The Kano State anti-graft agency said on Monday that it has a water-tight case against the state’s emirate council.

The News Agency of Nigeria quotes the Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhyi Gado, as saying that though it has a strong case against the emirate council, the probe will remain suspended to avoid concurrent investigation.

PREMIUM TIMES reported the suspension of the probe on Saturday after the Kano State House of Assembly also said it was going to investigate the Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi.

The anti-graft agency was investigating allegations that the emirate council mismanaged N6 billion of its funds, an allegation the council has denied providing details of its expenditure.

      Oh, is it now true???!!!

      When Jonathan’s government discovered all these and more and decided to make Sanusi answer to them it was persecution against Sanusi, so now, is it time for it to become the truth???!

      One by one the truth will come to the open, even the grand conspiracy of the Chibok girls kidnap must surely unravel sooner than later.

        Just keep quiet. Rumour mongers. What is true? Peddling of unfounded lies. Devil’s advocate. You guys are jobless.

          @Es3:disqus,

          BUT WHY IS EFCC NOT TAKING OVER THE SIX BILLION NAIRA KANO EMIRATE INVESTIGATION?

          DOES KANO EMIRATE have IMMUNITY from EFCC INVESTIGATION UNDER THE CONSTITUTION?

          • Uzoma John

            Have you petitioned EFCC? Does EFCC act on heresay. If the State Assembly conclude it’s investigation and find any member of the Emirate Council or even Sanusi himself wanting, it’s their duty to send the report to EFCC. So there is process to everything. Not because someone hears Sanusi and he starts shouting crucify him.

          • Es3

            The Emirate is not exempted from EFCC neither is anyone or anything, as long it has financial and economic crime(s) content or ‘associates’!

            But EFCC is on Buhari/APC government leash (chained EFCC) that only barks and bites only those who are not with the broom!!!

            Or why do you think droves and droves of corrupt politicians are dumping their political platforms for Buhari/APC???!

        • Es3

          A good proof of senility of seeing the truth that millions witnessed you but denying same the way you have done here?!!!

          Should I be surprised??? No, it is a common language in APC!!!

          =//=Remember campaigne promises???!!!

      @disqus_N9eI1Jg9MJ:disqus ,

      Nigeria must make conscious effort to look like a normal country. So far, the country looks abnormal.

      Can you imagine these amounts of money being detected by government audit in Britain or America?

      And since the year 2015, President Buhari has taken no steps to effect recovery or bring a case to trial.

      • Iskacountryman

        we like the way it looks…

  • Reginald Dandeson

    It was also very clear that the northern establishment would go after Sanusi because of his critical posture in recent times, the same way it was clear that the presidency would go after Femi Fani Kayode.

    The weakling (PMB) and his gang of thieves likes to bully critics of this ailing government.

  • Sanssouci

    Why not shut up and wait to present the evidence before the courts if you are so certain to nail him? In december your fellow EFCC showboater Magu, carefully got his detectives to sensationalize Bala Mohammed’s case by leaking the astronomical figure of 1 Trillion naira fraud. after 6 weeks of detention and 5 months of investigation EFCC was able to charge him with 800Million fraud last week, that is like 0.08% of the initial allegation, I wonder what happened to the 999 Billion. Perhaps if the law enforcement agencies actually studied their cases and investigated thoroughly instead of running to the press to entertain the gullible we would have more convictions.
