Federation reported that the dollar account as at November 2015 ending has a balance of $26,000,389.00 while the pounds sterling has a balance of £19,000,033.00 That is where we are today.”

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, said the Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefuele, briefed the Council on foreign exchange policy. –

With the way things stand today, Buhari’s orchestrated fight against corruption is laughable. None of his so-called culprits will ever go to jail. This is democracy where the rule of law must take its course. It is unlike the 80’s when Buhari was the sole administrator of Nigeria and when decrees were made instantly and backdated whenever it pleased him to deal with his perceived enemies. For as long as people like Rotimi Amaechi and Raji Fashola are being honoured, no other person will go to jail. The whole noise about corruption is propaganda and that is where the whole thing will end.

Eastern Obolo has one poor road to its communities. I understand this

road was constructed either before or during Obong Attah’s regime.

There is also an ’empty’ health centre which I suspect was constructed

by shell. There are 2 dilapidated schools in Eastern Obolo, there is

an old generation church and 2 new generation churches, there is also

    a local government head quarters.

Live in Eastern Obolo revolves around shallow water fishing, and

burial ceremonies. Their boats are made of woods and dilapidated to a

fault. I call them moving coffins on water. They live in thatched

homes and still depend on raffia lives for their roofs. Firewood is

their only source of Energy and cooking. There is endemic poverty in

    Eastern Obolo

There are no industries, no good roads, no water, no good schools, no

functional health centre. Electricity visits them like strangers few

hours in a month, but this is not guaranteed. You can hardly find any

visible growth both in the people and in the surrounding environment.

There is no state government presence in Eastern Obolo,”the people are

    total marginalized’.

Beside Eket and Ibeno, Eastern Obolo has the highest number of oil

wells in Akwa Ibom State which attracts huge revenue to the state

every month, but these people have nothing to show for.

There are basically 3 interested points in Eastern Obolo. These are

the waterside, one old generation church, and the LGA HQ.

The plight of Eastern Obolo is replicated in all the oil producing

areas/communities in the state. They live in penury while watching

helplessly as their source of livelihood are destroyed by oil

prospecting and exploration companies without any form of

However, there are several perspectives to the state of neglect of oil

bearing communities that anchored on greed, dishonesty and

The Depth of Eastern Obolo Marginalition

The marginalization covers every facet of the politics and policies of

    Akwa Ibom State as follows:

    1. Despite been the number one oil producing local government area in

Akwa Ibom state and the only onshore and offshore local government

area, Eastern Obolo person never being appointed into the Board of the

Niger Delta Development commission either into the executive or

commissionership position since the inception of NDDC.

    2. Outside, the only road constructed by CCECC during the Obong

Victor Attah administration, Eastern Obolo Local Government cannot

show any other project despite over 85% contribution to the financial

    base of the state.

    3. People in Amazaba community had communal crisis with their

neighbors, Ikot Akpan Udo In Ikot Abasi Local Government Area for over

6 years now and hundreds of people been displaced, the government of

Akwa Ibom State had done nothing to seeing to the peaceful resolution

of the crisis to enable the displaced persons return back home.

Independent International Investigators may soon commence a probe into the sources of funds (billions of naira) the APC has used since the campaigns to pay its e-Rats who do nothing all day but stay on the computer typing gibberish and insults. The investigators described the job of an E-rat as “the most despicable way to earn a living and corrupt the vision of the youths,” adding that the practice must be stopped immediately. Anyone involved in that would be prosecuted. So, all APC e-Rats take note, and please, be ready to justify your pay (by stating what you do for a living) once they investigations start. To trace you is easier than you can imagine.

This is the same typical Nigerian Judge that will refuse a common thief or lesser offender bail? Anyway let’s see how they will come up with a Surety of =N=250 Million with legitimate income. Both Senate and the Judiciary are now in the business of frustrating the anti-corruption battle. If I were President Buhari, I would start my anti-corruption sledge hammer at the Judiciary most honestly. As bad as Abacha was, he tried to reform the Judiciary and some Kangaroo Judges were shown the way out. That is where President Buhari should have started from so that the Jekudujera Judges will know that he damn means business!
