The extremist Boko Haram sect is currently attacking Bajoga town of Gombe state, residents have told PREMIUM TIMES.

A PREMIUM TIMES reporter could hear sounds of gunshots and explosion as he interviewed a resident of the town, who telephoned to inform this newspaper of the development

“Sound of explosion and gunshots woke us up from sleep and we had to hurriedly leave to the outskirts of town where I am calling you from,” said our source, who gave his name as Mr. Sunday.

Bajoga hosts the Ashaka cement plant, and the Boko Haram sect carried out a similar raid on the plant last month during which they reportedly carted away four Toyota Hilux vans packed with explosives.

The spokesperson of the Gombe State Command of the Nigerian Police could not be reached for comments at this time

Why are Premium Times Reporters always in the towns where Boko haram attacks are about to take place? Or do they always have a forehand information about these impending attacks, or are even part of the conspiracy in the ongoing insurgency in the North east? #Justwondering

    • Spoken word

That’s why we have the media.if you want to remain in the dark about the happenings in Nigeria then don’t read any media stories and remain clueless

You have been in this forum for a while, why would you ask this kind of question?

People work with people to achieve negative or positive results.

Honestly speaking, Premiumtimes is doing his best to tell nigerians how the state of nation is been runned and what the government would have been hiding away from the common man. It reveals the wickedness of the GEJ administration by allowing many lives to be lost every day in nigeria. We are here together and we know dat we can only live once. We need a change and nothing will stop us from getting it in 2015

I urge the securities to collect Engine and Chasis numbers of the Hiluxes and APCs recovered by them from Boko Haram and track through manufacturers to know how these vehicles arrive at their camps.

I am very sure Niger, Chad, Mali governments are complicit in this whole thing

    • Oluwadara

Innocent you. So you never knew that 95% of the weapons and vehicles with BH were easly snatch from the Military and Police that are fighting them. Last Monday’s attack in Damaturu BH lost about 8 vehicles, but got away with 6 belonging to Inec and 4 from State university and unknown number of vehicles belonging to police and JTF, What of the gwoza attack the video is in you tube for you to see wonders, what of Ashaka attack when they got away with 3 hilux full of explosives, just to mention a few. When I heard any body asking for “sponsors” of BH is just consider that person as either very doll or deliberately denying the fact. Let the military and police disclose the weaponry and vehicles they loss to boko haram in the 3 years in Bama, Monguno, Gwoza, Baga, Damboa, Buni yadi and hundereds of Police stations and military formation, let banks tell us the sum of money carried away from them during attacks, let govt. agencies tell us the vehicles snatch away from them, and most importantly let the people of NE tell us the amount of money they gave out of fear for ransoms on kidnappings, treats and extortions. Is there and then Nigerians (that do not know) will know BH needs no sponsor. My challenge to Nigerian journalist is always to investige all this factors not just doing gossips. Is then we know that the notherners were terribly miss construed for sponsoring BH.

      • Strong System

This Boko crisis was unimaginable, so both the northerners and southerners couldn’t just grasp what was having.
But now, atleast, reasonable people are in the picture
